The Way You Lie {CLOSED}

Biting on her lower lip, Lizzie Trager stood in front of Teller-Morrorw, where she'd spent many of days and nights. Her father, Alexander 'Tig' Trager was in a motorcycle club with life long friends. Lizzie had sworn not to come back here, she would stay away because of her ex. But here she was, four years later. Biting her lip she began walking towards the clubhouse, nerves bottling inside of her.

Opie took and downed the beer as he let a long sigh escape his lips. Talking with Jax he took and told his friend of his failing marriage, and everything going on behind closed doors. His wife was leaving him, because he had chose the club over her. Deep down he felt bad, but he knew, she knew, he couldn't stay away. This had been the only life he'd ever known.

Jax looked over at his best friend as he talked about his failing marriage. He sipped on his beer as he nodded and listened. "She shouldn't make you choose, Opie. Is she loves you like she says she does then wouldn't." He looked up when the door open to the clubhouse and his mouth fell open. "Is that Lizzie?" He heard Opie ask. Jax watched her look around then their eyes met and he couldn't stop looking. It's been 4 years since he saw her. He wonder if Jess was with her. Oh how Jax missed them both but he definitely missed Lizzie the most.

Jess had watched her best friend walk into the clubhouse but she couldn't pull herself through to go in. She ducked down when she saw Tig, Chibs, and her father pull up on their motorcycle. She hadn't seen her father, Bobby in four years. She left when her best friend, Lizzie left. Jess sighed heavily as she waited about ten minutes later after her father went into the clubhouse before getting out of the truck. She took a deep breath then headed for the door. She walked into the building and saw everybody around Lizzie. So she quietly made her way to the bar and got herself a drink. She sat at the bar and watched everybody celebrate that Lizzie was back.

Turning a little seeing Jess walk in, Lizzie took and smiled at her best friend. Hearing her dad's voice she turned in his direction hearing his voice, "Elizabeth!" Tig called out staring at his little girl.

"Hey old man." Lizzie smiled walking towards him and hugging him tightly.

Seeing the blonde haired man at the bar, she felt his eyes lock with hers. Feeling everything get to her fast, she bit on her lip keeping eye contact with him. It'd been too long, but she had done what was best.

Opie saw Lizzie but the person that tried to sneak in, caused his heart to race a little. Seeing Jess come in and go to the bar. A smirk formed into his lips a little. Walking out of the group, Opie made his way over towards Jess a smile in tow.

Jax couldn't help but smirk as they kept eye contact the whole time she was talking to her father. He only looked away when he saw Opie walk back over to the bar and he waved at Jess then looked back over at Lizzie. She had changed a lot but she was still so damn beautiful. Jax walked up to her after some time and stuck his hand out. "Hey Lizzie."

Jess sipped on her whiskey and glanced over at him when he stood next to her. She couldn't help the blush rise in her cheeks. It had been four years since she had saw him. He had gotten a little more rough looking and his beard was still long. His hair was longer. What she wouldn't do to run her fingers in his hair. She felt him nudge her and she turned a bit and looked at him. Jess downed the rest of her drink and nodded. "Long time no see, Henry." It was her turn to send him a smirk.

Opie looked at Jess and smirked, "No one has called me that in ages. Just pops when he's pissed off at me." Opie laughed softly staring at Jess. "How have you been, Jess?" Opie questioned her.

Biting her lip she saw her dad move to her side as she eyed Jax a moment. "Jackson." She simply replied staring at him as she gave a little, knowing smirk.

Jax grinned widely at her. "How have you been? What brings you back?" He said looking back at Jess and Opie then back at Lizzie. He memories came flooding back to when they were younger and all he could do was smile.

Jess nodded and laughed a bit. "Thiink you only let me call you that. Jax wasn't even aloud to call you that." She smiled and asked for another drink. "I've been okay. Just working a lot. Have you been staying out of trouble?"

Shrugging Opie grinned a little, "Not a whole lot." Opie told her smiling. "Working a lot, huh? That's about all you did when you were here, other than hang out with me." Opie smiled at her.

Lizzie looked at him, "What is this, twenty-questions with your ex?" Lizzie grinned. "Dad asked me to come home. I did, plus I got a job offer an hour away." She shrugged.

Jess nodded, "yeah, I guess I wouldn't say I work a lot anymore though." She shrugged and looked at the whiskey. "How's the wife?"

Jax chuckles and shook his head "just curious. Aren't we friends?" He asked her as he smiled at her then nodded to the table to sit at with him.

Opie stared at her at the mention of wife. Sighing to himself he shook his head, "We're getting divorced." Opie told her honestly. "She doesn't approve of the club life." Opie told Jess.

Rolling her eyes playfully, she walked with Jax. Sitting down she looked at him, "I suppose we are." Lizzie shrugged staring at Jax with a smile.

Jess looked at him, frowning "shit, I'm sorry." She sipped her drink then look straight forward. "She shouldn't make you choose like that." She finished a drink and stood up.

Jax smiled, nodding as he sat down. "Where are you working at? Are you going to live here or?" He asked a little too excitedly. He took a drink of his beer as he looked over at her.

Lizzie raised an eyebrow and smiled, "I am living with dad till I find a place." She told him. "I am working at a school." She told him softly.

Jess nodded, "we were close back in the day." She laughed a bit and looked at him.

Jax nodded "you always liked kids, yeah?" He said sipping on his beer.

Opie chuckled slightly grabbing himself a beer. Taking a long swig off of it, he nodded his head to her. "We were. I have no idea what went wrong." Opie admitted staring at Jess as he sat beside of her as the two talked about their past.

Lizzie nodded her head, "I did." Lizzie took and traced the rim of her beer sighing. "I heard you and drug head, Wendy had a child together." Lizzie glanced up from her beer staring at Jax. "How is he doing?" Lizzie asked softly.

Jess looked at him then stood up. "You know, I should really be getting home." She chugged her beer then turned to see Lizzie still chatting with Jax. "It was nice to see you, Opie. Sorry about your divorce." Jess stormed out of the building. She was pissed. He knew what happened and he played it off like it was nothing.

Jax sighed but grinned and nodded, "yeah, we have a son together. His name is Abel." He said looking at her then at her fingers. He looked up when he heard Jess storm out. "What did you do, Op?" Jax laughed a bit but then stopped when Lizzie didn't seem happy.

Watching her begin to exit the bar. Opie took and rushed towards her as he grabbed her hand. This was a long shot, but hell he had to do something. "Jess." Opie looked at her seeing her turn and look at her. "Can we please start over? Start fresh. I have missed you." Opie admitted.

"Probably the same thing you did, Jax." Lizzie downed the remainder of her beer standing up. "You two don't know something good, till it's gone." She paused staring at the two men. "Honestly, I don't think either of you realize what you had, not even when it was gone." She got a little louder. "You fucked, Tara, then Wendy same day. I could've been here, still with you. Fucks sake, Jax. I am better than the two of them." Lizzie paused.

"I never once fucking hurt you. Nor did anything to jeopardize your club or anything. But you. YOU." Lizzie saw her dad get up shaking his head. "Fuck it, it doesn't matter anymore." Lizzie snarled turning on her heels and quickly walking past Opie and Jess as she exited the club heading for her car.

"Start fresh? How many times have we started fresh before?" Jess asked shaking her head as she looked around. She pulled her hand away and looked down. "She's my ride so I have to go." She said then walked out of the building. She knew that he followed her out but she didn't turn around. She walked to the car and climbed in looking at Lizzie, noticing both Jax and Opie standing there.

Jax sat there for a few moment. He wasn't sure what to say and before he could say anything she was out the door and so wasn't Jess. He got up and followed Opie out the door and saw Jess get in the passenger seat. They both looked at them then watched them drive away. "What the hell just happen, Opie?" Jax looked up at him then at the car coming in. It was his son Abel being brought to him.

"We both got told, by our ex's." Opie sighed narrowing his eyes at Wendy. "It's the truth though, man. We both had amazing lives with them. And fucked them up for women who don't even want us now, when we could've had those two who loved, and cared for us." Opie told his best friend sighing.

Lizzie drove as she sighed heavily closing her eyes. "I had hoped this would've went ten times better, than what it did." Lizzie told her frowning. "God, it got so fucked up in a mud slide." She frowned wishing things hadn't happened like it did.

Jess looked out the window as Lizzie drove. "He wanted to start fresh. He literally said that. I can't just forget the shit that happened. They made a fucking bet and they both broke our hearts." She sniffed. She hated how much Opie made her feel. He could snap his fingers and she'd be his again. "A fucking bet, Lizzie. How could they do that?" Jess asked her best friend.

"We will get them back, I promise you that." Jax patted Opie's back then head inside with Abel. He needed to find out where they lived first. If they lived separately or together. He walked over to Tigs and Bobby with a grin. They both shook their heads. "We are staying out of this. Those two are our daughters." Bobby said getting up with Tigs. Tigs pinched Abels cheek as they walked out. "Damnit." Jax said bouncing Abel on his lap.

Opie grinned, "So was that your master plan?" Opie sat down pinching his god son's cheeks laughing. "Going to their dads. You know those two old men aren't going to give up anything. They protect them, especially since were the two dicks that broke their hearts." Opie sighed heavily looking at Jax. "Maybe we could drive around town, I am sure their living together. Probably either in that new apartment complex in town, or either that house that was just recently sold." Opie stared at his best friend.

Pulling into the driveway of the home, the two had went in half and bought. Getting out of the car she made her way inside with Jess on her heels. Grabbing them both beers, she took and handed Jess hers as she walked into the living space. Sitting on the couch she sighed heavily staring at her best friend, "I know." She finally said about the bet. Looking at her lap she felt the tears fall from her eyes. "I mean, am I just a bet? We were engaged, we were days away from getting married. He fucked it all up. Because that pill head came around." Lizzie let the tears fall freely and sighed wiping her eyes and sniffling.
