Addison was terrified as she ran through the streets, clinging to her bag. It held all of her belongings - two sweaters, one that hardly could function with how thin it was and one change of pants. She wore another sweater at the moment, trying to mask her scent as much as she could. She knew that if she didn't get away from the hunters, that they would drag her to some place she never wanted to be. She would be taken to jail, to a place for wayward omegas to learn their place. That was the worst possible solution as far as she had even thought. Nothing worse could have possibly existed as far as she knew.
Launching around the corner into a dark alley, Addison was heading toward the bridge in the city. She knew that if she could get there, she could get to the other side of the city and just a few blocks away, she would hit the forest. That was her best option. Her only option that she knew might be able to keep her safe. Might.
Addison's panic only continued to grow as she heard the footsteps behind her. They were getting closer and closer, the alphas' scents plaguing her. It made her sick, how strong they were. She could tell how strong they were, that they could hurt her if they wanted to. Or they could take care of her... but that wouldn't be the case. They were chasing after her to drag her to jail. She was homeless, after the curfew that had been enforced, and she was an omega. Her rights had been completely stripped from her. She had nowhere to go that was truly safe.
Until a man appeared at the end of the alleyway. Addison skidded to a halt, her eyes wide as she stared up at wide, blue eyes. She shrank away from him, whimpering as she glanced behind her. The man was an alpha, she knew that. He wasn't safe. He couldn't be safe. "S-Sorry. I'm trying to get home," she bit out, trying to step around him.
