Catherine was starting to get more and more uneasy around Henry. She loved him more than she had ever thought possible when she first met the alpha knight. She'd been alone and afraid when Henry carried her off to the castle he had sworn his allegiance to. She would serve as his personal servant, the only way a knight could possibly keep an omega around. The thought had been nerve-wracking at first but with time, her job had become easier. She cared for Henry, she kept his room tidied, made sure he ate and was there to help him bathe. It had certainly been awkward at first and now, it meant nothing at all. She hardly reacted whenever Henry would ask her to draw a bath after a long, hard day of training.
But lately, she had noticed a shift in the way Henry would look at her. It was verging on the leering she had witnessed other alphas do during feasts, to the other unclaimed omegas who lived in the castle only to serve them. It was happening more and more often, particularly when Henry had been drinking.
Having done his laundry, Catherine was in the process of dropping his clothes over the balcony connected to his room. She was only relieved because Henry had always let her stay in his room, a small cot in the corner for her to rest. There had always been a distinct barrier between them so that Catherine felt comfortable and safe - something that had been important to Henry in the beginning. She had never felt.. unsafe with him, before... but the unease was something she simply couldn't shake if she was with him for too long. Henry was starting to drink more and more often, alone in his room with anyone other than her around.
