Abigail thoughts were racing a mile a minute as she started for the stairs that would put distance between her and Syverson. Before she could even take more than two steps away, Sy's fingers grasped her arm and yanked her backward. She looked up to him, a sneer on her face. "Don't you talk to me like one of your sol-" Abigail's words were cut off before she could even finish speaking. His hand connected with her cheek and she hit the ground the next moment.
Suddenly her mind was silent, her omega whimpering as she pressed herself back against the counter. Abigail whimpered at Syverson's words, tears clouding her vision as she stared at his feet. The little nickname that would normally have sent a blush covering her cheeks made her blood run cold instead. Her bottom lip wobbled as she sniffled, unable to convince herself to even nod her head to show she understood.
Manging to force herself to nod, Abigail's thoughts were racing all over again. She had never been afraid of Syverson before but she was now. He had never hurt her and now, she was left unsure of what he was going to do to her. "I-I'm.. I'm sorry," she breathed, her voice breaking around a sob. She squeezed her eyes shut and moved to wipe away her tears. "L-Let me.. let me just finish dinner. It'll be done in a second, okay?" She whispered, not daring to even sit up until Syverson let her.
