It's been barely two weeks and Zeke was already back to the sport that he loved to play. The idea of continuing normal life after their parents' death, blew Raisen's mind. Then again, he wasn't there. He didn't hear the screams, the screeching of tires. Smell the smoke or see the blood. He wasn't there, he was here, in Canada. Playing a game when it all went down. Not Raiden though, no, she was with her parents. Coming home from the movies. Sitting on the passenger side, the side that wasn't smashed in like a sardine can.

Cheering erupted from the stadium as the Wolves scored. Raiden's bright green eyes watched at number twelve, her brother, skated circles with his arms up. Then, he went to one of the taller guys on the team and patted his back. He was the guy who had gotten into a fight a little while ago. The defender is the name of the position if Raiden's memory served her right. Mica something or other. Zeke had told Riley all of the guy's names, but most of them didn't stick with her. Her mind wasn't really on listening to her older brother talk sport at the moment.

A couple of moments later, the buzzer went off. The fans stood up and headed towards the exits to leave or to try and get an autograph from the players. Maneuvering through the people, Raiden winced as her sprained wrist was smacked by a couple of kids running to get autographs. "Little brats," Rai mumbled, moving her arm so that it was closer to her body. Then, once she was on the main level of the stadium, she walked towards the south side of the stadium. It was where the players usually exited, and also where Zeke had told her to wait for him.

Moving towards one of the pillars, Raiden pulled out her phone with her good hand. Her visitor pass would have allowed her more into the stadium where the players' friends and family got to watch the game, but she didn't want to meet strangers on her own. It just wasn't her scene.

Once the game was over, Mica took in a deep breath of air. He was always a bit tired after the games since he had quite a bit of ice time. But this was what he loved to do and Mica was damn good at it. Before they were able to get into the changing rooms, Mica stopped to take a few photos and sign a couple of things. Though, he then made his way inside. He was quick to pull off his hockey gear and jump into a cool shower, wanting to keep his muscles loose. But he did not spend too long in there, just wanting to get some of the sweat off his body, not fully bathe.

Jumping out, Mica wiped down his hair and dressed in his normal clothes, some jeans, and a button-down shirt. He also sprayed some cologne on. Mica couldn't be sure that he would go straight home so he wanted to look and smell decent. Sometimes the guys wanted to go drink for a bit or whatever. And other times, they would get bombarded by fans on the way out. Either way, Mica was sure as Hell going to make it home before midnight. Other than that, he didn't care.

"What are you doing tonight Zeke?" Mica asked him as he ruffled up his hair a bit. He got along with most of his team but Zeke and he were actually friends.

"Gotta go get my sister but no plans besides that," Zeke responded.

"Your sister is here and you're not gonna let me meet her?" Mica joked. "Why are you always hiding her for huh?" Zeke just chucked a towel at him jokingly as he let out a laugh. "Well, come meet her then, you weirdo."

Mica agreed and soon the two of them were heading out of the changing room. The man was just curious about Zeke's family since he was typically very private about them. Hell, he didn't even know anything about his parents besides the fact that they died two weeks ago.

Meme's, cute pictures of dogs, and random cooking recipes rolled down Raisen's screen as she scrolled through Facebook. Her head rested against the pillar that Zeke had told her to meet him by. An being the lovely little sister that she was, Rai listened. Even though she was given the okay to do a little bit of driving, Zeke still argued that he'd feel better about things if he was the one to drive her around instead. At least until she got her footing and learned where things were.

The crowd of fans slowly disappeared. Having gotten autographs or photo's with the players that they wanted. Or, had just gotten bored of just waiting; Thinking that the players were just waiting them out so that they could leave on their own. Which, Raiden didn't blame some of them for doing that. She was pretty sure she'd be more than happy to stay a little later after excreting so much energy in an intense game.

Looking up, Raiden stood up straighter as her eyes landed on her brother. His almost identical eyes landing on her, a small smile playing across his lips. Even though Rai had just gotten into town and they hadn't talked a lot lately. She still felt this huge comfort inside of her whenever she saw her older brother. He was her protector. He always stopped the bullies, helped her with homework, and walked her to and from school. He was still her best friend.

"Hey, good game," Raiden said quietly as Zeke came close enough to talk to. Then, her eyes looked up towards the giant that was standing next to her tall brother. He was probably a couple of inches taller than him, and from what Raiden could tell from how he looked, he looked like he could bench more as well.

"Um, hi." Raiden squeaked, then lowered her gaze shyly. Hiding her phone and her sprained wrist behind her back. "Rai, this is Mica. He's my teammate. As well as our defenseman." Zeke said, ignoring his sisters' shy nature and introduced the two. "Mica, this is my sister." Raiden slowly glanced up at the man once more. Putting his name to his face, and remembering the fight that he had gotten in during the game.

"It's uh. Nice to meet you." Raiden did her best to offer a small smile to the giant of a man. "You uh, played really well out there." This Mica guy probably thought that she was a complete idiot. Stumbling over her words like a little pre-teen or something. How embarrassing!

"Hey, it is nice to finally meet you," Mica told her, a friendly grin appearing over his face as he spoke. "I have been telling Zeke to bring his family to the games, so it is nice to see that he finally brought you along. And it was a good one too so you were lucky." A warm chuckle left his lips at the thought. It actually was a good game. Both sides were fighting hard to win and it was close. Plus, Mica actually got to get in a fight which is always fun for the fans.

"Thank you," The man said in response when Raiden complimented his gameplay. He glanced between Zeke and Raiden for a moment, unsure what to say but he was quick to continue on. "I heard that you moved here and are now living with Zeke. How are you liking the city so far?" Although he loved hockey, Mica didn't want to assume that everyone wanted to talk about it...Besides, he got enough hockey talk at work that he didn't enjoy dwelling on it too much when it was his off time.

His eyes then shifted to Zeke. "Have you shown her around at all? If you haven't yet, you should bring her to the three fountains in Greenview park. You know, kinda by that street of boutique shop by Harry's." He then looked back to Raiden. "It's really popular here as it's a really pretty area. Plus, people love walking around there when it's nice outside."

"Anways, are you two going to do anything fun tonight or just planning on hitting the hay after the game?" He was just doing his best to be friendly. In truth, Mica was curious about Zeke's family and he thought it would be nice to be welcoming to the woman that was both new in town and hadn't met the team or been a part of the little inner circle that the families like to make. There were some members who came to almost every game and hung out in the family section.

Slowly, Raiden pursed her lips together at the mention of just moving here. She hated that reminder, she didn't need to be constantly reminded that she was new. She knew that she was, so people didn't need to keep throwing it into her face. "It's fine." Was all Raiden said, her little shoulder shrugged in response. Not really sure what else you were supposed to say to people when they ask how it was in a new place. After all, wasn't it quite rude to tell people that she hated it and wanted to go home?

When Mica brought up some mountain place in a park, Raiden's eyes lit up. Nature was Raiden's calling. She remembered always climbing trees to exploring the woods with Zeke when she was younger. "No, I haven't gotten the chance to yet. Asher has me by the balls with appearances and charity events lately." Zeke explained, then rolled his eyes at the mention of his manager. The man was good, making sure that he got paid, but Zeke liked to have some downtime sometimes.

Standing by the pillar, Raiden got this sinking feeling that something was going to happen. The glint in Zeke's eyes at the mention of doing something fun caught in his eye. That look always meant trouble, and Raiden knew it all too well. "We were just going to head back to the house, Raiden's still getting used to the time change. right, Rai?" Zeke glanced towards Raiden, who merely nodded her head. "You're more than welcome to come over for some beer though." Zeke offered his friend and grinned as he looked between the two.

The idea of having this giant in Zeke's home terrified her. Seeing Zeke in the halls of the huge house already blew her mind. She couldn't remember the last time she had seen her brother, but she never remembered him being so big and tall. It really freaked her out the first couple of times. So, adding in Mica? That was bound to blow her mind.

"It is that season, isn't it?" Mica responded to Zeke. It was true. All of the players had been busy with special appearances on this and that, as well as trying to keep up with charity events as well. They were all busy during the season when eyes were on them the most. And it wasn't likely to calm down until the end of it...well, unless they won, of course. At which point they were going to be crazy busy throughout the year and into the next season.

Though as he saw how excited Raiden was about seeing the park, Mica almost wanted to offer to bring her for Zeke, even though his own schedule was on the fritz. Though, Mica kept his mouth closed about the offer. After all, he didn't know this woman at all and with the way that Zeke was about his family, it seemed like a bad idea... "Once you get a chance, you should really go see it." Mica told Raiden.

At the mention of having some beers at Zeke's place, Mica nodded. "Yeah, that would be great." He said. He liked unwinding after the game and Zeke was a close friend. Besides, Mica was curious about Rai and this might be the only chance that he got to really get to know the girl. Mica glanced over Rai's face for a moment. And it seemed that she didn't mind him coming over so it was a done deal!

"I'll meet you there. I just need to pick something up." Mica said as he pulled the keys of his car out of his pocket. He didn't really need to go get anything but Mica knew better than to show up at someone's house right with them when their family was there. Hell, maybe Rai needed some time before he came over.

The drive back to Zeke's house was quiet. Not really awkward, more of a, we're just trying to wrap our heads around the change quiet. No pressure, no anxiety. All of that, Raiden was thankful for. The last thing she needed at the moment was to talk about how much anxiety she was feeling about this whole thing. New country, new house, her brother's back in her life. She was allowed to really start her life. It was all so new, all so freaking exciting.

Pulling up to Zeke's rather large house, Raiden couldn't help the sigh that escaped from her lips. It blew her away each time she saw it. Sure, she's living there, but coming from a small trailer park setting to this? It was a huge change for Rai, and she wasn't really sure if she could ever really get used to the idea. Hell, she didn't even know how to properly thank Zeke for buying her a cellphone.

When they got into the house, Raiden went straight into her room to change into her PJ's. There was no need to stay in her skinny jeans and blouse. Mica was Zeke's friend, so she didn't need to impress the man. Right? So, once she was changed, Raiden walked out of her room and headed down to the living toom. She curled up on the little corner of the wrap around, and played on her phone as Zeke pulled out a case of beer from the garage where he kept it.

Then, almost as soon as Zeke set the beer's on the kitchen island, there was a knock on the door. Raiden watched Zeke with her eyes as he went to open the door. Then, she quickly looked down as she heard Mica's voice. He wasn't there to see her, he was there to drink with Zeke and unwind after their game. That's all, she didn't need to pay him any attention. Right?

Before stopping by the house, Mica had decided to pick up two pizzas for the three of them. Mica usually got pretty hungry after the game and he didn't know Zeke to turn down food. He also hoped that a pepperoni pizza would be satisfactory to Rai as well, even though he didn't know what she ate. Even if she didn't like that, they also had a supreme pizza. And if that didn't work, then Mica knew that Zeke and him would eat both of them by themselves.

As he headed into the house and made his way towards the living room, Mica set the two pizzas down onto the coffee table in the middle. "I bought pizza if you want any." Mica told Rai, glancing over at her for a moment. He then headed over and grabbed himself a beer and a plate before making his way back to the living room and grabbing three slices of pizza for himself.

Now settled with everything that he needed, Mica plopped down on the couch and relaxed against the cushions as he took a bite and then had a drink. This was a great way to unwind after a game. He got to fill his belly up with good things and not have to move a muscle. Plus, by the time he would leave, Mica would be ready to head off to bed without having to worry if he could even get up for practice... Although, Mica did quite enjoy those heavy drinking and party nights as well.

After quietly eating his first slice of pizza, Mica's eyes shifted over to Rai. She looked so lonely, curled up on the couch, looking at her phone. It would probably be nice of him to talk to her, right? She probably just wanted to be included. So, Mica sat up a bit and looked to Rai. "So, what do you do for work?" Mica asked her curiously. "Or are you a college student?" She seemed to be about that age.

A simple, 'thank you' escaped from Raiden's lips as she looked up towards Mica as he brought in pizza's and set them on the coffee table. Back home, Rai could almost hear her mom yelling about having things on the coffee table. Here, with Zeke though. With anyone else, it was like a completely different ball game. She's never eaten in the living room before she moved in with Zeke.

Setting her phone down onto the end of the couch, Raiden reached over and looked at what sort of pizza's Mica had brought for them. She used her good hand and grabbed a slice of pepperoni before curling back up in her spot on the corner. Raiden would have been more than happy to just eat in silence, but it seemed like this Mica guy had other ideas in mind. So, her bright green eyes raised and looked at the tall defenseman as he spoke to her.

"I used to waitress before I moved here," Raiden said quietly, then shrugged her shoulders as she looked down at her half slice of pizza. "I haven't really thought about school yet. Zeke says that it'd be best for me if I want to branch out." Raiden shrugged her shoulders at the last thing that she said and then took another bite. Hoping that her indifferent tone told Mica that she was done talking to him for now. It already sucked that she was in a totally different country now, so adding that she was pretty much a loser without a job or degree just added icing to the cake for her.

Mica's head turned slightly to the left as he looked over at Raiden. She seemed so sad... It probably had to do with the branching out thing, right? After all, Rai was now in a new country and she didn't have any friends here yet. At least, Mica didn't think so. So the only person that she really knew was her brother. Though Mica wanted her to feel welcomed and he felt confident that Raiden would appreciate the company.

"School is fantastic. I went to college before I was recruited by the league. It's such a great time to explore and you'll meet so many new people. Most people are friendly as they are just trying to meet new people as well. Oh, and if you like to party at all, you'll have a really good time." Mica told her before he took another bite of his pizza. The man then continued on.

"Actually, I think one of the guys on the team went to the University that is in this city...hm....Yeah, Redling University. Yeah! That is what it is called. I think he had a really good time there but you should check it out. I heard that it's actually really good. And you don't even need to figure out what you really want to do the first year or two either since you'll mostly just be working on your electives anyways."

The smile that was on Mica's face grew larger and larger the more he spoke. He then turned to Zeke. "You should bring her to the dinner this week. I bet Freddie would be happy to tell her about Redling if she is interested."

The fact that Mica just kept running his mouth blew Raiden's mind. She didn't know anyone could talk so much. Much less being clueless to the fact that she wasn't even looking at him as he spoke. Although, when he did bring up dinner this week, her bright green eyes looked up in confusion.

"Hm?" Zeke mumbled, looking up from his phone. A confused look on his face obviously wasn't listening in the least bit. "Sorry, I was looking at my fan page. You want something?" Zeke asked, glancing between Rai and his friend in confusion. A small sigh escaped from Raiden as she rolled her eyes and looked away from the boys. Her gaze back on the pizza slice in her hand as she finished eating. She hoped tonight would end soon, she wasn't sure how much longer she'd be able to handle Mica's constant chatter.

Mica gave Zeke a bit of a look when the other man admitted that he wasn't listening to the conversation. He was even a bit more disappointed when it was because Zeke was looking at his fan page. "You should bring your sister to dinner this week," Mica repeated to him, giving the man a look to encourage him to do it. "I am willing to bet that Freddie would be happy to tell her about Redling University. In the chance that she is interested in going to college."

The man then looked back to Rai with a smile on his face. "You would want to come, right? It will be a lot of fun and the whole team will be there so you can meet everyone. I promise that they are friendly." Mica then looked back at Zeke, waiting to see what he would say.

As Mica brought up what was going on, a look of understanding appeared on Zeke's face. He looked towards his younger sister for a couple of moments before looking towards Mica. then back once more. His lips pursed into a thin line. "Yeah, sure." Was all Zeke said, then looked back down at his phone. Dismissing everything else that was going on around him. Too interested in seeing what girls were saying about him then bringing his sister to dinner with the team later this week.

"Do you always have dinner together?" Raiden asked as she looked from Mica towards her brother. A little bit of confusion on her face. She didn't know much about sports, but hearing that the team had weekly dinners together was strange to her.

After having finished her pizza slice, Raiden slowly stood up from the couch and took the empty places. Bringing them to the kitchen, She set them in the sink and started to fill it with hot water to let the plates soak, doing her best to keep her wrapped wrist dry.

Although Zeke was not as enthused about the idea as Mica would have hoped, he moved forward anyway. At least he got what he wanted. So he would leave the man alone to stroke his ego as his fans fawned over him. Although there was some appeal to looking at all of the comments, Mica didn't allow himself to get so sucked into it that he ignored the other people around him. all he could do was shake his head.

The man turned back to Raiden, deciding to just put all of his attention on her. "Trust me, you are going to have fun. All the guys are fun and people bring their families along as well so you'll meet a lot of people." He told her before continuing on. "And we don't always have dinner together..... Well, that is not quite true. But we do this about once a month but especially during the season. Just a nice thing to do so that we have some time off of the ice with everyone."

Mica started to rub the back of his neck as he looked her over. He didn't really know what else to say at this point. "But, yeah, it would be nice to see you there."

After cleaning the dishes, Raiden's thoughts had settled and she pursed her lips. She really didn't like being in-crowd. Especially when everyone already knew each other, making her a shiny new toy to talk to and about. Attention, eyes on her. Watching her every freaking move. It wasn't something that she liked, but Mica seemed really interested in having her come along and while her brother didn't seem to care. She saw that flicker in his eyes. He wanted her to come along.

Walking back into the living room slowly. Raiden crossed her arms loosely over her stomach as she looked at Mica and then towards Zeke. "Alright, I'll come." She murmured, which earned a small glance from her brother before he looked back towards his phone. "Um." Raiden murmured quietly. " I won't be imposing or anything. Will I? It's your guy's tradition." She let the words hang, still uneasy even though she was just told that the other players brought their families along to this thing.

"No, of course not!" Mica reassured her. "Everyone will be happy to have you there. And it's meant to bring everyone together and that certainly includes you." Mica smiled at her widely as he started to slide off the couch. It was beginning to feel like a good idea to head out before Raiden could overthink it and change her mind. "But, yeah, I'll tell them that you are coming and we'll all be happy to see you there."

The man then started to pick his items up as he zipped up his sweater. He looked to Zeke for a moment. "I'll see you at practice tomorrow." He said as he grabbed his keys. "It was really nice meeting you Raiden, I'll see you at the dinner!" He then started to head out of the door. "Bye!" Mica then headed out quickly.

Mica was a tall and rugged-looking guy. One glance at him and Raiden instantly thought of him as a scary guy. Except, he wasn't in the least bit. In fact, he seemed more clueless and harmless than anything. He talked a lot, and while that usually made Rai feel uncomfortable, she actually didn't really mind his openness. Especially when it was left to just her and her brother. Who was ignoring her? "I'm going to bed." Raiden murmured, and turned to leave without looking at her brother, not that he's paying her any attention in the first place. He was to interested in fan reactions at the moment.

    --

When it was the day of the dinner, Raiden couldn't help but feel extremely nervous. She's met some of the other players, but none of them seemed to really make her feel at ease around them. All of them were nice sure, but they were also built like Greek gods and when she'd watch their practices, she really saw how all out they could go.

So, when she walked into the restaurant that the dinner was being held at. The nerves rightened and strangled her stomach. She didn't know what to do. Her converse clad feet, skinny jeans, and plain grey shirt made her feel like she was underdressed around these people. Even though everyone was dressed in normal clothes. "Hey, Zeke! You finally made it." A dark-haired guy said from the table, his arm around a blonde woman. "Sup, Jake!" Zeke said as he left Rai's side, leaving her alone at the front of the restaurant.

Mica was already at the gathering. He had decided to wear a nice dark blue button-down shirt and a pair of jeans. Something nice but nothing too over the top. Though as he was talking to one of the players and his wife, he noticed Raiden had shown up. A grin came over his face, glad to see that she had actually come. That was something that Mica had thought might not happen even though he had tried his best to ensure that she would come...well he was glad to see that his plan had worked.

Though as he looked over at her better, Mica noted that she was now by herself. Turning to the people he was talking to, Mica said goodbye before heading over to Rai. It was too hard for him to see her standing off by herself. He could understand that it was hard to join a group when you didn't know anyone.

"Rai!" Mica said excitedly as he made his way over to her. "You made it!"
