Elijah DevereuxElijah shrugged his shoulders as his piercing eyes stayed on the road in front of him, “Late 80’s”, He spoke as he knew it was before Nadia been born, as her scent wasn’t in the wreck of what used to be a car nor was her intoxicating scent on her parents. Turning a few more corners before the trees grew more dense as he drove along the winding driveway, “When I came across your parents, I had been younger, you could say.” He had already been a vampire for many years and has seen many different periods of time, so he did consider himself to be ‘younger’ when he came across the human couple who needed his help.
“I honestly hadn’t thought it though, like I said I was younger than…” Maybe he thought he could use the human as a personal blood bank or a maid, but he had a maid and he could drink blood from a woman at a snap of his fingers. Women flocked to him, both human and vampire so he really didn’t need to have a human bride.
“Here we are,” Elijah grinned as he drove into the garage, the door rolling down behind them. Climbing out of his car, he moved swiftly around and held the passenger side door open for the beautiful brunette. He watched her. The way she moved, her eyes taking everything in that was around her, the fruitiness of her shampoo which lingered on her dark locks. “Did you want me to show you the house or would you rather lock yourself away in your new room?” He smirked as he let his eyes roam over her perfect body, curves in all the right places for him. He could already imagine how it would feel to run his hands over her curves, to feel her warm soft skin under his cold fingers.
Thea DufortIt took everything inside of Thea not to glare at Ezra when he laughed, she didn’t want to act like a bratty child who wasn’t getting their way. She watched as he tossed a velvet box over to her, which she easily caught without a problem. Was she disappointed that he hadn’t gotten down on one knee? She didn’t know. Of course, she wanted her future husband to be on one knee when he proposed to her. But she didn’t want it to be Ezra, yet it still felt like there was a part missing. “Upstairs, second door on the left.” She told him where the spare bedroom was, it wasn’t anything fancy, but it would have what he would need.
Looking down at the
ring, Thea knew it had been passed down through the Van Doren family. It’s what happened when there was a marriage involving a large and old vampire family. The ring took her breath away, it was absolutely stunning even if it came from a man she didn’t want to have in her life. There was nothing she could do now, this marriage was happening and that was the end of it. A soft sigh passed her lips as she watched him make his way upstairs.
As awkward as it felt to have Ezra there in her home, she didn’t want it to continue to feel like that. She didn’t want to live the rest of her abnormally long life feeling uncomfortable with her husband, it would take some time but she wanted to give it a go and she hoped that Ezra would too. “My room is at the end of the hallway, let me know if you need anything.” She looked over to him, she could definitely do better than Ezra but she could also do a lot worse then him.
