Daisy had believed her luck had completely run out and there was no way things could get worse from here. Barely a month into the new hell they found themselves in, her alpha and her only source of protection, had been bitten and in a final act to keep her safe, he had killed himself. She had begged and pleaded for him to stay, that there was a small chance he wouldn't become infected, but he hadn't listened. He had been too worried he'd lose his mind and couldn't cope with even the thought of hurting Daisy.

He had left her all alone and now, weeks after his death, she found a new alpha had encroached on their home, on her home. She pressed her back into one of the large oak trees that was planted on the edge of her property line. Her bond mark was still proudly displayed on her neck, showing little sign of fading so far. The plaid shirt she wore wrapped around her waist still smelled like her alpha and she dreaded the day that it would start to disappear.

She could smell the alpha who had infiltrated her home as if he had been walking the perimeter of her land daily. Daisy had been gone for a few days, her backpack she wore off her left shoulder heavy with all of the supplies she had found. Letting it drop to her feet, she sunk to the ground, tears pooling in her eyes. This was her home, but how was she supposed to fight for it? How could she make an alpha leave?

Syverson had always known this was something that was coming. He had known that one day the undead would rise and it would be a war unlike anyone had ever seen. Syverson was well versed in warfare and he handled it well enough but still, it was admittedly nerve-wracking when he shot a walker who just kept coming at him despite how many times he had shot the bastard. Syverson had learned early on that headshots really were the only way to put them down. Or anything to the head.

Trying to put as much distance between himself and the rest of humanity, Syverson had prepared for all but being exiled. He'd raided a nearby store for several packs of seeds, an afterthought if he ever found somewhere that he could settle down in. Syverson had picked out a new Bowie knife from yet another store nearby.

It had been several days of walking before Syverson stumbled upon Daisy's cabin. He'd scouted it for an entire day before deciding it had to be safe, no one appeared to be coming or going so he claimed the cabin for himself. At least for now. Syverson had shouldered his way inside before settled in, his bag in the corner of the living room.

Never having been a man that liked to lay around, Syverson found himself out in the front yard a few days later, pulling out weeds and trying to prepare to plant some of the seeds he'd brought with him. Syverson had no clue how long he would be here but he wanted to prepare for as long as he could. Syverson had been so focused n the task at hand that he didn't notice the scent that had hit him at first. Lifting his head as the scent soured, Syverson's face scrunched. There was an omega nearby. A distressed omega at that.

Syverson turned around, shoving the pistol into his hip holster before he started for the woods. "Omega?" Syverson's voice carried at he shouted, his brows pulling together. "Show yourself. Don't make me find you." He continued toward where he thought the scent was coming from, wanting to get to her before she could run and alert someone to his presence here. That was the only logical situation to him.

Daisy was pulled from her thoughts when she realized she had caught the alphas attention. No... She listened to him call out for her, her title rolling off of his tongue like he already owned her. Her hand fell down to the pistol she kept on her hip, the weapon she had only ever used on the dead. She could hear her alphas voice in her head, reminding her that she always needed to be absolutely positive she was sure on pulling the trigger before she ever aimed.

"...don't make me find you..." His voice carried through the woods, causing her heart to sink to her stomach. Pulling herself back up to her feet, she slowly unholstered her gun, keeping it pointed down as she slowly stepped out from behind the tree. Her heart was pounding, and she found it odd that she was far more fearful of a strange alpha than any undead.

She heard his footsteps, crunching over dried grass and soon, she had her eyes locked on him. He wore cargo shorts and a dirty red t-shirt and a billed hat that was keeping the sun from his eyes. The man looked sweaty, as if he had just been working hard at something and even feet away from her, he looked so large. Daisy did her best trying to appear more brave than she actually was, hoping her bond mark would deter him from trying anything. She could lie, say her alpha would be home soon... Maybe that would make him leave?

"This.. this is my home. What're you doing here?"

Syverson's brows shot up to his hairline when he realized Daisy had a gun pointed at him. He wasn't the least bit concerned at the threat. It wasn't the first time that he'd had a gun pointed at him and it likely wouldn't even be the last time either. He couldn't help but smirk, his head tilting to the side as he held his arms out to the side, as if he was surrendering to her. "I staked this cabin out for days, omega. Not a soul came or went. It's mine now," he answered plainly, giving an onesided shrug of his shoulders. Daisy could yell at him, she could threaten him, and demand for the home to be returned to her but the cabin was his, as far as he was concerned.

"If that claim still mattered, you wouldn't be out alone," Syverson stated, having no real clue where her alpha was. He also didn't care one bit, only focused on wondering whether she would stay here. It was clear as day to him that her alpha was no longer around. He had likely met an awful end, one that Syverson had no intention of meeting himself.

"Now I know you're probably scared and you want to know what that means for you," Syverson said, his head cocking to the side. It wasn't the first time that Sy had met a scared omega. He could practically smell it on her. "You're more than welcome to stay here, if you want. There's more than enough space here," he added, shrugging again as he glanced around. "I'm planting seeds, there's gonna be plenty of food around so you don't have to worry about that either. You'll be fed, safe here..." he trailed off, studying her intently.

Daisy couldn't tell if she was more shocked or confused. Of all the things to happen to her in the apocalypse, she hadn't even considered her home would be stolen from her. She looked towards her cabin, thinking of all of her things, all of her alphas things and this man had just been... living in there. "Thanks for the permission to stay in my own fucking home," she completely lowered the gun, tucking it away back on her hip as she stormed by him, wanting to do her best to just ignore him.

She didn't feel right shooting a man that didn't directly seem to be a threat, and she knew she couldn't just overpower him, nor did she think he'd just listen to her if she asked him to leave. It had been days since she could get home because while she was out in town picking over the grocery stores and gas stations, she had ran into a bit of trouble with a few zombies that ultimately had her locked up in the gas station for a day or two. A random car driving through town had been trailed by about thirty or so zombies and she had waited them out while they had passed by.

Daisy doubted if she had been home when this man found her cabin that he would've just kept walking. Something told her that he still would've staked claim to her land regardless, because he was an alpha and she was just a lonely omega. She could smell the stranger all through her home and it twisted her stomach. Tossing open the door to her bedroom, she felt tears burn her eyes, seeing that he had most definitely been sleeping in their bed. Daisy hurried over to the blankets, picking one of them up to see if she could still smell her alpha,... And she couldn't. Only the stranger. Turning so she could drop down onto the bed, Daisy whimpered, feeling completely violated.

Syverson let out a dry laugh when Daisy responded to him. The tension he carried in his shoulders all but melted away because the threat was gone. He had no need to be afraid now. Syverson cleared his throat as he turned to follow her back toward the house. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Syverson's head tilted to the side as he stepped into the cabin. Wordlessly, he kicked off his shoes before starting to walk toward the room that was quite clearly the main bedroom of the house. For the briefest of moments, Syverson let himself feel bad, that he had likely destroyed the only nest that Daisy had left with her former alpha's scent in it.

He leaned against the doorway, his brows pulled together as he studied her. Syverson wanted to reach out and to comfort her because it was clear that she was distraught but he felt like that was the step too far. Syverson didn't even know her name, to assume he could comfort her simply because he was an alpha felt wrong.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry, omega. I don't know what happened and I can't pretend to know what you're going through but... if I had known, I wouldn't have bothered your bed," Syverson declared. His voice was surprisingly gentle despite his appearance. His brows pulled together as he studied her. "If there's anything I can help with, let me know. I'll be outside working on the garden," he added. Syverson gave her one last glance before he turned to do just as he had said.

Daisy ignored him, turning her back to him as she tried to wipe away the tears frantically, not wanting him to see her like that. Screwing her eyes shut, she balled her fists up in the blankets by her side, listening for his footsteps when he finally left the room. She felt angry enough that she could vomit, the tears finally pouring down her face. This was her home, where she had lived with her partner, her alpha and now he was gone and this new monster thought he could just take what was hers. What was his. And there was nothing she could do about it.

Rising to her feet, she moved away from the bed, wanting to get as far away from the strangers scent as possible. In the corner of the room, there was a little nesting area by the window. One her alpha had made sure to fix up for her when they first moved in. Daisy grabbed extra blankets from the living room. They didn't smell like her alpha, but they also didn't smell the man invading her home. She knew if he did stay, eventually his scent would permeate every inch of her home, completely ridding her of whatever was left of her alpha and she would have to be okay with that.

Sinking down onto the little bed, Daisy pushed the blankets around and curled up in her newly made nest. Out the window, she could see nothing but the woods, and to the left, she could spot the little garden the man had been working on. Unable to hide the emotions on her face, Daisy pulled the blanket up and just ducked down into her nest, hiding away from the world until she would feel better.
Hours passed and when the sun was beginning to hide below the horizon, Daisy pushed herself up from her little bed, still feeling as bad as the moment she had laid down. She made sure to tuck her pistol away in a safe hiding space by her nest, afraid the new alpha would try and take it from her. Daisy felt like a prisoner in her own home, even as she tiptoed out of the bedroom.

Her hand ran up her shoulder, over her neck where she could feel her bite, heading straight into the kitchen when she heard the front door. He must've been finished outside. Daisy kept her head down, opening the fridge to see the man must've been rummaging through her fridge. It wasn't a surprise, but it upset her to see her alphas beers almost gone. Grabbing some of the iced tea she had made before leaving on her little hunt, she turned to pour herself a glass, unable to stop herself from paying attention to every step the man took, every movement he made. She was terrified of him and wanted to know where he was at every second.

Syverson opted to plant more of the seeds since Daisy had joined him. It was something that made him mildly uncomfortable because he didn't know how many of the seeds would take and if they did have to leave this cabin, they would be screwed. THey needed something that would help them survive, even away from here. Syverson wouldn't bring it up with Daisy but now that he realized her alpha was no longer with them, he would have to care for her. His instincts wouldn't allow him to do anything else. Why would he abandon her if she needed his help? Syverson was a capable alpha, he knew that. He wasn't cocky but he knew damn well what he was capable of.

By the time Syverson was satisfied with his work, the sun was starting to set beneath the horizon. Syverson was exhausted, ready to sleep for the evening but he was uneasy. Now that Daisy was here, Syverson didn't know if he could trust her. She had pointed a gun at him once, there was no saying what she would or wouldn't do now that she realized he had taken over her home. That her alpha's scent was hard to find, after only a few short days of Syverson having claimed the cabin as his own.

Stepping into the cabin, Syverson groaned as he rolled his neck. He was nothing short of exhausted. Straightening up, Syverson's eyes narrowed when he caught sight of Daisy stepping out of her room. His gaze followed her, his entire body tense as he watched her move through the house, toward the kitchen.

When he realized all Daisy was doing was grabbing herself a drink, Syverson relaxed a bit. "Are you hungry?" Syverson's voice cut through the silence that had settled. He saw no point in pretending Daisy didn't exist. She was plainly here and he had never been known to be a shy person.

"I have some canned goods. Set them in the cabinet already so you can look for something, if you want... I'll start putting up traps tomorrow. Hopefully be able to catch something a bit more filling for dinner tomorrow," Syverson muttered as he closed the distance between them. Syverson reached inside, pulling out one her alpha's beers. He popped the lid on it. "Won't be anything fancy like a chicken. Probably a rabbit... maybe a squirrel or two. Have you ever had either?"

Daisy braced herself against the counter, her whole body stiffening when Sy stepped foot into the kitchen. She had hoped taking a nap would've helped her to calm down and come to terms with the situation she found herself in, but hearing the man speak boiled her blood. Just because she was an omega, and he was some big bad alpha, he thought he could just take her things? And then to have the nerve to pretend like he was offering her hospitality...

"No, I'm not hungry." Daisy sighed, her jaw clenching as she answered him. A shiver ran down her back when he cracked open the beer can. How would this ever work? How could this be her new normal? Daisy grabbed her drink and moved to leave the kitchen, worrying about when this alpha would stop playing so nice. It would be ignorant for her to believe he'd just coexist with her without eventually wanting more. How long had he been alone so far? She stopped in the doorway when he kept speaking. Tightening her grip on her glass, she turned back to face him.

"I haven't had squirrel, no." Daisy quietly stepped over to the small table in the kitchen, sinking down into one of the seats. If this man became a threat to her, would she be able to fight him off with her gun? If she could prove that she could pull the trigger, would that scare him enough to leave?

"Do you like rabbit then? I can try to catch 'em. No promises though," Syverson added with a halfhearted shrug. If he knew that Daisy liked rabbit and would eat it without complaint, he would honestly do his best to bring it home to her. He knew that this world was hard to adjust to for most people. The only reason that Syverson felt so at home was because he had been in the military for so long. It was what he knew, it was all of his adult life. Though it had helped I'm to know that this sort of thing was coming. There was no escaping the undead but at least it hadn't been a surprise to him.

Leaning against the counter, Syverson frowned as he watched the young omega sit at the table. He couldn't help but wonder how he would feel if he had been in her shoes. How would he feel if he had lost his omega to the undead? How would he have felt, having. to put her down? It was hard for him to imagine because he had never been that close to an omega before but his instincts told him all that he needed to know. It wouldn't have been enjoyable.

"I'll take the couch. Since you're home," Syverson added, glancing toward the kitchen doorway. "Try not to step on your toes too much," he said, with a heavy sigh as he pushed off of the counter. "I'm going to take a shower. Yell if you need anything. Or.. if people come knocking," he added as an afterthought. No one would harm Daisy if he had a say in it, the thought alone enough to stir his inner protective side.

Daisy let her eyes fall back to the table in front of her, her fingers gently running over the smooth surface of her glass. This man was being sort of kind, going out of his way to assure her he planned to take care of her to, so it seemed and she wondered if he had been placed in her path on purpose. To protect her since she had lost her alpha. That was a hard pill to swallow right now, just the idea of another man replacing her alpha. What would her alpha say if he was here now, to tell her what to do? He wouldn't want her to be alone, especially not on this setting. She knew that.

She waited until the stranger and vanished from the room, before she got back to her feet and scurried back to her bedroom. She was so relieved when he told her he wouldn't take her bed, that he'd sleep on the couch, even if she had no intention of sleeping their herself. His smell was still imbedded in every inch of fabric that dressed her bed and she wasnt in the mood to do the laundry, or potentially insult him by doing so. So, instead, Daisy turned back to her nest once more and curled up against the window.
"Oh god, no." Daisy groaned as she woke up the next morning, a splitting, aching pain rocking through her lower back. She could feel the slick that had collected between her thighs, and a thin layer of sweat was already forming over inch of her skin. Kicking the blankets off of her, she tried to stretch out and get more comfortable in her nest, not entirely aware of the danger she found herself in. Her hands shot to her sides, massaging her hips where the cramping was hurting the worst. Another painful groan left her lips as she rolled over, curling herself up tightly in a ball.

Instantly her eyes shot open, remembering she was not alone. Her alpha wasn't anywhere near her, he wouldn't be cuddling up against her and offering her back rubs and cool drinks while her heat passed. But she still wasn't alone. Forcing herself to her feet proved more difficult than she imagined, tears burning her eyes from the way the muscles in her back tensed and ached when she moved. Daisy made it over to the door and closed it completely, turning the lock before she hobbled back over to her heat. Hopefully he would just leave her alone, not try to cross any boundaries... She knew her scent would alert him to what was happening, he seemed to be a very capable alpha, she knew there would be no hiding from him. Crawling back into her nest, she wrapped the blankets around her trembling body and tried to relax.

Syverson would be lying if he tried to say he was shocked to discover Daisy had retreated back to her room by the time he finished his shower. Grabbing a blanket from the hall closet, Syverson settled down on the couch in the living just like he had said he would. He stayed up pretty late, after making sure the front door was secured and his gun rested beneath the cushion his upper half was on. He was ready to launch at the door if anyone came knocking, whether it was dead or alive. It wasn't only him that he had to protect now, but also an omega who had no alpha to turn to. Syverson would not let anything happen to her. He was just wondering if she would believe that. If she would ever grow to believe him when he said he would protect her at all costs.

Having half expected an intruder to be the reason he woke in t he morning, Syverson was more than surprised. His eyes flew open and his shoulders tensed as the scent filled his senses. He was on his feet before he even realized what was going on, rushing toward the bedroom. Syverson tested the door handle, a scowl settling on his features when he realized that Daisy had locked the door. He knew the consequences of an omega going without during heat. There was every chance that Daisy could die and he wasn't going to let that happen. Plain and simple.

Syverson squared his shoulders as his back straightened, his hands balling into tight fists at his sides. "Omega, open this door. Right now," he called, his voice dipping. It betrayed just how unnerved he was by her scent, it overwhelmed him and was causing him not to think straight. The worst part was he knew that, even if he couldn't do anything about it. "Now, omega!" His voice was louder this time, daring her to go against him.

Daisy was able to lay in her nest for an hour or so more before Syverson woke. She felt no peace though, terrified for when he would wake up and no doubt try to come barging through the door. Daisy didn't want to be touched by him, to be taken care of by him. It felt like such a betrayal, one she didn't even want to think about it. She jerked completely awake, though she was still dazed as she turned her body to watch the handle on the door wiggle.

"Fuck..." She whispered under her breath, on top of her temperature rising and the aching cramps, she now felt nauseous. Deep down, she knew the lock on the door wouldn't hold up for much, but it had stopped him from running straight into the room, denying her of any privacy. The second the door knob stopped moving, the strangers voice bellowed through the door, lowering to almost a growl. Something she almost couldn't refuse. "I-I don't want to," she sobbed, instantly feeling like it was a losing battle. Because it was.

    Now, Omega!

Daisy felt so weak, completely delirious as she tried to push herself up in her nest. What would be better? Opening the door for him and getting it over with, what she was sure was inevitable, or waiting him out and seeing how long it would take to break the door down? If he did that, she was sure he wouldn't fix it and then she'd be left with absolutely no privacy.

Dragging herself up, she bundled one of the blankets around her naked body. Every inch of her skin was burning hot to the touch, her clothes had been the first thing she stripped from herself. Swallowing hard as she moved towards the door, Daisy hesitantly unlocked the door and cracked it open. His scent was so heavy, filling her nose and making her feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, but she refused to look up at him.

She had opened the door like he had asked, but she still didn't want him inside. Trying to keep the door mostly closed, she gently rested against the doorframe. "I-I don't want you in here," Daisy tried to sound demanding, as if she wouldn't budge and let him through. As if she was capable of that.

Syverson would have never caught himself in this situation to begin with if the undead had never come back to life. He would have never put himself outside a mourning omega's room while she went into heat. He bit back a sigh, leaning his forehead against his arm that rested against the doorway. He heard her sob and some part of him hated the way his cock throbbed. Daisy was in pain and struggling, he knew damn well he was the only alpha available to answer to her needs. It was either him or she met her former alpha sooner rather than later.

The moment that Daisy pulled the door open, Syverson jammed his foot in the small crack of space. He was relieved that he hadn't taken his shoes off before falling asleep the night before. Syverson's face softened at her confession and he gave a stiff nod of his head. "I know you don't, omega. But the way I see it.. you got two options. You either let me in or you die. You meet your alpha earlier," he added, his head tilting to the side.

Syverson set his hand on the door and started to push it open, shouldering his way into the space so that it came clear to Daisy that she wasn't really getting an option here. He wasn't going to let her die just because she was sad and she felt like she was betraying someone who was dead. Who was never coming back to be with her.

"Would your alpha want you to die?" Syverson knew damn well that he was manipulating her but he didn't care one bit. "Because that's what's going to happen if you don't let me in. And I don't know about your alpha but I do know about me. I know what isn't going to happen. You dying, under my watch simply isn't going to fuckin' happen." Syverson pushed the door all the way open, doing a quick survey of the room before his gaze returned to Daisy

"This doesn't have to be rough. But you're goin' to have to pick where you want this to happen before it gets worse," Syverson's voice cut through her fog, his head inclined toward the bed. He'd noticed her nest and he was sure she wouldn't want him there so he was going with the obvious choice.

Daisy thought she felt true fear when Syverson kicked his foot in to the open space, but it was obvious she didn't know what that really was just yet, because the moment he began shouldering his way in, the feeling only got worse. Her whole body jolted as she stepped backwards quickly, almost stumbling over her own feet. More tears burned her eyes when he started speaking of her alpha and she couldn't help but ball her hands into fists at her sides, feeling infuriated.

"Shut up!" She yelled at him, hating the tone of voice he was taking with her. Speaking with such a low voice and cursing at her, talking at her like he already had some sort of claim on her. Her skin crawled when he demanded she choose where it would happen. "It's not happening!" Daisy tried to demand, but her voice came out more as a shaky whine. Her instinct might've been telling her to give in to him, just the look of him forcing his way into her room had even more slick pooling in her underwear, but she just couldn't. Her alpha aside, she knew nothing about this man, not even his name.

"Do..do not touch me," Daisy whimpered, stumbling back towards her nest when he forced the door all the way open. Daisy stumbled back into her nest and crawled back onto the mattress, as far as she could until her back hit the window. The cool glass was a slight relief to her rising temperature. Her eyes glossed over as she looked up at the alpha, feeling her heart pounding in her throat. "I-I don't know you, d-don't even know your name."

Syverson's brows shot up to his hairline when Daisy started to yell at him. He would have laughed in her face if he hadn't been so angered by her reaction. When she continued on her stance that nothing was going to happen between them, Syverson simply shook his head. "Omega, this isn't a choice you get to make. I know it's awful and I'm sorry about that part but I'm not going to let you die because you're upset about your alpha," he added in a low voice.

Watching as Daisy all but ran for the safety of her nest, Syverson's shoulders sagged. Nests were sacred and even now, Syverson felt wrong just shoving his way into her nest. He swallowed thickly as he pushed the door shut, flicking the lock into place. "In case anyone comes knocking," he spoke lowly, wanting Daisy to understand he wasn't intending to lock her in a prison.

"Henry," Syverson answered in a low voice. "Syverson. Most people call me Sy. Or I guess, most people did call me that," Syverson added with a low laugh. He moved over to the bed and was quick to drop down on the mattress, his attention focused on her. Syverson didn't move at first, trying to ignore the need to bed Daisy. It would be so easy for him to pin her beneath him and take what he wanted but Syverson wasn't a monster. At least he thought he wasn't. He tried not to be.

"Omega, I don't want to hurt you. And we can learn all about each other once your heat isn't a threat anymore, okay? But right now, you surviving needs to happen."

Daisy was able to breathe when Syverson didn't immediately follow her to her nest, but rather took a seat on the bed. She was able to relax, enough to notice how badly her hands were trembling. Daisy wanted to push the blanket away from her body, the thick material only causing her to sweat more, but she didn't want to expose herself to him. It became obvious to her though that at some point, this alpha wouldn't respect the sanctity of her nest. He was now, but his patience was sure to run out at some point. Her worries were only confirmed when he began to speak again, all but confirming he would hurt her if she kept refusing him. What could she do to give herself more time? More time to think of a way to get him to leave her alone.

She sat forward in her nest, her legs crossed in the mess of blankets. Forcing herself to look up at him, she pushed her hair out of her face, damp with sweat. She couldn't even think straight, between the way her head was spinning and the pain in her sides... Syverson was larger than her alpha had been, but that wasn't a fair comparison. Daisy didn't think she had ever seen a man so large. His shirt was stretching across his muscles, almost seemingly ready to tear at the slightest movement. By his physique and the way he carried himself, it was almost obvious he served in the military.

Wiping her hand across her face, Daisy was almost panting as she tried to breath. It was excruciatingly hot. "Can.. can I take a cold shower first?" Whether she couldn't think of a way to get out of Syverson's hands, a cold shower to cool off her fever momentarily sounded wonderful compared to him jumping on her while she was sticky and in aching pain. Her jaw tensed as the words slipped off her tongue. Daisy feared he might pounce on her the second she stepped out of her nest if she didn't get his permission first.

Syverson found himself nodding his head to Daisy's request. He was almost sure that she was doing it only so she could have more time to herself but if it meant her returning to the bedroom a bit more calm, he could stomach it. She wouldn't have forever separated from him but it was a short time offer that she could take advantage of. "Be fast. Your heat's only going to get worse the longer you wait," he added lowly. Syverson didn't move from his spot on the bed, his eyes following her movements as she stood and started for the door.

Pushing to his feet, Syverson started to push the blankets around on the best. He had no real clue what he was doing but he was trying his best to make it a bit more comfortable for her. He stood back, his hands set on his hips as he looked at the nest he had attempted to build for her. Syverson sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for Daisy to return.

The sounds of the shower running seemed to go on forever. Syverson let out a low groan, wondering just how badly this was about to go as he turned toward the doorway. Syverson made his way out of the bedroom and across the hall to the closed bathroom door. Sy hesitated for a moment before he raised his hand to knock gently. He twisted the doorknob before peaking his head inside. "Omega," he breathed, her scent enough t o nearly knock him off his feet. "Are you almost done in here?"

His voice was quieter this time around, "..do you need me?"

The moment Syverson nodded and Daisy was sure she was safe to move, she darted off of the bed, still dragging the blanket off of her nest behind her. She didn't shed the cover until she was in the hallway, close enough to the bathroom door to instantly slip inside of it. Taking a few seconds to press her back firmly against the door, she thought about locking it but ultimately decided against it. She only knew where that would lead.

Stepping into the shower, Daisy turned the water on ice cold, instantly flinching when it bit at her skin, but rather quickly it became to only feel like pure instant relief. She sank against the shower wall under the cold rain of water, letting herself cry now to hopefully keep herself from crying later in front of him. If Daisy really had a choice, she would choose to suffer through this heat alone, no matter the cost. She was still so in love with her missing alpha, still missing him every single day and even if that wasn't the case, she would never want to share herself with an alpha she didn't know. Especially, not one so demanding.

She stood up straight when she heard him outside the door, trying to stifle the sob that was fighting her in the back of her throat. Daisy quickly reached to shut the water off, pulling the shower curtain back enough to see out. Her eyes were red and puffy and she still hadn't quite come to terms with what was about to happen. "I-I'm done," she whimpered, her voice barely above a whisper. If she knew this was what was going to happen, she would've left yesterday, just ran away and left her home to him without a word. Daisy reached for her towel on the sink, running it quickly through her hair before tugging it around her body.
