Syverson frowned at the whimper that he was met with. It was clear as day to him that Daisy wasn't ready for what was about to happen but there was no real choice. Either he helped her through her heat or she died, Syverson wondered what she would prefer. It seemed pretty clear that she would rather die than sleep with him but he couldn't wrap his head around it. How could she rather die than sleep with him? It wasn't as if he was going to claim her or he planned on continuing their little arrangement. This was only for them to ensure her survival.
At least Syverson had managed to convince himself of that.
Syverson's gaze settled on Daisy and he gave her a gentle smile, only for it to fall the moment he noticed just how red and puffy her eyes were. That certainly wasn't from her heat. Some part of him was offended that she was so upset. Had he been nothing but caring toward her? That was what this all boiled down to in his mind.
Stepping to the side, Syverson offered his hand out to her. "C'mon. Let's get you all settled in bed, okay?" He tried to keep his voice even, not wanting her to get scared all over again and have some sort of fit. Leading her back into the bedroom, Syverson stepped to the side so that she could enter the bedroom in front of him. He oped she appreciated the nest he had attempted to build for her.
"Do you want a glass of water? Before we..." Syverson trailed off, figuring it would be easier on her if he didn't vocalize what they were about to do.
