Emilia stood happily as the prince greeted her mother, although she was dismayed he left the conversation so soon. she took in a deep breath and pushed it to the back of her mind, reminding herself that she enever even thought she would get this far and there was no reason to get upset. she had gotten further than most girls could ever dream. she looked at her mom, showing her excitement in the most contained way she possibly could. "Can you believe it mom? I got chosen! Me..he actually likes me" she gushed, taking her mothers hands happily. ''Yes Darling, and you even got his first seat at the first royal banquet.. you should be proud of yourself!".
Emmy continued to chatter with her mother for a few moments, trying her best to bite back her tears as she hugged her goodbye. It was strange to think her mther would arrive home alone to tell the rest of her family the news. Once finished she began to look around the room for the prince, stopping every couple of steps to thank those stopping her and congratulating her. she chattered when she could before continuing on her search. Even if she couldnt find him she would like to talk some more with the other girls. Eventually she spotted him but he seemed to be in an important conversation so she settled on giving him a little wave to let him know that her mother had left and began to chat to the party guest at the table nearest her.
