The omega reform program Marshall had sent Luna off to had been far more cruel and torturous than she could've ever imagined. It was a 3 month program for young male and female omegas who had a 'problem' submitting and obeying. Three months of being either chained up in rows or locked in small cells, beaten for doing absolutely nothing and forced to obey even the most degrading demands. Luna didn't understand why her step father had sent her away, especially so immediately after losing her mother. She didn't want to believe he had anything to do with her mother's disappearance, but if he didn't... What did she do to deserve this? She wasnt the most submissive, but did it really call for this?
The months passed slowly, but Luna counted down every single day. The beatings never got easier and she had scarring on her sides and hips that she didn't think would ever disappear. On September 30th, her reform was over however and she found herself on a grey government bus, taking her home with a few other omegas who had made their way out of the compound too.
It had been hours from the little city her step father lived in, but the drive seemed to go so fast because part of her still dreaded seeing him again. There was an inkling of suspicion that maybe Marshall did have something to do with her mother's death and the closer she got home, the more dread filled her heart. She couldn't help but think she was in danger.
When she stepped off of the bus, Luna looked up at the little suburban home that Marshall and her mom had purchased together. A shaky breath left her lips as she slowly walked up to the front door and quietly knocked. She didn't know if he was aware today was the day she'd be returning. When her mother had disappeared, she had hoped they'd allow her to go live with her grandma on her mother's side, but since Marshall was married to her and claimed he wanted custody, she hadn't been granted it. Why he wanted custody, that also confused her. They had never been very close, he had met her mother after she was already 15, so she didn't see the need to have a relationship with him. Even now, she felt like a stranger knocking on his door. She waited for him to answer, wondering if he was even home. Luna was too afraid to call out to him or just step inside. Before her time in the detention center, she would've just run inside and made herself comfortable, but now, she was worried about every little action.
