Ori hadn't meant to ask the wrong thing, the low tone in Marshall's voice causing her to sit up straighter, more stiff. With every mention of his work, he always told her to drop it, or he'd avoid it himself. For a man who seemed to eat and breathe his work, she found it strange he never wanted to speak about it. "A movie sounds good," Ori nodded, turning her attention back to her food. Once they were finished, Ori stood on her feet, her face already feeling a little warm from the glass of wine she had. Before Marshall could, Ori grabbed their plates and took them into the living room. She wondered if she did what an omega was supposed to do, if soon he'd start to trust her and maybe she wouldn't have to stay locked up in the bedroom so much.

After cleaning the plates off in the sink, Ori dried her hands and returned to the table to grab her glass. "If we're going to stay up and watch a movie, would you care if I had another?" Ori didn't want to get drunk, especially not with him. He could tell her she was safe with him repeatedly all night long and she still wouldn't believe him. Though, a slight buzz to relax and enjoy the evening sounded nice. She also picked his empty glass up and returned it to the kitchen, setting it upside down in the sink.

"Did you have a movie in mind?" Ori was trying her hardest to open up more to him. If she was going to be forced to stay here with him, then at the very least, she could try not to be miserable. So far, he hadn't hurt her and had been gentle. Other than him being a stranger and locking her up like a prisoner, she supposed things could be much worse.

Marshall's brows shot to his hairline while he watched Ori grab their plates and take them over to the kitchen sink. He certainly hadn't expected her to go that far. He couldn't help but wonder if it was because she genuinely wanted to help to care for him or if she was doing it mostly out of fear of what would happen if she didn't. He rubbed his cheek, almost asking her before he decided against it. That was opening up a can of worms that he didn't want to start with. At least not right now.

"Hm? Sure, if you'd like another glass, sweetheart. I told you you could have whatever you wanted here," Marshall murmured, tilting his head to the side. Some part of him knew that it was wrong to be offering alcohol to a minor but who was going to stop him? No one even knew that Ori was here with him, no one could stop him, as far as he was concerned.

Moving to his feet, Marshall headed over to the couch and dropped down. He let out a small sigh as he leaned back, setting his feet on the edge of the coffee table. "Doesn't matter to me. Why don't you pick one of your favourites?" He suggested as he gave a gentle smile. Marshall hesitated for a moment before he reached his arm out, wrapping it around Ori's shoulders. His fingers brush against her shoulder but that was as far as he dared to go, wanting to see how she would react to the touch before he did anything else.

After Marshall gave her freedom to choose, she searched through the channels of movies before finding one of her favorite cult movies, Queen of the Damned. This was a movie she could watch over and over, it could always keep her attention and she was hoping that wouldn't falter tonight. Sinking down in the cushions, Ori brought her knees up to her chest and tried to get comfortable next to him. No matter how many nights passed, she couldn't shake how dangerous he felt to be around.

When his arm draped across her shoulder, Ori froze and her eyes slowly looked down at her shoulder, where his fingers gently brushed over her skin. Her face heated up more and Ori brought the wine glass to her lips, trying to hide how nervous she was. Her stomach was tying itself into knots and a small voice in her head was telling her to get out. The longer she stayed around the Marshall, the more obvious his intentions became. She still wasn't sure if he would hurt her, but she just knew sooner or later, he'd want more from her.

Taking a sip of the wine, Ori could already feel her head beginning to swim from the first one. A few minutes passed and she found herself relaxing back into his arm. With the wine running through her system, it was easier to remind herself that he promised he just wanted to take care of her and with her mind becoming cloudy, she could almost believe it. Ori could feel how hard his body was as she leaned against him, feeling his muscle underneath of her. She still held her glass of wine, as if it was offering some sort of protection as long as she held it.

Marshall's breathing came in short, even bursts as his attention was all but focused on Ori, instead of the movie that she had picked out. Vaguely, he recognized that it was Queen of the Damned but he couldn't have told you what part of the movie was if you had asked. His eyes raked up and down Ori's form, his nerves on edge. There was an unclaimed omega curled up against his side, nursing her second glass of wine. Marshall was sure that it was probably one of her first, especially knowing Maggie was her mother. Maggie had always been a bit uptight, as far as he was concerned.

He reached forward to pull the glass of wine out of Ori's grip. Leaning further forward, Marshall set the glass down on the coffee table before he twisted again so that he was facing Ori completely. "Shh, ya gonna be okay, omega," Marshall promised as he leaned forward. He cupped her cheek, brushing his thumb across her cheek before he leaned into her body, pressing his lips to hers.

Marshal was convinced that since Ori had been drinking, she wouldn't push him away. That she would be more inviting. After all, Ori had cleaned up after their dinner. That told him what he had wanted to know, she must want to please him on some sort of level. Whether that was a genuine desire or if she was afraid, Marshall didn't really care at the moment.

Ori's face immediately scrunched together in confusion when Marshall reached for her glass. "What're you-" she started to argue, feeling a pit open in her stomach when he shushed her. The poor thing already knew what was about to happen before it did. She pushed herself away, into the couch, though she knew there was no real way to get away from him. She flinched away from his hand, wondering what she'd done to make him think this was a good idea. The wine still lingered on her lips and she was positive he could taste it as he pressed his lips to hers.

At first, she was shocked. His lips mingled with hers and his body pressed against her, almost feeling the bulk of his weight completely on her. She shot her hands to his chest, forcing him back a few inches. Her scent had completely lost all of its attractiveness, completely turning from how panicked and terrified Ori felt. "What are you doing?" Ori tried again, hoping to fully get her protest out. It was a dumb question, one she already had an answer to. She knew all of this was coming, from the moment he told her he wouldn't take her home, she knew.

Their bodies were still molded together and Ori tried to squirm away. Her hand shot to her mouth as she touched her lips, feeling distraught and embarrassed because that had been her first kiss... "I-I want to go to bed now. Let me up," she begged, trying to get away from him.

Marshall refused to move away from Ori, his hands sliding to her waist. He pulled her closer, holding her close to him. He grinned into the kiss, sure that Ori would end up enjoying herself. He chose to ignore her scent when it started to turn, able to convince himself that it had to be purely about the fact that this was probably her first time. Especially with an experienced alpha. Of course Ori was going to be nervous but Marshall had ever intention of showing her that he could make her happy. That he could show her pleasure that she had never even thought possible before.

When Orion managed to push him enough that Marshall pulled away from her, his face fell into a frown at her panicked look. She started begging to go to bed before Marshall could even speak. Marshall pulled away entirely, his eyes narrowed as he glared at her. "Is that really how you're choosing to act, omega?" He demanded, a sneer stretching across his lip.

"I've bought you all the nesting supplies you could ever want... the snacks... the books you wanted. I even let you have a few glasses of wine despite knowing you shouldn't right now. And you're going to reject me?! All because you're not comfortable?" Marshall demanded, completely enraged at this point. He started to shake, his hands balling into fists as he shook his head. "I was going to make you feel good, happy.. and this is how you repay me? How is that fair?!"

Ori's eyes widened as Marshall grew louder and with every word he yelled, he too, seemed to get larger. Her heart was going crazy in her chest and she felt hot from her head to her toes. Tears burned her eyes and she didn't know how to react, all she could think about was how she saw this coming. Every little act of kindness he had taken as a sign and it was to be expected he'd throw up all the things he'd bought for her. She wanted to remind him she hadn't asked for any of it, but she knew that would only upset him more.

"M-Marshall, please..." Ori whimpered, trying to calm him down, doing everything she could to force her scent to return to normal. Hoping that would be enough to subdue him. "You're scaring me.." It seemed like a stupid thing to point out, but she was hoping if she brought it to his attention, a part of him might realize and he'd quiet down. "I'm sorry- I, I'm tired and y-you're right I shouldn't have had the wine, it gave me a migraine and..." She was frantically searching for any excuse that would help, but nothing did. He just continued on about how it wasn't fair and she owed him.

If she couldn't calm him down, what was the point? Ori scrambled up from the couch and headed for the hallway, wanting to put as much distance between them as she could. "It's not fair that you're keeping me here!" She finally screamed at him, unable to listen to his complaining any longer.

Marshall relaxed back against the couch, grinding his teeth together as he listened to Ori talk about how scared she was and how the wine had given her a migraine. He shook his head, letting out a dry laugh. As far as he was concerned, Ori was being completely ridiculous. He had been nothing but kind to her, giving her everything she could have wanted and he just wanted to kiss her a little bit. What was so bad about that? Of course, it would probably go a bit further than just kissing but he had had every intention of being gentle with her.

He told himself that he had every intention of letting Ori just go back to her bedroom but then she opened her mouth again and she was shouting about how it wasn't fair he had her here. That had been the wrong thing to do. Marshall was on his feet in a flash, stalking toward her. His steps were slow and calculated and a sick part of him enjoyed the way that Ori quaked in fear. "Dont' you dare shut that door, omega. You don't want me coming through it, too," he snapped as he neared her.

His hand shot out and he cupped the back of Ori's head, his fingers digging painfully into the back of her skull as he brought her closer to him. Marshall was all controlled anger, his eyes narrowed into thin slits as he glared at her. "Do not disrespect me in my own house. Understand, omega?" HE growled the words, dragging her even closer, until he stood chest to chest with her.

The second Marshall was up on his feet, Ori's eyes shot open. Gulping, she knew she messed up. Turning on her heel, she darted down the hall towards the spare bedroom, but just as her hand shoved the door open, she heard Marshall dare her to shut herself in. Each step he took was quiet and slow, and between each one she could hear her heart thudding loudly. Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut or keep apologizing?

"O-ow!" She cried, her hands shooting to the back of her head where his fingers felt like they were crushing her skull. Dragging her towards his chest, Ori wanted to fight and force herself away, but the tight grip he held on her wouldn't allow that. This wasn't how she saw this night going. It had been going so well, but then he had to try and kiss her... She was sixteen and he looked in his mid thirties, how could he expect her to be okay with that? More tears poured from her eyes as he growled at her and all Ori could do was frantically nod her head, her fingers still trying to peel his hand out of her hair.

It was frightening how angry Marshall seemed but how calm at the same time. It was obvious he wasn't the type of man to let rage blind him, he knew every single thing he was doing and Ori couldn't help but wonder if he enjoyed it. "I-I'm s-sorry, y-you're scaring me!" She hated how their bodies were pressed together again and she was fearful he'd try to take what he wanted again. "I-I'm not r-ready, M-Marshall, I-I just don't w-want to-" she kept trying to make him understand, but she was so scared she couldn't stop crying or shaking.

"Ow?" Marshall echoed as if he cared at all about her pain. Right now, all he could think about was how ungrateful she was acting toward him. She was acting like he hadn't just cared about her, like he hadn't gotten her all the gifts in the world to make her feel welcome in his home. Where she belonged, more than Marshall had even realized because she was his pup. He wasn't going to let her go now or ever for that matter. Ori was his. It would be better for her if she would just realize that now.

Marshall started marching Ori back into the bedroom, his face formed into a hard glare as he shoved the bedroom door shut. His face was blank otherwise as he continued to back her toward the bed in the middle of the room. Once they were close enough that she would land on the mattress, Marshall threw her backward. He smirked at the sight, running his tongue along his bottom lip. "I didn't want to have to hurt you, omega. I care about you, more than you ever may realize... and you just had to go and hurt me. Didn't you?"

Marshall was spinning this around and making it her fault because to him, it was. He sneered as he tugged his shirt up and over his head before he dropped it beside him. "Now. If you behave like a good little pup, I won't. I can make you feel so good.. if you'll let me," he murmured as he started to pull off his belt.

Ori crawled back onto the bed, trying to scurry up against the headboard go get away from him. He didn't like how he was looking at her, like a predatory animal looking at a hunk of meat. Her head was aching and she felt sick go her stomach, her whole body was warm too from the wine. Another thing making her uncomfortable as Marshall tossed her around. "I d-didnt mean to hurt you," she choked out, feeling the tears dropping off of her chin. Tangling her hands in her shirt, she desperately tried screwing her eyes shut, wishing she was anywhere but here right now. The sound of his shirt hitting the floor made her whimper, and she could hear him fumbling around with his belt.

She didn't see any way out of this. Forcing herself to look back at him, she pressed her back against the headboard. Her heart was shattering into a million pieces because she had never even been on a date before. Her mother had always been so strict and uptight, she was never allowed to even talk to boys on the phone. She had never been to a school dance or one a little date, Marshall had already taken her first kiss from her.

Ori tried once more, begging and praying in her mind that it would work. "P-please just n-not now, please. I'm scared and I've never even kissed before and I feel like I'm going to be sick." She watched as he slid his belt from around his waist and the way his hand gripped it tightly. Ori didn't want to upset him more, she didn't want to make it harder on herself, but she was panicking.

Marshall looped the belt in his hand and for a moment, he wondered if he ought to tie her wrists together so that she couldn't stop him. He smirked at the thought, his cock twitching at the thought of Ori being completely helpless to his ministrations. Or did he want her to fight back as his former victims had? It would be useless either way, Ori would take his cock but.. one would be more fun than the other. Dropping the belt to the ground, Marshall unbuttoned his pants and unzipped them but left them hanging around his waist as he neared the edge of the bed.

"If not now, when? Little omega, I've been nothing but kind to you. The least you can do is lay there and take an alpha's cock. I mean, that's what you wanted, wasn't it? Why else would you have been asking for another glass of wine, hm?" Marshall tested, a little smirk on his face as if he had figured everything out because it was a simple enough equation to him.

"Now are you going to be a good omega or do I have to take what's mine? Hm?" Marshall murmured as he knelt on the bed. Slowly, he inched forward, his attention zeroed in on Ori. It was her last chance for Marshall to be kind or she would suffer beneath his hand, it was all up to her how this happened.

More tears burned Ori's eyes when he tried to turn it around on her, blaming the second glass of wine as if that had anything to do with it. It was just something she had wanted because it made her feel older than she was, but now she wished she hadn't. Now she was getting more than she bargained for. Hearing him say she should just lay there and take it, it made her feel disgusting. "N-not what I wanted," she tried to argue, shaking her head as she cried. Before this moment, it had been uncomfortable, but at least she could look at Marshall. She wasn't frozen in fear when she heard him come home, there was no worry he would've really hurt her. By no means did she want to stay here, but he had done a good job of hiding this side of him. It still didn't surprise her though.

Ori tried to shrink smaller, her heart sinking to her stomach as she watched Marshall get closer and closer. Was it silly to think she had wanted her first time to be special, and with someone she trusted and loved? The matress underneath of them dipped and moved as he crawled over the bed. Ori's shoulders slouched as she dropped her head, feeling tears sliding down her nose. There was no getting away from him. She could crawl off the bed and let him chase her all over this apartment until one of them got tired, but she knew how it would play out.

"I-I'll be good," Ori whispered, unable to look at him. Her skin felt grimy, and like it was crawling. The thought of submitting to him, her kidnapper, felt so wrong. But what choice did she have?

"But I gave you things you wanted, didn't I? I bought you things to nest with... books, art supplies... what else, omega? Snacks, those, too. It's not as if I haven't provided for you. The least you can do is pay me back, isn't it? I'm gonna make you feel good, too. So long as you behave the way you're s'posed to... this can be good. Just the way an omega's first time is supposed to be..." Marshall trailed off, running his tongue over his bottom lip.

Marshall reached out, his fingers wrapping around Ori's ankle before he dragged her toward him. She was splayed out in front of him, just the way he wanted her to. Marshall had felt an instant connection to Ori and he knew that was because he was her father. He couldn't help but wonder if she had felt some sort of connection at first as well.. or maybe she hadn't at all and that was why she had been so afraid of him from the beginning. Marshall had been kind to her up until a few moments ago but now, he couldn't resist their connection. He simply couldn't, the thought of feeling Ori's tight little cunt wrapped around his made him groan.

"Just relax, sweet omega," Marshall whispered as he leaned down to press his lips against hers. His hands moved to her hips where he shimmied the shirt she wore up her torso. "I promise I'll make you feel good. Better than you could even imagine," he murmured as he pulled away from her just long enough to pull the shirt up and over her head. He discarded it over the side of the bed before he began kissing down her chest. Marshall's tongue swirled around her nipple, his hand twisting her other nipple. Not enough to hurt but enough that he hoped it would entice her.

His hands felt so large against her skin, pushing her shirt up her sides, ignoring the way it made her shudder. There certainly was no fighting him off now, no getting away from him. The second her shirt was off, her hands flew to her chest to try and cover herself, not wanting him to see her. That wasn't an option though and Ori soon realized that when Marshall began kissing down her chest. Her hands fell away, remembering she had promised to be good. He had scared her enough into believing that he would hurt her and she didn't want to test him any further.

Ori could feel her heart thudding in her throat, and when he began nipping at one nipple and brushing the other with his thumb, she opened her mouth to protest or scream or anything, but nothing came out. There wasn't any way she could calm down. Screwing her eyes shut, she tried to ignore everything that was happening, remembering he said all she had to do was lay on her back. Was that the truth? Could she just lay here with her eyes closed until it was over? His scent was pouring over her and for the first time, it smelled sweet. Not sickeningly sweet, but just enough to tell her how excited he was. It was something her omega couldn't ignore.

Peeling one eye open, she looked down at him, feeling him grinding against her as he kissed and bit over her breast. Hesitant, Ori lifted her hands to his hair, and let her fingers pick through his curls. The only sound from her was still only sniffles and an occasional whimper, but running her fingers through his hair helped calm her. "P-please don't hurt me, Marshall," Ori whispered, almost anticipating him to be too rough.

Try as she might to deny how she was enjoying this, Marshall was convinced that she was. He smirked as his hand slid between her thighs, cupping her core. The heat emanating from her made him let out a soft growl as he moved his attention to her other nipple. "Sweetheart, 'm not going to hurt you. I just want to make you feel good. I promise, hm?" He grinned as he looked up to her, her fingers working through his hair was enough to cement the fact that she wanted him, to him. Why else would she be touching him? Marshall leaned forward, capturing Ori's lips. His touch was far less demanding this time as his fingers moved to dip beneath the waistband of the boxers she wore.

"Wanna make you feel so good," Marshall whispered against her lips. "Just relax and I promise, pup. You'll like how I make you feel, hm?" Marshall suggested in a low voice. His lips twitched upward into a smirk as he began to kiss down the center of her chest, his gaze turning heavy as he pulled away, just enough that he could pull the boxers away from her thighs. "Good girl. Gonna taste you, gonna make you feel real good," he murmured as his eyes dropped to her cunt.

He ran his tongue over his bottom lip as his fingers teased her slit. "Already so slick. Ya want this, huh?" Marshall uttered as he leaned forward, running his tongue between her folds. Pressing closer to her, Marshallcircled her clit with his tongue as he teased her entrance with the tip of his finger. "Just relax. This'll hurt if you don't and I don't wanna hurt you.." he murmured, running his tongue between her folds

    the next morning

Ori laid curled up in the blankets of her bed a little after nine. Marshall had woken her up around five that morning, as he was getting up to go to work. Running off little sleep after how long they had stayed up, but she suspected, to him, it had been worth it. Was it worth it? What she went through just to put a smile on his face? Glancing towards the door, it was closed tightly and surely locked. There was an ache between her legs that she was sure would be there for a while. Every time she closed her eyes she saw him on top of her, could almost still feel his hands. The size of him had been enough to make her shake and she had tried again to get away from him, crying that it was too big, but he didn't care.

She only moved from the bed once. Getting to her feet, she wanted out of the sheets and blankets that were coated in his smell. His clothes she had been wearing still laid in a pile on the floor and though she wanted to cover up, she refused to take anything else from him. That had been his reasoning for taking her the night before, because of all the "kindness" he had showed her.

The least you can do is pay me back, isn't it?

More tears pooled to her eyes as she sat down on the edge of the bed and saw the remnants of dried blood on her thighs. Her first time had been with a monster. Pushing herself to her feet, she moved across the room and pulled the closet door open. In an instant, she was on her knees in her nest, crying into the blankets and sheets, wishing she could just go home, hug her mom again.

She must've fallen asleep in her nest, at some point, but she couldn't remember. The lock on the living room door could be heard and she knew Marshall was home. What time was it? Slowly sliding the closet door open, she couldn't see anything in the pitch blackness. No light was coming through the windows. Shutting the door back quickly, she burrowed into her nest and tried to hide.

Marshall had gotten home that night and immediately gone to Ori's room. He hadn't been the least bit surprised when he discovered that she was curled up in her nest. It broke his heart because she was clearly upset. Whether he was the cause or not, that didn't change the fact that Marshall wanted to console her. He bit back a sigh, running a hand down his face before he lowered to his knees in front of the closet. In an effort to console her, Marshall spoke to her and continued to do whatever he could to help her calm. Once it became increasingly clear that Ori wasn't going to listen to a thing that he said, Marshall retired to the couch in the living room. He reasoned that he didn't think Ori would try to leave but he wanted to be able to catch her if she tried to do something that foolish.

Apparently Ori had proved him wrong because Marshall awoke to his phone ringing, an unfamiliar number popping up across the screen. He answered it and when he did, Marshall's blood ran cold. Ori was home and she had been attacked, she kept muttering about this man who had hurt her but that was all she would say. He knew the truth of what had happened but the fact that Ori had managed to sneak out of the apartment without him realizing it upset him. God forbid she opened up and people realized that it was him who had hurt her? Oh no, that wouldn't do.

Heading straight for Maggie's home, Marshall was relieved to note that there was no one home in the few houses surrounding her. That meant he likely wouldn't be disturbed as he climbed out of his truck. Marshall had no real plan for what he was going to do as he jogged up to the house, taking the front steps two at a time before he halted in front of the door. He knocked, not the least bit surprised when Maggie pulled the door open moments later.

"Maggie," Marshall breathed, hugging her tightly. "Show me where she is," he said, nodding toward Maggie as she began to lead him up to Ori's room.

Sneaking out of the apartment had been much easier than Ori thought. It had been terrifying, creeping through the dark apartment in the middle of the night as Marshall dozed on the couch. Her heart was pounding so loudly she was afraid it would wake him, but the moment she was free of him... She could finally breathe. Finding out where she was and how to get home... That was more difficult.
Maggie was more than relieved when her daughter had come crashing through the front door, crying and shaking and hugging her so tightly. Her mother had helped her wash up and had taken her straight to bed, and that's where she was still when Marshall showed up that morning. "Upstairs, c'mon." Maggie directed him, leading them through their small suburban home to the stairs. "You're gonna find who did this to my-" she paused, swallowing around the word, "our daughter, right? She's a mess, Marsh." His old nickname rolled off her tongue as she led him to Ori's bedroom, her hands trembling as she pushed the door open.

Ori stirred under the blankets, pulling her eyes open when she heard the voices in the hall. She had been too afraid to tell her mom who had taken her, who had hurt her, because he was a police officer. What could be done? It could be so easily covered up for him, she thought anyway. Rising up, she leaned back on her elbows as she yawned. Ori was completely relaxed, believing that since she was home, with her mom, she was safe and no one could hurt her. Not even Marshall.

    Until she caught his scent.

Rocketing up in the bed, she turned to look at the door right as her mother pushed it open. Over her shoulder, there he was, standing behind her. Ori's face instantly paled and unable to control it, she threw herself over the edge of the bed, vomiting on the floor. Gagging, she felt hot tears burning her eyes and all she could cry out was no, no, no!

"Sweetie??" Maggie's eyes widened as she hurried into her daughter's room, confused by her reaction.

Ori knew what this meant. Marshall was in her home, her mother must've called the police station to tell them she'd be found and because she hadn't told her who it had been... God, she had been so stupid! He was going to take her back, she knew it. "M-mom, make him leave!" Ori cried.

Marshall thought it was nearly laughable that Maggie had called him the moment that she had a free second. Luring him back to his prey. Ori would be returning to his apartment, one way or another. Maggie would have to pay, that was almost a given because how else would he take Ori back with him? As soon as Ori started spouting off about who he was, then Maggie would react. But Maggie knew something that Ori didn't, Maggie knew most of his dirty little secrets which meant Maggie would know what was about to happen as soon as she pieced together two and two.

"Sweetheart, he's the detective that brought you home from that predator and.. and he's your father. I know that's not the best way for you to find out right now but it's important. Marshall only wants to make sure you're okay," Maggie explained as they both stepped into the room. Marshall gave a gentle smile, wondering if Ori would be foolish enough to tell Maggie the truth. The moment Maggie learned was also the moment that Maggie's death became an absolute decision.

Marshall started toward Ori, his shoulders relaxed despite the anger he felt. He had pushed it away, trying to pretend to play the concerned parent part. He had never been a father and he never really would be, it was all an act to make Maggie feel better. Hopefully, Ori wouldn't be foolish enough to clue her mother in.

"Your mother called me as soon as you went missing and I'm.. sorry I didn't know. I wish I could have been able to protect you more because if I had known, I would have never let anything happen to you after I dropped you off here the first time. I'm sorry, pup," Marshall's apology nearly sounded sincere as he looked down to her, his frown only groaning. "But I promise. Nothing is ever going to happen to you again. Okay?"
