Ori hadn't meant to ask the wrong thing, the low tone in Marshall's voice causing her to sit up straighter, more stiff. With every mention of his work, he always told her to drop it, or he'd avoid it himself. For a man who seemed to eat and breathe his work, she found it strange he never wanted to speak about it. "A movie sounds good," Ori nodded, turning her attention back to her food. Once they were finished, Ori stood on her feet, her face already feeling a little warm from the glass of wine she had. Before Marshall could, Ori grabbed their plates and took them into the living room. She wondered if she did what an omega was supposed to do, if soon he'd start to trust her and maybe she wouldn't have to stay locked up in the bedroom so much.
After cleaning the plates off in the sink, Ori dried her hands and returned to the table to grab her glass. "If we're going to stay up and watch a movie, would you care if I had another?" Ori didn't want to get drunk, especially not with him. He could tell her she was safe with him repeatedly all night long and she still wouldn't believe him. Though, a slight buzz to relax and enjoy the evening sounded nice. She also picked his empty glass up and returned it to the kitchen, setting it upside down in the sink.
"Did you have a movie in mind?" Ori was trying her hardest to open up more to him. If she was going to be forced to stay here with him, then at the very least, she could try not to be miserable. So far, he hadn't hurt her and had been gentle. Other than him being a stranger and locking her up like a prisoner, she supposed things could be much worse.
