At Last I See the Light.

Annie looked at Steve, her cheeks pink, “y-you did?” She looked at her hands, “I’ve always had feelings for you steve.. I was just a mess and then Bucky helped me through some stuff.. but he ended up hurting me anyway”

Annie sighed and lied n bed in w fetal position crying softly.

‘Want to go for a walk?’

Annie held her pillow close to her chest, “no thanks. I want to wallow right now.”

‘Want me to leave?’

Annie grabbed his hand “no.. i really need to be held...”

He nodded before laying down behind her. He pulled her close so her back was pressed against his chest.

Annie let out a sigh of relief as she calmed down after a few minutes her eyes were red and puffy and her lips were slightly swollen. She had turned to Steve her eyes closed as he held her.

‘I know it hurts but we’ll be okay.’

Annie breathed softly as she looked at Steve nodding softly , he brushed some of her hair out of her face. And gently carasses her face, causing her to blush. Annie closed her eyes.

‘Let’s get some rest. I’m a bit tired. I won’t let you go.’

Annie nodded and turned around so Steve was spooning her. It was nice. She yawned softly. “Thanks.. Steve “

Annie sighed “I do “

He kissed her head, ‘let’s get some rest.’

Annie nodded as she hugged Steve taking in his cologne it was soothing like he was. She didn’t mean to cry on his shirt but the tears just kept coming. She eventually stopped drifting to sleep

He rubbed her back gently, wanting to soothe her. Make her feel calm.

Annie relaxed in his arms and sighed softly.
