Mason tapped away at his keyboard for a moment, pulling up his email. He listened closely to her. She was right, he hadn't responded to her email. "My apologies, it seems I did type out a reply to that query before the break, but never sent it," he explained lightly. Her stumbling, annoying him slightly, not that he let it show.
He read over the email again, which included no formal reason, just a note that the dean had approved the leave. He sighed softly, "The course work that we have covered in class, up until this point, will be discussed briefly in the lecture today, as for the assignments relating to that work," he began. He did some calculations, and looked at his calendar, "the first one you missed, get it to me by next Monday, the last one by the Monday after that, and all the others, in between," he said lightly.
He looked over at the pile of assignments on his desk, all of which he'd scanned through briefly, and were far to long for his liking. "I'll give you one freebie pointer, that might also make the task less daunting," he added. "A single page assignment, is perfectly okay to me, as long as it covers the set question, and answers it properly," he finished.
