Pretty Things & Evil Deeds

Azana turned slightly in the bed so she could glance out of the window. It seemed that Elliot was right about the sun having not risen. She let out a small sigh as she turned back in the bed. "I have never been good about sleeping in," Azana whispered to him as she weapped her arms around a pillow.

"I wouldn't have let you push me out of bed." Azana whispered to him before burying her face into her pillow. "You don't have to make me breakfast. If you're still tired, you should go back to sleep,"

Elliot hummed a bit as she shifted next to him, chuckling softly as she mentioned being bad at sleeping in. "Well I think you should try getting used to it." He teased softly, brushing his fingers through her hair. "You don't have to sleep, but you should at least rest. You went through a lot, and need to rest, even if you don't want to."

He stretched lazily and rolled to lay on his stomach with his arms tucked under his pillow, smiling tiredly as she hid her face in her pillow. "I'd let you push me out of bed. And I don't mind making you something if you're hungry. Or at least show you where the dishes are."

"I'll try," Azana murmured to him. She closed her eyes for a moment as his fingers ran through her hair. "I can't promise on the sleeping but I'll make sure to rest plenty... I'm just not used to it. That's all. But it's not like we have anything important to do over the next week,"

When the bed stopped moving underneath her, Azana knew that Elliot had settled. So her eyes opened back up and she shifted on the bed so that her head could lay against his bsck comfortably. "I'm not hungry. The only thing I'll need is my first bottle of treatment but I'll grab that in a few minutes,"

"I'm sure you'll get used to it. You might even realize that you like relaxing. Who knows, you might even consider opening your shop up later after this." Elliot chuckled, stifling a yawn as he finished settling into bed.

He let his eyes shut again as he felt her shift next to him, surprised as he felt her lay her head against his back. After a moment he shifted once more to draw an arm around her, tugging her close. "If you ever need anything, Az, don't be afraid to wake me up. I'll do whatever I can to help you."

At the tug from Elliot, Azana moved closer into his body. Her head slid down from his back and into his chest as they both shifted to get more comfortable. And her arms slowly started to slide along his sides before eventually moving around to his back to pull lightly hold onto him. "The shop opens up late enough as it is." She mumbled into him. Though she gave him a little nod as he reassured her to wake him up when she needed it. "Thank you, Elliot. But I hope not to disturb your sleep consistently."

The young woman stayed there for some time, quite comfortably in his arms. She took in the warmth that his body offered and the comfort that Elliot was more than willing to provide. They had known each other for such a sort time but Azana felt she had grown close to Elliot during it. Closer than she would have ever suspected in such a short time frame. Though, Azana slowly started to become restless, especially as she knew she needed to follow the regiment the healer had given her. "I need to go take my medicine," She whispered to Elliot.

Elliot was already relaxed, but having Azana resting in his arms relaxed him even further. He'd been so worried about her for the past few weeks, so terrified of what Kendric was doing or might do to her, so knowing that she was safe with him put him at ease. He even reached up to run his fingers through her hair, hoping to comfort her as much as the action helped to comfort him. He hummed as she thanked him and urged him to sleep, nuzzling his nose into her hair with a tired sigh. "You'd never disturb me, Azana.."

He managed to doze off a bit with her in his arms, but let out a tired groan of acknowledgement when she said she had to go take her medicine. "M'kay.." He mumbled, his arms loosening around her so that she could go, although he didn't fully remove his arms from her.

A little sigh left the young woman as she had to slide out of his arms. Once she had settled into Elliot, she actually had very little interest in leaving. But she knew she needed to care for her health and it was a bit more on the difficult side for Azana to sit and do nothing once she was already awake. So she crawled out of bed and made her way into the kitchen where her two boxes of potions, lotions and whatever else had been subscribed to her was there. She looked over it for a few minutes before pulling out to items from it. First, she drank down a tonic that had been given to her. Though as she looked over the lotion, Azana let out a little sigh before setting it back down and determining that she should wait for Elliot to wake for his help.

With that in mind, Azana started to make breakfast for the two of them. Nothing too fancy but she figured that eggs and toast would satisfy them.

Elliot shifted to fully lay on his stomach and tuck his face into his pillow once Azana was gone, letting out a little groan as he dozed off again. The smell of eggs and toast cooking a while later woke him up though, and as much as he wanted to continue sleeping his growling stomach told him he ought to get up, so he sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes before getting out of bed and heading out of his room, smiling sleepily at Azana as he saw her in the kitchen.

"Good morning.. You didn't have to make breakfast, you know, especially after I had offered." He teased softly, moving to pull out glasses and plates for them. "What would you like to drink? I also think there might be some fruit or yogurt and stuff that we brought from your apartment, if you want any of that."

"I wanted to." Azana told him with a little shurg and a smile. "It just seemed easier since you were still sleeping and it's not like I can't handle cooking right now." As she said that, Azana poured a pan of eggs onto a plate and set it down on the table. She then went back and grabbed the toast that had popped up in the microwave before also setting that onto a plate and bringing it to the table. Once that was done, she sat down in one of the chairs. "And a glass of water would be nice, thank you. As for other food, I am happy with just the eggs and toast, thanks though."

Azana pushed her hair back behind her ears before shifting in her chair a bit. "Besides, I wanted to make breakfast because there is something else that I needed your help with. I have to take my patches off and put some lotion onto the spots and then put the patches back on. Would you mind helping? There are some spots that will harder to reach and I am worried that getting the patches back on with my hands covered in lotion will be difficult."

Elliot nodded a bit as she said that she didn't mind making breakfast for them, filling each of them a glass of water before moving over to set them down on the table as she set down the plates with the eggs and toast, taking a seat across from her and helping himself to some of the eggs and toast that she'd prepared.

"Thank you for making this. I probably would have just had cereal." He admitted with a little smile, nodding as she asked him if he'd help her tend to her injuries. "Of course, I'd be happy to help. Once we're finished with breakfast I can help with whatever you need."

"Thank you, Elliot," Azana said with a gentle smile. She would feel a little better about the situation if he also was taking the same things that she was. That they would both be assisting each other with the potions, lotions, tonics and more. But, unfortunately, all Elliot had were tonics and sleep. Her eyes shifted down to her plate. Part of her was thinking of giving Elliot some of the items she had been given but they didn't have the same issues. Would it even help him? What if she just called and told the healer she had broken some of the tonics and needed more? Or would she just see through that?

Azana took a bite of her food before rubbing the side of her head. "How are you feeling today?" She glanced over Elliot for a long moment. At the current moment, she couldn't even make him a tonic.

Elliot nodded between bites of egg and toast, offering her a little smile as he chewed. "Of course. It's no problem, really." He assured her. He was glad to be able to help her, especially since her getting hurt was his fault. When she asked how he was feeling she looked up from his plate, eyes softening and offering her a small smile.

"I'm doing just fine, Az." He assured her. He could tell she felt guilty about the healer refusing to help him, that she wanted to do something about it, but there really wasn't anything to be done about it. She couldn't change anything or convince everyone that he was good when they viewed his people so negatively, and all he could do was be thankful that she didn't hate him after everything that had happened. "I'll be better in no time."

"Good," Azana said softly before she glanced back down at her food. Maybe she was just worrying too much. Perhaps it would be better to just wait and see if he was better by tomorrow or the next day. After all, she didn't really want to burn bridges with the healers if she didn't need to. Though it was probably still a good idea to go through what she had been given and see if there was something in there that he could use.

Once she had finished eating, Azana stood up and put her plate and the other dishes into the dishwasher before turning back to Elliot. "Any thoughts on what you're going to do today?" There was no doubt that they had to stay inside but it didn't mean they had to sit around and do nothing.

Elliot nodded a bit, finishing up his breakfast before standing to bring his dish to the kitchen as she did, smiling sheepishly as she put everything away in the dishwasher. "Thank you. I usually run the dishwasher at the end of the day when it's full." He explained, tidying up the counters for a few minutes before looking at her as she asked what he was going to do today.

"Hm.. Mostly rest, probably. I still feel pretty exhausted. Maybe we could watch a movie or something?" He suggested. He knew she probably wouldn't want to sleep as much as he did, but at the very least he could be up for a while to keep her company and help her with tending to her injuries. "I also think I have some board games and puzzles in a closet somewhere, if movies aren't that interesting."

"A movie would be a great idea." It was clear in Elliot's eyes that he just wanted to sleep most of the day away and she really couldn't blame him. Elliot needed the rest, there was no doubt about that. She needed it as well but Azana knew it was harder for her to just sleep on and off though out the day. Though perhaps she should try along with Elliot's sleep schedule, whatever that would be. "Resting would be a smart idea as well, for the both of us."

With that, Azana turned and headed back to her box. She then took out a lotion jar and turned back to Eliot. "But before we do any of that, lets do this first. I was technically meant to put it on right when I woke up but..." Azana gave him a little shrug. "Anyways, I just need a little help. I can reach most of the spots except for my back and putting the patches back on is going to be a nightmare."

Elliot smiled as she agreed that a movie would be a good idea, nodding a bit. "I have a few DVDs lying around, but we can also probably pull something up online, because I can guarantee that the DVDs I have are no good." He chuckled, smiling up at her. "But yes, resting for both of us is what we should be doing today."

He nodded and stood when she asked him to help with tending to her wounds, offering her a little smile as he moved over to her. "Of course, Az. Just let me know what to do and I'll do my best to help."

Azana smiled warmly at Elliot. "Thank you, again." She said before she pulled the gauze and patches from her hands before sitting down in the kitchen chair sideways so her back was available. She opened up the jar and set it down on the table. "I can put the lotion everywhere but down my back. So can you put it there? Then I think I'll have to have you put all of the patches on otherwise they'll just be covered in lotion and get unsticky." Her nose wrinkled a bit at the thought.

She reached over to the box and pulled out the patches, setting them down onto the table. Azana then sat up straight as she grabbed onto the bottom of her shirt and pulled it off over her head. Though she did it in a way that she was able to hold the shirt to her front so she wasn't just flashing him. The bandage down her back started at the hairline of her neck and continued down to the hem of her pants, completely covering her spine.

Elliot nodded as he pulled a chair out to sit behind her, taking his seat and rolling up the sleeves of his shirt before waiting patiently while she gave him the instructions. "Of course, I'd be happy to." He assured her, averting his gaze politely as she slipped her shirt up over her head, looking back once she was decent. She was beautiful and he cared for her, but wouldn't dare do anything to take advantage of her or make her uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry if it hurts a bit when I pull off the patch, I'll do my best to be extra careful." He promised before he began to carefully pull the bandages off, setting them down on the table. Once they were off he gathered up some lotion on his fingers and carefully spread it down her spine where the bandages had been covering, humming slightly as he went. "Just let me know if I'm putting too much on or if it hurts or something."

As Elliot pulled the bandages off of her back, she closed her eyes. It was a bit uncomfortable, even a little bit painful at times. Though soon enough it was off and she was feeling okay again. Especially as Elliot started to put the lotion on. It was cooling and she could feel the magic in it start to soak into her skin. The lotion was working and that was all she really needed to known about it at that moment. "No, it's good." Azana murmured to him with a relaxed sigh.

Once she had found a way to keep her shirt settled firmly against the front of her body, Azana started to work on the other bandages that she could reach. As she pulled them off, Azana was careful, not wanting to feel too much pain from the bandages. Soon enough, all of her bandages were off.

Elliot nodded a little as she assured him that he wasn't hurting her, carefully massaging the lotion into her spine in the hopes that it would help her feel better before grabbing a rag to wipe the excess lotion off his hands before putting the bandages back down her back. Truth be told he could feel the lotion working it's magic from where it had lingered on his hands, which was nice but he didn't want to take her medicine when she needed it most.

"There, you're all set. I can help you get your shirt back on and help you with the other patches, if you'd like?" He offered, leaning over a bit so that he could offer her a little smile.
