Pretty Things & Evil Deeds

A thankful smile came over Azana's lips. "That sounds great. Thank you." She said quietly before making her way upstairs. Once in her home, Azana pulled out a tea pot and filled it with water before setting it down on the stove to heat up.

Once that was done, she made her way over to the couch to snuggle up under the blush colored throw blanket she had. It seemed that the moment she sat down, Azana realized how tired she really was.

Once Azana headed upstairs Elliot took a few minutes to gather the herbs and ingredients he'd need to make her tea before heading to the prepping station she had in the back to mix everything together. He was adding a few extra that would hopefully help boost whatever defences that Kendric had been weakening with his coffee, and he could only hope it would taste alright.

Once everything was prepared he headed upstairs with the vial of herbs, finding a tea sachet in one of her drawers to use, pouring the boiling water into her mug to let it steep before turning to lean back against the counter as he looked over at her with a little smile. "It needs to steep for a few minutes, I'll bring it over when it's done. And I mixed plenty of herbs for you to have a few cups, if you're still feeling bad later today or tomorrow." He explained, hoping she'd recover quickly.

As Elliot opened the door to her home, Azana shifted her glaze to him and watched as he worked in the kitchen to get a cup ready. Her head was resting against the side of the couch, her eyes were only half open. Part of her was ready to drift off right there and then but Azana would wait until she had gotten a sip of the tea first. After all, it seemed rude to fall asleep before she drank what Elliot had been kind enough to make for her. Plus, she was rather sure that it would help her to drink it in the long run.

"Thank you, that is really nice of you." Azana said gently as she smiled over at Elliot. Though slowly her head started to tuck into the blanket that was draped over her. "It already smells so good from here." A small hum left her before her eyes widen up a bit and her head turned more so towards him. "Do not forget that the shop is closed tomorrow. That means we both get a day off."

Elliot smiled over at her from the kitchen as she seemed about ready to drift off to sleep, putting a bit of honey in the tea as well to sweeten it up before bringing the mug over to her and setting it down on the coffee table. "There.. hopefully it's alright, and if you hate it please don't feel like you need to drink it." He assured her, reaching out to adjust her blanket around her a bit to make sure that she was comfortable.

He nodded when she reminded him that the shop was closed tomorrow, grinning a bit. "I'll make sure I enjoy it, although I expect you to be resting. I can come by if you need anything, too. My mom's old recipe for chicken noodle soup always made me feel better when I was sick. Plus, sometimes having company is nice too.. although I suppose you have Kendric for that."

As Elliot brought the tea over, she started to shift on the couch until she was sitting up and in a better position to actually drink the tea. "I am sure that it tastes fine." She assured him as she picked up the warm mug, wrapping both of her hands around it with a pleasant hum. Azana brought the tea to her lips and took a small sip, just wanting to taste it first, before she took a larger drink of it. Her eyes closed for a moment, pleased with the tea before lowering it and resting it against her knee.

"It's good," Azana reassured Elliot. Her whole body seemed to melt back into the couch, wanting to rest as much as she could at that current point in time. "I promise, no work for me tomorrow. I'll stay up here and sleep the day away," She told him with a smile. "I am sure that Kendric will come over and take care of me as well. He doesn't seem the type to be afraid of being sick. So I think I will be well taken care of so there is no need to worry. But if you wish to come by, then I will be happy to have to company."

Elliot smiled a little as she sipped the tea, seeming to relax a little as she said that it was good. "I'm glad that you think so. Like I said, I mixed enough herbs for you to have a few more cups, and I'd be happy to make you more if you want it." He offered with a small smile.

He chuckled a little as she promised not to work tomorrow and rest instead, although he frowned a bit as she mentioned Kendric coming over, giving a little nod. "I'll probably just stay home, try to rest a bit myself.. Although I would suggest you lay off the coffee, since it won't do much for you as far as resting goes." He smiled a little. He knew that Kendric could easily charm any other drink, even the tea he'd made, but luckily he'd placed his own spell on the tea to counter any of the effects of whatever Kendric was putting in there.

"Well it sounds like I will be good for the next two days at least." Azana told him with a huge smile on her face. She then brought the tea back to her lips to take another large drink before setting it down on the side table.

A soft hun left her as he mentioned taking a break from the coffee. "Perhaps you are right. At least until I am feeling better that is. Besides, I won't need the coffee since I'll be resting anyways." Azana wrapped her blanket a bit tigher around herself as she started to totally melt into the couch. "I hope you find something fun to do tomorrow."

Elliot chuckled a little and nodded, returning her smile. As she settled into the couch he reached over to help tuck her blanket around her, wanting to make sure that she was comfortable. "I'm sure I'll be alright tomorrow. I just hope you start to feel better. If you're not feeling better after tomorrow just text me and I'll be happy to run the shop for you so you can continue to rest. Plus, like I said I'll head down now to tidy up and replace some inventory here and there, so there's nothing for you to worry about except getting better."

He moved back away from her once she was settled, moving toward the door to downstairs. "I'll come back up and check on you once I'm done to let you know I'm headed out, but I hope you'll be asleep." He smiled before heading downstairs. He spent maybe an hour cleaning the shop, wanting everything to be spotless for when Azana next came down to see, and after replacing some inventory and putting the cleaning supplies away he headed back upstairs to check on her.

Azana let out a small laugh as Elliot started to tuck the blanket around her. "Thank you," She murmured as she laid her head on one of her couch pillows. "I am sure that I will be feeling well by then. I am not that sick, just a little under the weather and tired. But, very well, if I am still not feeling well then I will text you to run the shop for me. Thank you for offering, Elliot."

She watched him walk out of the room before settling down further into the couch. Though it was not long until Azana was fast asleep. Her face was pressed against the side of the pillow, the blanket was wrapped around her tight. She was a lot more tired than she had wanted to admit to Elliot. Especially since he was clearly already worried. But it was also clear to her that she needed to relax with how her flowers were, all closed up tightly.

Elliot smiled at her laugh, having to resist the urge to lean forward and press a kiss to her forehead, glad that she at least looked comfortable. "I'm just happy to know that you're comfortable and resting for the rest of the day." He smiled, nodding a little as she agreed to let him know if she still wasn't feeling well. "Alright. Feel free to reach out if you need anything, like I said I'm happy to help."

Elliot came upstairs after he'd finished cleaning to check on her, smiling a bit as he saw her sound asleep. Figuring she'd probably be more comfortable in her own room, he found her room and turned down the sheets on her bed before returning to the living room to lift her into his arms, carrying her to her room to tuck her into her bed.

As arms moved under Azana's body, she slowly started to stir, her body trying to get comfortable once again. Though when she was fully in Elliot's arms, she turned slightly until her face was buried into his chest. One hand reached out and lightly wrapped around his shirt. Having now found a comfortable position, she settled back down and slept peacefully against him.

Elliot smiled a little as Azana settled into his arms, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her head as he carried her to her room. Once there he carefully set her down on the mattress, gently making sure that she was comfortable as he worked on untangling her arm from around him. "Don't worry, Az, I'll stop bothering you after this and you can rest." He murmured soothingly, trying not to disturb her sleep too much.

As Elliot started to lay her down on the bed, Azana started to stir again. She let out a little whimper of displeasure until her body was settled back down into the mattress. Her fingers held onto his shirt for a moment but as Elliot worked to get them off, her grip lightened up. The woman was too deep into sleep to be woken up during Elliot’s careful and gentle moving of her. Though she did shift slightly in the bed once she was completely on it, her face now pressing against a pillow rather than his chest and her legs shifting slightly into a different position.

Elliot smiled a bit at her little whimper, finding her absolutely adorable. He wished he could just lay in bed with her and comfort her while she slept, but he knew that that would be crossing a line, especially with her having a boyfriend. Even if he was evil. Once she'd released him he straightened up, tucking the blankets around her carefully to make sure that she was comfortable before heading back to the kitchen to bring her a glass of water and some medicine for when she woke up, leaning down to press a kiss to her cheek before he left her apartment and headed home, making sure that the door to the shop was locked on his way out as well. Once home he sent her a text to remind her to let him know if she needed anything, and wishing her a speedy recovery on her day off.

By the time the next workday had come around, Azana was feeling better. Well, she was feeling kind of better. It seemed that she was having ups and downs yesterday. One second she would be exhausted and the next she would be feeling relatively okay. Though it was clear that a cup of tea and a nap was helping her with whatever bug she was fighting.

It left Azana in a bit of a weird place but since she was feeling okay in the morning, the young woman figured she would go ahead and start her day as normal. So she was downstairs, in the shop and getting ready for the upcoming day.

Elliot was anxious to get back to work so that he could see Azana, having spent his day off worrying about her and trying to dig up any information he could on her boyfriend. He'd found out that he had been hired by some local gang or crime ring, although he had no idea what for or what spell he was trying to perform. Whatever it was obviously involved Azana though, and until he'd made sure that she was safe and not in harms way he doubted he'd be able to sleep well at night.

He got to the shop early as usual, knocking on the door when he arrived and waiting for her to answer the door, smiling warmly when he did. "Good morning. Are you feeling better? You didn't text yesterday, which I took as a good sign, and it seems as though we're opening the shop today, so you must be feeling better." Truth be told she still looked a little out of it, especially since the flowers in her hair seemed a little wilted, but hopefully he could get her to drink another cup of tea which he could infuse with even more protective spells which would get her back on her feet.

A soft smile came over Azana's lips as she looked over at Elliot. She was glad to see him. In truth, although Azana was certainly not going to say it, she had missed him yesterday. "Feeling a bit better. Well, at times. I have just been having a lot of ups and downs. But since I am feeling okay right now, I figured that I would come down and do some work. Hopefully, it'll be a good day,"

Azana smiled gently at him before she moved back to cleaning the windows. The flowers in her hair were still rather rough looking. Not completely wilted but slowly heading that way. "I should thank you again for that tea, by the way. It really was the only thing yesterday that made me feel better. Well, that and a nap." Her eyes shifted back to look at Elliot for a long moment. "How was your day yesterday? I hope you were able to relax on your day off."

Elliot nodded a bit as she explained her ups and downs, having worried about that, but at the very least she was feeling better at times. "That's not the best news, but hopefully we'll get you cured in no time, and you'll be back to your usual bright self." He smiled as he came in, moving out back to put his things away, including a tupperware of chicken soup that he'd made for her in the hopes it would make her feel better, even adding some extra herbs to help boost her defenses without her knowing.

"I'd be happy to make you more, you know." Elliot offered as he came over the windows, holding his hands out to take the rag and cleaning solution from her to finish the windows since she was looking a little rough. "If you feel bad at any point today, you can go back to napping and drinking tea. I also made you some chicken soup that I put in the fridge out back that I hope will make you feel at least a little better." He said as he offered her a little smile. "My day was alright. I didn't do much other than inventory all of the herbs I have and start making a list of what I'll need to buy from here once I have enough money to do so. Could have been more relaxing, but I've never really been able to relax."

A little nod was what Azana provided as Elliot mentioned getting her cured in no time. She definitely did like the sound of that. Though she was growing worried that she would have to go visit a healer or doctor to resolve what was wrong with her, which Azana really did not want to do. At least, for now, it seemed more like a cold or something equivalent. Minor enough not to go in immediately but it was still kicking her ass a bit.

Her head lifted back up when Elliot walked back into the front of the store. A thankful smile came over her lips as he held out his hands for the window cleaning items, which she gave to him. "Thank you," Azana laid a hand on his shoulder for a moment before she stepped away and headed over to the till, just to count the money that was in there. "And I would really appreciate if you could make some more tea. It has been helping quite a bit and I am already a little low. Just use whatever herbs you need for it from the shop."

Azana leaned back into the chair behind the counter. "Thank you, Elliot, really. I am hoping I'll be okay today but I'll head upstairs if I need to. And chicken soup sounds delicious." She let out a little laugh. "Sounds like you were working away at home yesterday. And, speaking of money, payday is tomorrow."

"Of course." Elliot smiled down at her as she rested her hand on his shoulder before he turned his attention back to the windows, nodding as she requested more tea. "I can do that on my lunch break. I'd offer to teach you the recipe, but it's an old family secret, and I wouldn't want you stealing it and telling all your friends." He teased. It wasn't really a secret recipe, he just didn't want her to know he was charming it.

He nodded as she thanked him again, finishing with the windows and moving behind the counter to put the cleaning supplies away. "I'm hoping you'll be alright too, Az." He murmured softly, almost to himself, smiling a bit at her laughter. "I'm bad at resting. Never even had a vacation, if I'm being honest." He said, chuckling at the mention of payday. "Oh good. I'll just end up giving most of it back to you, though, when I buy more herbs. But I still appreciate it.'
