Maisie nodded in understanding. "Maybe if you just try talking with them? I know like it seems obvious, and somewhat pointless given that when we've tried to talk to them about the whole marriage thing they refuse to listen, but maybe just sitting down and trying to get them to understand.. I know it's easier said than done, but it might be worth a shot." She suggested, although she tensed up a bit as he asked about what her boyfriend had done to her, chewing on her lip nervously as she looked away. "He.. He had a temper, and wasn't afraid to take things out on me when he was angry or upset.. he also drank quite a bit later on in our relationship, and would do and say awful things when he was drunk and then in the morning apologize and pretend he'd be better when he was really just going to get shit faced again that night.. I'm glad I'm not with him anymore, but he left his mark on me, and sometimes I still have nightmares about it, even though I hate admitting it." She murmured softly. She wasn't really sure why she was telling him this, but it was nice to open up to someone, even if they weren't really friends.
"You're right.. Maybe they'll let us go, though, since maybe we can argue that we'll be more cooperative if they let us go out and do things. Especially if we say it's to get to know one another." She teased with a little laugh, shaking her head. She was quite for a few more minutes before she spoke again, glancing up at him nervously. "Would.. When we get back, would you come with me to the hospital when I go get my tests done..? If I say I have an appointment I know my parents will let me go no questions, so it might be a good excuse for you to get out and see the city a bit.."
