Orlando couldn’t wipe the smirk off his face as he met with Reynolds. He had known the man since he was a kid, having been his fathers lawyer before and now his own. Orlando wasn’t sure what he was going to do if he lost the man. Reynolds kept him out of plenty of trouble and not just with the police. He helped out with parts of the business side as well.

“I definitely got me a smart one.” He said as his smirk changed to a gentle smile only for a moment. Orlando nodded as the lawyer talked. He knew to keep his mouth shut and only answer things when he needed to. “You’re welcome to stay for dinner if you’d like, she’s a great chef.” He said and nudged the man back with a laugh. “Well I found it in one of the junk cars brought to me. We were breaking it apart for parts before we were gonna demolish the rest. Found it in the seat.” Orlando said and shrugged. “I was actually on the phone with my buddy who brought the car from his shop because they didn’t have room for it. Was asking him if he knew the owner of the car so I could return the weapon.” Orlando told Reynolds with a grin.

Orlando knew the glass was one way glass and the officers were going to be standing on the other side of it. He looked through the glass as if he could see through it and winked with a wicked grin on his face before his attention turned to Reynolds again. “You can check with Bruce, you can check my phone calls, and the junker car is still on my lot.” He said with a laugh. “Could we work on getting these cuffs off of me, I’m a big guy with big wrists and they’re a little tight.” Orlando said as he turned his wrists uncomfortably in the cuffs.

Mr. Reynolds started to nod as Orlando went into his story about how he found the gun. Everything that he had just said was perfect. The officers wouldn't be able to prove that it was not the truth, which meant that they should be able to get out of there with relative ease. "Sounds like an unfortunate situation that we just need to get cleared up." He patted Orlando on the shoulder before getting on his feet. "Let me grab someone for the cuffs, no need to have them on a non violent suspect, right? And I'll grab the chief of police. No need to deal with the suckers who brought you in."

A chuckle left the man as he knew he just insulted the guys who were probably listening in from the other side of the window. "I'll be back," With that, Mr. Reynolds left the room.

It was not too long later than the man came back with an older bald gentleman with a short white beard. The man was wearing a suit and was clearly the chief of police for that particularly police station.

"Mr. Burton, I would like you to meet Chief of police, Henry Thompson. He is going to clear up this mess for us today. Just a simple misunderstanding, Henry, I can assure you. Now first, can you please take the cuffs off my client for questioning. It really is unnecessary." Mr. Reynolds said.

Henry, who seemed a bit agitated, headed over and uncuffed Orlando before moving back to the other side of the table. "My men told me that they found you with an unregistered firearm, care to explain that?" The man asked.

Mr. Reynolds motioned for Orlando to answer the question, knowing that Orlando would go into the story he had already given.

Orlando waited patiently after he watched Reynolds leave the room. He knew he would have to explain this whole schtick to Rosemary. But he also thought this might help her see that it wasn’t as dangerous to be involved as she believed: there was more danger from the other gang than the police, especially with Orlando having a handful of cops on his payroll.

When Reynolds and the Chief returned Orlando stood up, nodding in acknowledgement. “Hello sir.” He said politely as he held his hands out to be uncuffed. Once his wrists were free he rubbed them gently, frowning at the slight ring around them from how tight they’d been locked on him.

Orlando sat again and looked to the Chief for a moment. “Well, sir, I own an auto shop by the docks. We fix cars, sell them, demolish the junkers y’know.” He began to explain. My buddy Bruce didn’t have any room for a junk car on his lot so he brought it to me. We were going through the car to get parts out of it before we were gonna toss it in the crusher. I found the gun and called Bruce because I don’t know who’s car this used to be or anything. I was actually on the phone just before your two men showed up. I simply didn’t have time to do anything else because I was dragged here.” He explained and put on his picture perfect smile for the older gentleman.

Orlando had grown up being taught exactly how to act, what to say, what not to say, and how to deal with law enforcement from the time he could walk and talk. He had been around Reynolds his entire life as well. He was protected in more than one way when it came to law enforcement and his dangerous life.

The chief was quiet for a moment after he heard Orlando's story before he turned to the one way window, giving a look to the men on the other side of it. Henry then turned back, looking at Mr. Reynolds and Orlando before letting out a sigh. "We are going to give Bruce a call then. Give me his number." The chief pushed the paper towards Orlando for him to write down the number. Once Orlando had done so, Henry was out of the room.

Mr. Reynolds, however, was quickly texting Bruce via his burner to tell him what to say, keeping his hands and phone under the table as he did so before sliding the phone back into his sock. The man then leaned back into the chair, starting to relax. "This call might take a while." He told Orlando. "Just sit tight.

About 30 minutes later, the chief came back into the room, looking as annoyed as ever. He glanced over at Orlando, a long moment of silence falling over him as he met the man's eyes. But finally, after a moment, he sighed. "You're free to leave."

Orlando nodded, quickly jotting down the man’s number. Orlando knew the situation would be handled. Even if Reynolds hadn’t been able to coach the man, he was loyal and if he knew the police were involved he’d say anything to help Orlando out. Bruce was a family friend even if not involved directly with the gang.

Orlando leaned back in his seat, propping his feet up on the table and laced his hands behind his head. “I’ve got all day, Reynolds, and you’re paid by the hour.” He joked snd laughed heartily. Orlando felt just so smug knowing he had already one. His eyes stayed on the glass window. Though he couldn’t see the officers behind it, he couldn’t stop smirking knowing they were watching him.

Orlando raised an eyebrow as he saw the Chief enter again, the smirk just growing as the words fell from the Chief’s mouth. “Thank you sir.” He said as he got up. “If you guys ever need some new cruisers, come by the shop why don’t you?” Orlando said to the Chief as he pat his hand on the older man’s shoulder as he walked past. Orlando stepped outside and into the hall, smirking and winking at the officers who arrested him as he headed outside with Reynolds.

Once outside the station, Orlando looked to Reynolds and his face dropped to an almost emotionless expression, but a slight hint of annoyance. “Alright let’s get me home. You can meet my dear Rosemary. And we can figure out who’s head I need to bash in.” His voice had returned to its deeper and huskiest tone, much less cheery than it had been interacting with the officers. Orlando went with Reynolds to his car, sliding easily into the passengers seat.

Rosemary was pacing nervously throughout the house as she waited for some kind of news about what was going on with Orlando. But no one at the shop seemed to know why he was taken in. They were just as lost as she had been about the situation. She had made one of the swear to her that they would call her the moment they knew what was going on with Orlando. Though her nerves had gotten her and Rosemary ended up calling them again a few more times just to know if they had heard anything. She was sure she was annoying them but she was scared.

Today was just the worst day. First the situation with Vincent, which made her want to bawl her eyes out and then Orlando getting thrown in jail, which just made Rosemary fill up with anxiety. She was sure she was freaking out Hades with her mood swings. Actually, she knew she was because she had caused the poor dog to whimper on the couch twice... But what else was she meant to do? One second, Charlotte was pacing nervously, the next she would be sitting on the couch, sobbing to herself. Then there was the high stress pacing and crying.

Rosemary was just too emotional and she needed to calm down at least one of them. Tensions were high so how was she going to release that? Her fingers twitched. Maybe she should break something? She felt like she needed to break something.

Her hand moved up into her hair, pulling on it before she forced her fingers to relax. The woman let out a frustrated growl before grabbing one of the magazines Orlando had. She fell back onto the couch and started to work on tearing all the pages out.

Orlando was texting some of his boys through the car ride home, mostly annoyed by the inconvenience this situation had caused him. But at the end of the day there was a reason Reynolds was one of the highest paid people under Orlando. He got him out of every sticky situation easily.

When the men arrived at Orlando’s house he invited Reynolds in to meet a rosemary. His heart dropped for a moment as he remembered their last encounter and how sad she had been. He knew he had to make it up to Rosemary as this definitely hadn’t made that any better.

Orlando hurried up the front stairs and opened the door. “Rose!” He called out, a smile on his lips. “I’m back and better than ever.” He purred as the man moved towards the living room. He saw Rosemary destroying a magazine and raised an eyebrow. Though he drives against questioning it. Orlando moved over to her and sat besides Rosemary, wrapping his arms around her and hugging her tight to his chest. “Nothing happened, I’m okay. I’ve got the best lawyer in the state.” He purred and kissed her forehead

Rosemary's head shot up when she heard Orlando at the door. Though the anxiety that she had felt only went away when she actually saw him walking into the living room. "Orlando!" She cried out happily, leaning her whole body into the hug. She shook the magazine off of her lap, allowing it to fall to the ground with the ripped up pages. "I was so worried. How did you get out? Are you okay? Why did they bring you in?"

"That is a lot of questions, miss," Mr. Reynolds said as he walked into the room with a gentle smile on his face. "There is no need to worry though. I got him out of there scotch free and it's all taken cared of. To the point where Orlando here told me a bit about you."

Rosemary leaned away from Orlando as a stranger suddenly came into the room. Though she listened as he spoke and nodded a bit when he assured her that everything was taken cared of. "Thank you then, for taking care of Orlando."

Orlando laughed as Rosemary began to pester him with questions. He couldn’t describe how happy this woman made him. His eyes lit him as he looked at her snd he couldn’t wipe the goofy smile off his face as he embraced her.

Orlando felt Rosemary pull away as Reynolds came in, instinctively pulling her back to him. He placed a kiss on her temple. This was someone he felt he could let loose in front of so he had no worries. Orlando laughed at Reynolds words. “I know usually it’s not my associates asking the questions huh?” He retorted to the man and laughed. Orlando grabbed Rosemary’s hand and stood up. He led her over to Reynolds.

“Rose this is Mr. Reynolds he’s my attorney, he was my dads attorney as well. I’ve known the man since I was a kid. And he has always known how to get me out of trouble.” He said with a grin. As the couple stood before the lawyer,
Orlando allowed his arm to slide around her waist and he held her close. “Even if I’ve needed some coaching from time to time.” He laughed lightly.

“I invited him over for dinner, if you’re still interested man.” He said as he glanced down at Rosemary then back up to the lawyer. “I just wanted him to meet the woman I love. I mean, you’re smart baby you knew exactly what to do.” He told her as Orlando moved slightly away from Rose. “I didn’t even know he was there until he was literally in the room with me.” Orlando paused as a thought came to his head. “Oh by the way.” Orlando said and moved over to the coffee table and reached down underneath it. He grabbed a cellphone he had taped to the bottom and tossed it to Reynolds. “I know I’m a pain in your ass but I need the information from that phone made into a file that I can keep at work. And I know your secretary does such a good job of that.” The man said and and almost wicked grin spread across his lips. He wasn’t necessarily bragging but he wanted to show Rosemary how far his power spread, the reach he had.

Once Orlando pulled her back into his side, Rosemary relaxed slightly with the stranger in the house. Not that she wasn't friendly but she had a Hell of a day and she had no clue who he was. As Mr. Reynolds spoke, Rosemary reached up to her face, wiping away any evidence that she had been crying. Though her eyes were still a bit puffy, there was nothing she could really do about that.

Feeling Orlando's hand slide into hers, Rosemary squeezed his hand and followed him up onto her feet. They walked over to Mr. Reynolds, and Rosemary smiled gently at him. "Well, thank you for getting him out of trouble so quickly. You must be very good at your job if Orlando likes you this much." She joked warmly. Leaning into his side, she laid her head on Orlando's shoulder - at least until Orlando started to move around the room.

Mr. Reynolds caught the phone that Orlando tossed over to him. He glanced it over for a moment before putting it into his pocket. "I'll take care of that for you. Might take a day or two though as I think my secretary is out tomorrow... or is that next week." The man gave a little shrug. "You'll have it in the next three days. And I would love to stay for dinner and get to know your girlfriend better." Mr. Reynolds looked over at Rosemary with a huge grin on his face. "Orlando told me that you're a great cook."

Rosemary let out a soft laugh and offered a nod. "Yes, he would say that. Well I'm happy to have you stay, though it may take some time as I haven't started anything."

"Don't worry about the time. I have to make some calls anyways since this guy made me cancel all of my afternoon meetings." He motioned to Orlando with a laugh. "I'll be in the backyard if you need me." With that, Mr. Reynolds headed out to make a few phone calls.

Rosemary took Orlando's hand into hers, holding onto it tightly as she lead him into the kitchen with her. "So what happened exactly? Why were you taken to the station?"

Orlando grinned as the two interacted. He hoped that easing Rosemary into his life would better help her adjust to it. And if he introduced her to the least scary people first that would also help sooth her nerves. Orlando nodded and gave a wave as the man left.

Orlando glanced down at Rosemary as they walked into the kitchen. “Someone anonymously reported a suspicious man with a gun at my shop.” He said and frowned slightly. Orlando sat down at the table and watched Rosemary as he moved around the kitchen. “I mean I did have a gun, but I never took it out. It was hidden on my ankle. There’s no way anyone saw it. And those pigs will take any reason they have to arrest me and get more dirt on the gang or something.” He said and shrugged. “Just stupid bullshit. But nothing Reynolds and I can’t get out of. I’m like Teflon baby, shit slides right off me.”

Orlando laughed softly and tapped his fingers on the table for a moment. “I take it things didn’t go well with Vincent from what little conversation we were able to have?” He asked and glanced up at Rosemary.

A little sigh left Rosemary as she heard Orlando's story. Well... it certainly could have been much worse so she was glad to hear that it was a charge that Orlando was able to get out of easily. Her head turned back and she looked at him for a moment. "I am just glad that you were able to get out without any issue..." Her head turned back to focus on the meal she was cooking. "It seems like you have a pretty good lawyer then." She wondered if it was true. If Orlando really could get out of any charge. This just made her nervous though. "Any idea on who reported you? Maybe someone saw the outline of it while they were walking by and freaked out."

At the mention of her brother, Rosemary reached up and rubbed the temple of her head. "No. I would definitely say that it did not." She told Orlando as she walked over and set down a cutting board and some vegetables in front of him. Rosemary leaned down and pressed a light kiss to his head before she went back to the counter to work on seasoning the beef. "We didn't even get to order our meal, Orlando. Vincent was so upset. Honestly, I should just be happy he didn't actually start yelling at me in the middle of the restaurant... I knew he wasn't going to be happy so I don't really know what I was expecting."

Rosemary let out a small sigh. "I know he's just worried. And I tried to explain it to him but Vincent thinks I have lost my mind a bit - or you brainwashed me. It's going to be okay, I just have to wait until he sees that. I just hope in the meantime, he doesn't do something stupid like tell our parents. I mean, they'll find out at some point but I rather not him tell them."
