"Hm? Oh, yes." Eleanor responded, his question pulling her away from her thoughts as she turned her attention to him instead of staring out the window. She hated him for hating her, and wished more than anything that his feelings for her would change, but she knew it was of little use. When they'd first started dating she had had a crush on him, and he'd liked her enough to give it a shot, but when he'd revealed to her that he was only dating her for the fame and the money and publicity it brought him after the rumors of him cheating had come out she'd lost all hope that he'd ever feel the same about her. And despite how badly he'd hurt her over the years, she couldn't help but still love him on some level, even if she hated him for it. Once out of the limo she put on her usual adoring smile as she looked up at him, reaching up to adjust his bow tie and smooth out his jacket as she always did before following him down the red carpet for photos. She wasn't nearly as concerned with fame and fortune like he was, but she had to play the part as an actress, since she wouldn't get anywhere if she didn't at least pretend to care about the money.
When the small talk ended and the movie finally started she allowed her thoughts to wander again, trying to imagine what her life would be like if everything had gone the way she wanted. She'd star in movies and plays that actually meant something to her, not just the ones her agent said would be good for her image, and Thomas would love her. She was once again pulled from her thoughts at his words, tensing a bit as she dug her nails into her arm to keep from shoving him, knowing it would be bad for both of them if anyone found out the truth about their relationship. When the movie was finally over she stood with him, smoothing out her
gown before looking up at him as she waited for him to take the lead.
