Eleanor frowned as he hurried after her, looking at him with watery eyes as he said that they could make it work, that he didn't want it to end. "That's what you said before.. But let's be honest, Thomas, it ended a long time ago, and we've just been idiots trying to pretend otherwise." She looked away, wiping at her eyes. "I... I'm not happy anymore, Thomas. I haven't been for nearly a year. Every day I have to get up and pretend that I'm happy so the world doesn't find out I'm not, and I have to put up with all the awful jabs that come from you, and I just.. Everything feels hopeless, all the time, and I just want a chance to try to feel normal again." She looked defeated as she spoke, and it was easy to tell just how miserable she was.

Thomas frowned as he listened to Eleanor speak. It took all he could inside him not to just yell and fight like he was so used to. “Stop treating me like this is all my fault and I’m such a bad guy!” He shouted, tears brimming in his eyes. He bit his lip and looked at his feet. “What can I do to get you to stay, Elle?” He asked quietly, his eyes moving up to meet hers again. “I care about you, I don’t want you to be miserable here, I was you, I want us to be happy.” He told her honestly. “Please, what can I do?” He murmured. “I don’t wanna lose you.”

Eleanor flinched as he shouted, shaking her head quickly. "I'm not trying to blame you, Thomas. It's just as much my fault that things are like this, it's my fault that I can't just suck it up and be happy like I should be, and I hate myself for hurting you like I have, a-and I know I deserve to be this miserable, but I just can't take it anymore." She wept, sitting down on the steps as she buried her face in her hands, shaking her head as he asked what he could do. "I-I don't know anymore, Thomas.. I-I just don't know anymore."

Thomas sighed, he was angry and confused and completely unaware of how to react anymore. When Eleanor sat, Thomas sat besides her, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her to him. "I'm sorry." He murmured. "What if we see someone, like a couples therapist? Or we go on vacation and get away from this all. Get away from the stress." He offered. Thomas wasn't sure what to say or do, but he wanted to keep Eleanor from leaving.

As Thomas pulled her into his arms Eleanor curled into him, sobbing weakly into his chest as he held her close. She could only nod at his suggestions to see a couples therapist or go on vacation to get away from everything, hoping that maybe those things would help, although truth be told she couldn't help but worry things were too late for them. "O-Ok..." She sniffled, wiping at her eyes uselessly as she leaned against him, doing her best to calm down so she'd be steady enough to get up and go to her room for the rest of the day.

Thomas held Eleanor close, he felt a mixture of awkward, nervous, and relieved to be holding her. He just hoped she could calm down and they could talk and she would stay. He kissed the top of her head just before Eleanor started to speak. “It’ll be okay.” He murmured. “Let me get you a glass of water, stay here.” He told her, wiping her tears before he made his way to the kitchen, filling a glass of water and returning. Thomas sat besides Eleanor and handed over the glass, then wrapping one arm around her shoulders.

Eleanor murmured a soft "thank you" as he gave her the glass of water, settling back into his side once he sat back down next to her and wrapped his arm around her. She remained quiet as she sipped her water and forced herself to calm down, clearing her throat a bit and wiping her eyes once she'd finished drinking, glancing up at him. "Thank you again.. I can just go to my room now, leave you be for the rest of the day.." She murmured, standing up slowly after a moment and offering him a weak smile.

Thomas nodded, just watching Elanor. He wasn't sure what to do. This was strange to him. He really only knew just to hold her and hope things improved. "No, no don't go." He murmured, his hand rubbing her arm. "We can go to the master bedroom and relax together or we could chill in the living room." He told her nervously. "I don't want you to be alone right now." He murmured again, kissing her forehead.

Eleanor frowned as he insisted she stay or join him in his room, shaking her head a little. "I'm not sure, Thomas.. I just.. I never leave your room feeling good about myself." She confessed softly, looking down at her feet sheepishly, wiping at her eyes again. She didn't even know the last time she'd been in there, but she knew whenever they ended up in bed together it was in his room, and he always ended up kicking her out rather rudely.

Thomas frowned slightly as she seemed to push him away. “Elle, if we are gonna fix this you can push me away. We’ve gotta work to bond and trust each other.” He told her and took Eleanor’s hands. He gave them a squeeze and looked her in the eye. “Please, I promise I’m not going to push you away, yell, kick you out, anything. Just us, just relaxing.” He said and took a few deep breaths. This was strange for him. He just wanted to say the right thing. He didn’t want to lose whatever this was.

Eleanor frowned as he spoke, hating how sad he sounded. She hesitated a few moments before nodding, giving his hands a small squeeze. "O-Ok.." She murmured, pulling one of her hands back so she could wipe the fresh tears that had started to fall away. She really did love him, and she wanted to be with him, but only if he was going to change for the better, and she knew she had to at least give him a chance to do so.

Thomas moves his hand and and used his thumb to gently wipe away tears. He gave a smile and stood up, taking her hand again as he lead her back towards his bedroom. “Actually go change into something comfortable.” He said and gave Eleanor a smile. “Suits and dresses aren’t good for laying down and relaxing.” He said and laughed. Thomas let her go off and moved to the room, himself changing into comfortable sweatpants a big tee shirt.

Eleanor nodded at his instructions to change into something more comfortable, agreeing that wearing her costume and makeup from their set wasn't the best for relaxing. She took about ten minutes to wash her face and brush out her hair and change into her usual pajamas of a long sleeved tee shirt and pajama shorts before she headed to Thomas' room, hesitating outside the door for a few moments before knocking softly, waiting until he'd given her the ok to come in before entering.

“You don’t have to knock, I already invited you.” He said teasingly, smiling when Eleanor came in. Thomas was already laying in bed. He held an arm open for her and when Eleanor laid besides him, he pulled her body close to his. “Wanna watch a movie or something?” He asked and smiled, then biting his lip. Thomas was nervous. He still wasn’t sure how he felt.

"Sorry.. I'm just not used to being allowed in here.." Eleanor murmured softly, moving over to climb into bed with him, relaxing a bit as he pulled her closet and she tugged the blankets around her. She shrugged a bit when he asked about watching a movie, shaking her head after a moment. "You can watch something if you want.. I just want to sleep.." She admitted softly, stifling a yawn.

Thomas nodded, he understood. Of course he did , he was the cause of the tension. It was different having Eleanor in here. Usually she was just in here when they had sex after an argument, but this was different. He just wanted to relax and allow the tension to leave his body. “Okay sweetie, nap.” He said and kissed the back of her head as he began to relax. Thomas pulled the blanket up around him. He grabbed the remote and turned the TV on, turning the volume down so it was just background noise.

Eleanor curled up under the blankets, blinking sleepily as she settled into the mattress. She nodded a bit as he told her to nap, letting out a tired sigh as she shut her eyes, doing her best to relax and drift off to sleep. It was only about ten minutes before she was asleep, her face tucked into his chest and her blanket tugged around her.

Thomas wasn’t paying much attention to what was on the television. He was just having it in the background as he laid with Eleanor. When she was asleep he looked down at her and smiled. He enjoyed this. Thomas decided to nap too. He rolled into his side and wrapped his arm around her as he allowed himself to drift off to sleep as well.

Eleanor curled into his arms a bit once he wrapped his arms around her, sleeping soundly despite how nervous she'd been to come in here. She'd never slept in his bed before, let alone spent the night, so it was odd to be here like this with him, but it was also sort of nice. It was a few hours before she started to wake, stirring slightly as she stretched before letting her eyes flutter open slowly.

Thomas had rolled over into his back as he slept, his mouth slightly open and snoring quietly. He was a deep sleeper, so Eleanor could probably shove him off the bed and he would stay asleep. He felt safer sleeping besides someone so she had helped him fall into a deeper sleep.
