"The x-ray we did shows that whatever hit you is no longer in the wound, which means that I'm happy to stitch you up and send you home in the capable hands of your husband," the doctor told them with a smile, "If you do have any problems though, make sure you come back or seek medical attention immediately."

"I will," Cady agreed, grimacing as he removed the bandage that Dean had put on, "How long will it take to heal?"

"That depends on how active you are, I would suggest rest and light exercise for at least two weeks."

Sam was exhausted by the time they got back to Bobby's and didn't have the energy to argue about staying there the night, but he took the time to fill Dean in.

Bobby's fine, a little banged up but nothing he hasn't experienced before... where are you?

Dean nodded his head, "I assure you doctor, she'll rest." Dean told him seeing him leave. "you are going to listen to the doctor now." Dean warned.

Seeing the text he took and replied back, Helping the girl from the bar. She's going to be join us. Glad Bobby's ok. See you in the morning.

Jessie looked at Dean once she had her dad settled, "Everything ok with Dean?" Jessie questioned grabbing them a beer and popping the tops off as she lent back into the counter behind her.

Not likely Cady thought to herself, grimacing as she readjusted her top and slipped on her jacket. She'd been worse off and carried on fighting, so this wasn't going to slow her down.

"Yeah, he's helping a girl that we met at a bar," Sam told her, noticing the disbelieving look on her face and chuckling, "That's what I thought originally, but something about this feels different... he's acting differently towards her."

Dean shook his head, "I can tell you are going to disobey what the doctor said. You are just like my stubborn ass." Dean groaned as he saw the nurse bring her discharge papers.

"Like he's in love?" Jessie sipped her beer. "I don't even remember Dean ever caring about someone. Other than himself. The impala. Or you." Jessie admitted. "Well there's my dad too but you know what I mean." Jessie laughed softly.

"Then you'll know exactly how I feel about sitting around doing nothing," Cady said, "I've never been good at doing nothing."

It was true, she had never been someone to just sit around and she wasn't planning on starting now. There were still things that she could do, research and weapon upkeep.

"I don't know about love, but he definitely seems compelled to help her and it's worrying," Sam stated, before shaking his head and laughing, "Maybe he's picked a demon for once..."

Dean looked at her laughing softly, "Yes, I get it." Dean told her as he helped her up and smiled. "Let's go to my friend's house and try to get some rest." Dean smiled at her.

Jessie looked at Sam, "Let's hope it isn't a demon." Jessie smiled at him finishing her beer off.

"Erm... I'm not very good with new people," Cady admitted, scolding herself again for being so open and slipping on her jacket, "It's why I hunt alone."

"Let's," Sam replied with a chuckle, downing the rest of his beer and heading to his room to rest.

Dean looked at her, "We don't have to be around them. But we need a place to sleep tonight." Dean told her honestly.

Jessie sighed to herself as she took and frowned. She walked onto the porch sitting down in a chair. Feeling the sharp pain rip through her head. She gripped to it sighing. Seeing her dad sitting beside of her she handed him a beer. "I tell you, dad. I am worried." She whispered.

"About the pains?" Bobby asked.

Nodding her head, "What if it's true? I can't deal." Jessie frowned.

"I'll be fine at a motel," Cady told him as they headed out of the exit, pausing as the cold night air hit her and involuntarily shivering.

Sam couldn't sleep, so he laid on his bed staring at the ceiling and wondered what Dean was doing. As much as his brother annoyed him, he hated being apart and shook his head at how stupid it was.

There was a time when he wanted nothing to do with the supernatural world, but times had changed and now... now he couldn't see his life without hunting in it. They had a destiny, one that neither of them wanted or asked for, but it was one that they had both accepted.

Dean shook her head, "I don't think you will." Dean looked at her. "Cady you almost died in the motel room cause something attacked you. IF it makes you feel better, we can stay at a motel near and i'll text my brother letting him know." Dean told her.

Going inside after a while. Jessie knocked on Sam's door. Hearing his voice she pushed the door open, "Do you need anything before I lay down?" Jessie questioned him with a small smile.

"No, it's fine," Cady mumbled, not wanting to keep Dean from his brother and fighting back the fear that suddenly crept over her, "Can we drop by and pick up my stuff first?"

"I'm fine thank you," Sam said as Jessie poked her head around the door, offering her a smile and pulling out his phone, "I'm just going to check in with Dean."

Dean nodded his head, "We can." Dean told her as he removed his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "C'mon." Dean smiled at her.

Jessie nodded her head, "Good night." Jessie told him before disappearing and going to the living room. Curling up on the sofa she grabbed the book and began flipping through it sighing as she tied her hair into a messy bun ontop of her head.

"Thanks," Cady said as she followed him towards his Impala, climbing in the passenger seat and keeping her gaze on the scenery outside the window. The strange thing about the whole situation, apart from her being in a car with a complete stranger, was that she trusted him and felt safe in his presence.

The supernatural world wasn't for the faint-hearted and she had struggled with it for a long time, but everything she did had an impact on someone else's life. whether it be a ghost or a vampire, she had the ability to help people... to save people.

Sam stared at the door where Jessie had been standing moments before and sighed, dropping his head back on the pillows. He wanted her... had done for a long time, but, just like Dean, she had never really been one for settling down and he didn't know how to bring it up.

With his phone in his hand, he pulled up a new text and began to type.

Dude, where are you? Are you planning on coming back tonight?

Pulling into the vacant parking lot, Dean took and got out. Walking around he took and looked at her and smiled as he helped her out. Following her into the room he took and smiled at her.

Jessie took and laid the book down sighing to herself. She had wanted Sam for so long. But knew he was with Jessica, and she didn't want to come between them. Rubbing her arm she frowned a little sighing to herself as she looked around the dim lit living room.

Cady grimaced as she bent down to pick up her duffel bag, making sure that everything was in it and retrieving the blade from under her pillow. She had a few things in the bathroom and some clothes on the chair, which she chucked into the bag.

"What about my truck?" Cady inquired, not wanting to leave her dad's truck behind.

Unable to sleep, Sam got up and made his way downstairs to make himself some coffee. Noticing the lamp on in the living room, he quietly made his way to the door and leaned against the doorframe as he spotted Jessie on the sofa.

"Hey," he said, chuckling slightly as she jumped and nearly fell onto the floor, "I'm going to make myself a drink, do you want anything?"

"Think you can drive it?" Dean questioned. "If you can. I will follow behind you in case anything happens." Dean told her.

"Coffee would be nice." Jessie smiled at him. "I can help." She pushed the blanket off of her pulling her cami tank down as she got up pulling her shorts down some as she smiled at Sam. "What has you up and not sleeping?" She smiled going into the kitchen with him.

"I can drive, you'll have to put your friends address into my satnav... it'll be a bit hard for me to lead if I don't know where we're going," Cady commented, taking one last look around the dank motel room and heading out to her truck.

"It's going to sound stupid, but I'm worried about Dean... I guess we've just been hunting together so long that it's weird when we're apart," Sam admitted with a shrug, putting the kettle onto boil and sorting out cups, "It's like one of my limbs is missing."

Dean took and punched in Bobby's address as he took and looked at her. "I am right behind you. Anything feels weird. Tap your brake lights twice. I'll get into gear and do whatever I can to prevent it." Dean promised her.

Jessie smiled, "I am the same way with dad." Jessie told him. "I am sure Dean is fine, though. He's probably on his way here with the girl he's helping." Jessie told him honestly. "Just a hunch I have." She saw Sam's face and smiled at him.

With a nod, Cady climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine. Once Dean was in the Impala, she carefully pulled out onto the road and headed towards Sioux Falls.

"I'm sure he is, truth is, you just want to see the girl that his helping and figure out what's with her," Sam stated with a grin.

Dean drove behind her and sighed. He had his suspicions onto what attacked her. But the question was why? Was she a target, or was she linked to it? Grabbing his phone he took and called Sam letting him know they were almost there.

Rolling her eyes Jessie smacked Sam, "That too. I mean you we three always protected each other till we got older. So yeah, excuse me if I am cautious." Jessie poked her tongue out. "I got this go see what Mr. Dean wants." She winked going to fix the rest of the coffee.
