Rise Above The Storm

"I'm fine," Addison mumbled, noticing the look on Lauren's face and knowing that feeling all too well. She had had the worst case of sickness when she was pregnant with seb and although it wasn't nice, the end result was definitely worth it. With Seb tucked in her arms, she looked up as Brian spoke and smiled, "Thanks."

Dom watched Addison closely, seeing the way her eyes darted around the crowd of people and her hold on little Seb tightened slightly. It would get easier for her and they would both be safe, which was the most important thing. "Are you okay?" Dom asked Lauren as she re-emerged, putting his arm around her shoulders and kissing her head.

Brian smiled at her, "You're welcome." Brian told her with a smile as he looked at her. "Do you need anything?" He questioned.

"I feel like crap." Lauren admitted as she sighed taking a sip of the water. "Everything is coming up." She looked up at him frowning. "Tomorrow morning we have an appointment." She whispered so only he could hear her.

"A bottle of water would be great," Addison answered as she approached Lauren and whispered quietly in her ear, "Food and drinks with ginger in really helped settle my sickness, if you were looking for remedies."

Dom couldn't help but smile at the way Addison immediately wanted to help and it was appreciated, especially since she had been through it. "How old is, Seb?" he inquired, wanting to get to know both Addison and her son.

"Three weeks," Addison replied, retrieving her phone as it began to ring in her pocket and quickly turning it off.

"Thank you." Lauren smiled at her. "Ginger ale seems to be my best friend at the moment, when I can hold it down." She smiled as she looked at Seb. "Can I hold him?" Lauren smiled at Addison as she saw Brian return with the water.

"You're welcome," Addison replied, hesitating momentarily and nodding in response, "Sure."

After Seb was born, her mom had pretty much taken him away from Addison and refused to let her go near him. She was scared of losing him again, but something deep down told her that Lauren and everyone currently around her could be trusted.

"He is so cute." Lauren smiled cradling the little boy in her arms. "I promise you one thing, Addison. You or little Seb won't be harmed ever again." Lauren looked at her with a smile as she handed him back to Addison before smiling. "You're safe, I promise." Lauren said looking at Dom as she rested her hand on his chest and lent into him.

"That you are." Brian smiled at Addison and the little baby. "Both of you." He promised.

With a smile, Addison nodded and ducked her head as tears rolled down her cheeks. There was a time when she thought that she would never get away from her mom and kevin, but here, in that moment, she knew that it was her chance at a fresh start.

"Okay, how about for today we have some family time and then we'll discuss everything properly tomorrow," Dom suggested as he kissed Lauren's head with a smile, "Come and meet the rest of the pack."

After a while of introducing Addison to everyone, Lauren smiled as she looked up at Dom. "Do you want to announce it now?" Lauren smiled at her fiancé as she rubbed her side feeling a sudden pain shoot through. "Ow." She whispered as she sighed heavily feeling sick again.

Making the bottle like Addison had instructed him too. He shook it and walked over handing it to her as he smiled. "There is the big fella's bottle." He smiled at her.

"Thanks," Addison mumbled, ignoring her phone for the third time and focusing solely on Seb as he drank his bottle, "I think momma needs to get a new phone."

"I think it's a perfect time," Dom told her with a smile.

"Hey I have an extra phone. This deal I got it comes with two if you want it." Brian smiled at her.

Lauren smiled as she saw Dom getting everyone's attention. "Dom and I would like to announce. That we are expecting a little Toretto in the next few months." Lauren smiled at them.

"That would be great," Addison agreed, "I'll pay you for it."

Dom grinned as Lauren made the announcement, chuckling as Mia squealed and threw herself at Dom.

"Congratulations," she stated as she hugged Lauren as well.

"Don't worry about it." Brian smiled nodding towards Dom. "Congrats you two." Brian smiled.

Lauren laughed hugging Mia before leaning into Dom. She watched everyone and smiled making her way in sicker than a dog to her stomach. "Not again." Lauren whispered rushing for the bathroom.

Dom sighed as Lauren rushed off to the bathroom again, wishing that there was something he could do and knowing that there wasn't anything. All he could really do was be there and he would be, every step of the way.

Addison sighed as her phone vibrated, picking it up and seeing a text message from Kevin. Not wanting to see what he had to say, she didn't bother clicking on it and deleted it. "Hey Brian," Addison said quietly as she approached him, "Could you help me get Seb's pushchair from the car?"

Brian nodded his head, "Sure." Brian told her as he walked out with her and got it out and set it up and smiled at her. "There you are." Brian told her.

Lauren emerged about thirty minutes later. Walking over to Dom she frowned a little, "I feel like crap." She mumbled sipping the ginger ale.

Addison smiled in thanks, setting Seb in it and putting his blanket over him. She never thought that she'd have this, the freedom to be a mom and do things her way.

"Is that normal?" Dom inquired with a frown, "Should we maybe get you checked out?"

Brian smiled at her as he walked with her, "SO do you need any help with your things being taken up to the apartment." Brian inquired.

"I have no idea." Lauren admitted. "I think I am going to lay down. If the gang won't get mad." She looked at Dom giving him a peck.

"Of course they won't get mad," Dom reassured her, "I'll be up soon to check on you."

"There isn't much, I just packed what I needed and anything that Seb would need," Addison told Brian with a frown, "I'll use the money that I win on races to buy everything else."

Brian looked at her, "I don't mind to help you. I have extra cash. We could go get everything you need right now and the rest could wait to later." Brian looked at her.

Lauren nodded her head disappearing. Going up to their room. She pushed the door up and laid in the bed sighing. Feeling tired and nausea she laid there listing to the party going on downstairs.

"That would be great, especially for Seb... but I'm paying you back," Addison told Brian, not wanting to be some sort of charity case, "I just want Seb to have everything that I didn't... I want his life to be better."

Dom was worried, he had no idea what was normal for pregnancy and what was abnormal. Though he would much prefer to take Lauren straight to the hospital, he decided to let Lauren judge the situation and returned to the gang.

Brian looked at her, "I am not arguing now about that." Brian smiled. "When you want to go let me and we can take my truck." Brian told her.

Adjusting herself in the bed she felt the urge again. Rushing to the bathroom she let it escape. Gripping to the toilet she frowned at how much pain she was in and the sickness.
