Rise Above The Storm

"Fine, but call me if you need anything," Dom told her, kissing her head and reluctantly heading home.

"He likes you," Addison stated with a small smile, watching as her son drifted off to sleep and feeling herself relax.

Grinning she smiled, "I love you too." She told him.

Brian smiled, "I like him too." Brian told her.

With a chuckle, Addison shook her head and looked over what they had, "I think we have everything."

"Alright, let's get it paid and loaded." Brian smiled walking with her towards the checkout.

The sight of Brian with Seb made Addison happy and despite everything, she knew that he was a genuinely good bloke. Whether there was something there or not, she was happy with the knowledge that Seb would have at least a few decent rolemodels in his life.

Dom had been sat in the yard with the crew for nearly an hour, when he frowned and looked around. "Where's Bri and Addison?"

Handing his card to Addison he smiled watching her pay. Smiling he took and held Seb and smiled. Seeing the workers helping them load their stuff up as he strapped Seb into his seat and smiled at him.

"Her and Brian went shopping for things." Vince replied. "He is really head over heels for her and her kid. Might be a good thing for the two of them." Vince said.

"I agree." Jessie laughed.

Walking out, Mia frowned, "Hey Dom. The hospital just called..." Mia looked at her brother.

Addison thanked the store assistant and climbed into the passenger seat, glancing back to make sure that Seb's straps were done properly.

"Sounds like someone has a soft spot for the newcomers," Dom teased, seeing that Vince was quiet at the statement and looking over as Mia spoke, "What's going on?"

Brian took and smiled at Addison as he watched her carefully and smiled at her. He was lucky and he couldn't wait to see where this journey was going.

"The nurse said that you needed to get there as soon as you could. That's all she'd tell me." Mia frowned. "Want us to go with you?" Mia questioned her brother.

The apartment above the garage was perfect for Addison, not too big and yet it wasn't too small either. She had been sat on the floor for the past hour, putting together furniture and trying to figure out in her mind where everything was going to go.

"No, it's fine... they won't let us all in anyway," Dom answered, jumping up and promising to keep them up to date as he rushed out to his car. It didn't take him long to reach the hospital, rushing inside and making his way up to the room where Lauren was.

Brian took and looked at Addison as he walked out from laying Seb down. Sitting down he helped her with the furniture, "So are you going to like it?" Brian smiled.

Seeing Dom rushing into the room, Lauren looked at him frowning. She adjusted herself a little seeing the doctor walk in. "She started having contractions." He informed Dom. "We gave her medicine to stop them, but there is a huge possiblity rest of her pregnancy, she is going to have be stress free and on bedrest." He informed as Lauren rolled her eyes a little behind the doctor's back.

"It's perfect," Addison answered with a smile, "I want to stand on my own two feet, build a future and bring Seb up the right way... around the right sort of people."

Dom nodded as the doctor spoke, seeing the way Lauren rolled her eyes and trying not to laugh. Their current situation wasn't funny, but Lauren was stubborn and he knew that it was going to be hard to get her to do anything that the doctors had told her.

Brian smiled, "You found it, "We will take and do whatever it is to protect you two." Brian told her with a smile.

Lauren took and saw the doctor walk out as she sighed. "I told the idiots not to bother you. I was fine." Lauren closed her eyes sighing. "He's a tool, I really want to kick his butt." Lauren grinned.

"How about we let me try to protect myself first?" Addison suggested with a fond smile, "You can be my back up."

"Those idiots did the right thing, you know that I'd be pissed if they didn't ring me," Dom added with a chuckle.

Brian smiled, "Ok." Brian told her softly.

Lauren rolled her eyes, "Yes I know. But I am fine. I can't do the bed rest thing. You know me." Lauren sighed.

"Okay, no bed rest BUT you're going to take it easy," Dom stated, "Perhaps you could help Addison settle in? Seems a few of the crew have taken a shining to her, even Vince and he doesn't like anyone."

"That's a shock." Lauren giggled. "I can do that. When they release me." Lauren smiled. "Would that person be Brian?" She grinned adjusting herself a little in the bed frowning at the pain as she sighed.

"Brian hasn't left her side since she arrived, plus I saw the way he was looking at her and that little boy... I think we may have found the girl he's been waiting for," Dom stated, returning the grin and frowning slightly at the grimace on Lauren's face.

"I hope so." Lauren smiled at Dom as she smiled. "It took you one try, but I think you found the right one." She smiled at her fiance feeling the flutter in her stomach as she rubbed her stomach smiling. "And the baby loved that too." She giggled softly.

"Oh I definitely found the right one," Dom agreed with a grin, chuckling lightly and kissing her head.

Lauren grinned, "So did I." Lauren patted his stomach a little and sighed. "I am ready to go home." She pouted a little seeing him grin more. "Stop grinning, Dominic Toretto." She warned.
