This place is so beautiful. The flowers in the garden are all full of color, they leave a dark green. The trees all stood so tall and their branches as thick as Stella's arms. The grass was cut short and managed to the T with permission. Not a single blade was out of place. Each object of vegetation of the garden had a place and was taken care of. It was all so beautiful, so well handled. So, mechanical.
The inside of the gorgeous estate that Stella was told was her home felt the same. It was beautiful. Everything seemed so well put together, kept so clean and tidy. The rooms decorated with a professional touch, in Stella's opinion anyway. It felt like the perfect home, the perfect place to live. But, it didn't feel like home to Stella. No, she felt like a broken piece. Like she didn't belong here. A piece of furniture that was bought by accident, a leaf that was a shade too light. A blade of grass that was a tad bit to long. She didn't belong here, something felt off.
Blinking her bright blue eyes slowly. Stella raised her mug of warm Chai Tea to her lips and took a small sip before lowering the mug. Her feet slowly pushed off against the ground to start the light rocking motion of the wicker bench swing she was sitting on once more. Her mind drifting to what the doctors were saying as she came to. Asking her all of these odd questions, like where was her father and brothers, where was the money or something like that, and then started to get mad when she couldn't figure out what they were talking about. It felt like forever before a doctor came forward and told the nursed to stop. He asked her a couple more questions before turning to them and saying she had lost her memories. Talking to them like she wasn't even there. The men scowled, not seeming happy but the doctor seemed to try and ease Stella's confusion. Only to tell her that she should rest and try to remember.
It felt like a whole day before Matteo stepped into the room. Dressed to impress, with this aura around him that made Stella scared. She didn't know why, but something inside of her told her to run, hide. That he'd hurt her, but. He didn't. He only came into the room with his confident stride and placed a hand on the side of the hospital bed as he looked down at her with those dark orbs of his. His face didn't show any emotion as he spoke, but his tone. It, was like he was trying to comfort her. Explaining to her, in detail about her accident, she was with her father and brothers in a car accident. She had hit her head. Then, he went on to talk about how he'd bring her to his place. To help her recover, and to get used to it, as they're betrothed to each other. Supposedly, Stella's father owned a shipping company and Matteo's the heir of a multi-million dollar hotel. It sounded like a made-up story, but, seeing the
ring he said he was holding onto for her and
his house. Well, it felt like it had the ability to become true.
That was all last week, and truth be told. Stella hadn't actually seen Matteo since he brought her
home. He said he had some meetings or something, then he was just gone. Leaving her alone, with some of his staff. Alone and forgotten. Abandoned in a place that made her feel even more worthless than when she was laying in that hospital bed all confused.
Matteo was a jerk. One, who she was supposed to marry.
