Charlotte glanced around the lecture hall of her Geology class, looking for any open seats. It was the first day of lecture and she only arrived with a minute to spare. Which meant that most of the seats were already full. While it was sure that would change as the semester went on, it did still mean that she needed to find a spot to sit in for the day.

She had to step down a few rows, all of the back rows having been the preferred seating. Most university students wanted to option to zone out during the lecture or, in the least, not be called on if the professor was like that. So she had to do with taking an open chair towards the middle of the lecture. Though as all of the aisle and end seats were already taken, Charlotte had to scoot in until she was in the middle of the row, sitting besides a blonde woman and a brown haired man.

As she sat down, Charlotte took a moment to smile at the two of them, knowing that she was probably disturbing their space. Though they would have to deal with it. After all, it was a lecture hall and not their room. And she noticed the woman do double take when she noticed her different colored eyes, one brown and one blue.

Nonetheless, Charlotte settled down in her seat, putting her backpack between her feet before taking out her laptop. And it seemed she was just in time too, as the professor was opening up his powerpoint for the day's lecture.

The dribbling of his pencil's tip as he dropped it and caught it repeatedly filled Vincent's ears as he sat in the human filled hall. It's been ages since he'd been on this college's grounds. So much had changed and Isabella couldn't stop pointing the little things out to him. Leaning in close and pointing out little things. She was such a pain in his ass, but she was his best friend's girlfriend, so he couldn't just tell her to shut up. Even though he was the Alpha. Turning his head towards her, Vince whispered. "Quiet Bella, we're freshmen." He reminded her, and then looked forward again as movement caught his attention.

Then, the scent. Stopping his bored antics with his pencil Vincent leaned back in his seat and acted like he was bored as he ran a hand through his hair. His eyes casually sliding towards the young brown-haired girl who sat next to him. She smelled warm, comforting. Reminding him of a kind soul that he had met when they first moved back here.

Narrowing his eyes ever so slightly, Vince looked forward once more as the Professor started to speak. Vince's hand moving slowly as he wrote down little notes. He already took this class almost a million times it felt. He didn't really need to take notes, but for appearance sake, he did. His hazel eyes glancing towards the young girl next to him every so often when a whiff of her scent would come towards him. His right leg aching a little bit in the spot where a damn bear trap had snagged him during a hunt. He had foolishly been distracted by ascent and didn't notice the damn thing.

A small annoying sigh escaped from Vincent as he raised his free hand and rubbed his eyes with his thumb and pointer finger. "You okay?" Isabella asked quietly, knowing better than to touch her Alpha. So instead she just leaned into him, giving the facade that they were close. When in reality they weren't close in the sense that others believe. "Fine, just a headache," Vince said, ignoring the attention as he lowered his hand and focused back on the professor as he kept speaking. Except, he couldn't focus on the class. The girl to his right was too addicting smelling.

The class went about as well as one would expect for a first day class. Nothing was really taught on the subject, but the the man spoke about his expectations on the class and how assignments, tests and projects would go. And he had gone over a quick overview of the subject and what the students could expect to learn throughout the semester. The was the nice thing about the first day, the expectation was low and one could calm down from the busy-ness of school starting again.

Charlotte had taken minimal notes during the class as there was not much to add that the man would not have already put in the syllabus. Which was nice as it gave her more of an opportunity to just listen to the professor and get a feel for how his class was going to go. And she took the chance to glance around at the classroom and look to the other students that were there. She could not help but wonder how many would still be there in a month, as often there were students who did not go to class past the first day and the necessary tests.

When the professor dismissed them, Charlotte leaned back into her seat. There was no point in hurrying out of the lecture hall with where she was currently sitting. She would have to wait for at least half of the row to get out before she could, and most of them would have to wait to even be let out of the row by those who were already walking up the stairs. So, instead of rushing, Charlotte slowly put her items away.

To be completely honest, Vince had zoned out once the professor started to speak. His voice had just drawn on and on. Everything he was saying was stuff that Vince had already heard before, just in different phrasing. He was pretty sure he'd be able to get through this class without even having to lift a finger. Hell, he didn't even write any notes about what was going to be expected. Giving away the idea that he was just a lazy student who was probably going to drop out during the first couple of weeks.

By the time the class was dismissed, Vincent could feel himself almost falling asleep in his seat. Isabella was busy fixing her make-up next to him. Acting like the little diva that she was. She was probably going to go and find her boyfriend after class and complain to him about how boring it was and how Vince ignored her during the whole thing. Vince wasn't the girl's friend though and Mike, her boyfriend, and his beta were smart enough to keep his fucking mouth shut. If only he could keep his dick dry for a month after moving somewhere. It was like Mike and Isabella had almost instantly gotten together when they moved into the clubhouse that they owned.
Reaching his arms out to rest against the table as he stood up, Vince's hand nearest the girl from the woods' notebook and knocked it to the ground. Cursing quietly under his breath, Vince leaned over to pick up the book for the girl and stopped as their eyes locked when he came back up. He could hear the blood in his veins rushing around as he stared into the girl's eyes. If she was a werewolf, he'd have her head on a serving platter for staring him in the eyes. Except, she wasn't. She was a lowly human female. Yet, his blood still seemed to pump for her. It was weird, he'd never experienced such an odd feeling before in his long life.

Clearing his throat, Vincent stood up straight and handed the girl the notebook back. "Sorry I knocked it over." He murmured once the girl took the notebook back. Then, he broke eye contact with her and reached down to grab his school bag, and tossed one strap over his right shoulder. Then he picked up the textbook and notebook for this class and started to just start walking as the class seemed to have cleared as they started at each other. Even Isabella had run off without begging for Vince to hurry up. To which he was grateful. As at the moment, Vince really wasn't sure where his mind is at the moment. There's this little tug in his chest like a string was tugging on it. Why he wasn't sure.

Charlotte was patiently waiting for others in the lecture hall to head out, just relaxing against her chair when her notebook was knocked off the mini desk attached to each seat. Her eyes lifted up, meeting the eyes of the man she had been sitting next to. She smiled at him warmly as he handed her notebook back.

"It's okay, thank you." She responded as she took her item back, holding onto it until he headed off. At which point, Charlotte packed up the rest of her things and stood up, stretching out a bit. Now with an easy way out, Charlotte made her way towards lunch.
It was only two days later until Charlotte had to return Geology class. Though, instead of a lecture, it was a lab. While she wasn't 100% about what they would do during the lab, the young woman was quite sure that it would have something to do with rocks. Though, embarrassing enough, the young woman was already running late to her first class as some of her friends had wanted to meet up for lunch that day. Charlotte thought it would be fine but they ended up staying at the restaurant for too long.

At least, with it being a college level science class, the student aid had already sent out what lab group and table everyone would have. So when she walked in five minutes later, Charlotte was easily able to find her table and group at 'Table D'. She smiled warmly at them and said a quick 'hello'. And she noticed that one of her partners was actually the man she sat next too only a few days ago. "I am sorry I am late."

What was the point of doing labs for Geology? They were just talking about rocks, so what else could there be for them to do? Go outside and dig a hole, then tell the professor what they had seen then they dug so deep or something? That was a load of horse shit, just like this class. Instead, the professor had everyone separated into groups of four and tasked everyone to pick a country and an area to do a report on. Needing to learn the types of rocks and minerals that they have and if there's any way to recreate the formation's in other locations. In summary, just write a group essay about the rocks in the area. Short, sweet, and to the fucking point.

Sitting back in his seat, Vincent looked between the two of his three partners. Chad and Joe. Both were only going to college because they had athletic scholarships and were just bullshitting until they got the chance to get into the big leagues. Although listening to them, he wasn't sure either would have the mentality for it since all they talked about was how they couldn't wait to get laid by supermodels.

The scent of another wolf met Vincent's nose before the soft voice of that female from the other day met his ears. The hair on the back of his neck slowly raised and his muscles slowly tensed. There wasn't another pack in this town the last time he and Bo had scouted. The place had been deserted, which was why they had come back here. Shifting his gaze to not give himself away, Vince looked towards the girl as she took the girl as she took the seat next to him. Human, she smelled mostly human up close. So, then why did he get that scent of another wolf before registering her human scent?

Narrowing his eyes, Vince opened his mouth and spoke. "Isn't it a little early in the school year to be slacking off?" He murmured, annoyance in his voice as he refused to look at the girl. He didn't know who she was, but something about her was just pushing him to the edge. Her normal scent had driven his wolf insane the other day, and now that it's mixed with another's scent, it was like world war three inside of his head. "Ah, ignore Vincent. He's a grump." Joe said and brushed off Vince's words. "I'm Joe by the way." The idiot wouldn't stop talking and Vince could imagine himself ripping his head off right about now.

"I'm Chad, Joe's better-looking twin." Idiot number two added in, not wanting to be left out. "Who are you?" Chad asked, tilting his head as he smiled innocently at the girl. Trying to play the nice guy role.

The woman's smile dropped as one of the men in her lab already gave her a hard time for being late. She looked him up and down critically for a moment before responding. "Was me being late giving you flashbacks to all of the dates you've been stood up on?" Charlotte set her backpack down as slid down onto one of the lab stools. "I was only five minutes late so how about you take a deep breath, grandpa."

Her eyes then shifted over to the other two men that were in her group project. "Hello Joe, Chad. I am Charlotte." She smiled back at him lightly before pulling out her laptop and opening it up. It seemed that this was going to be an interesting group but there was nothing that could really be done about it. She didn't have to like the but Charlotte did hope that the three of them would do their portion of the work.

"Have you three looked over the project at all yet?" Charlotte asked as she pulled up the assignment the professor had posted. "It seems easy enough but we'll have to figure out a way to divide up the work. I was thinking that we each can pick a different region of the country and each write the rocks and minerals that are most prominent there. If it turns out that two or more people have the same rocks and minerals, they can work together and then edit the paper since there will be less work for them than the others who have to write their section separately."

Charlotte lifted her head up to look at the three men. "Does that sound fair? And does anyone have an idea of a country?"

Listening to the human girl talk back to him caused Vincent's right eye to twitch. It's been years since anyone's had the balls to talk back to Vince. Years since anyone dared to try and challenge him. As an alpha of five other wolves, it was a given by nature of them to listen. So this girl, it's different. She smelled of other wolves as well, which just added to the giant headache that Vince was feeling as he sat down next to this little girl.

Shifting he gave over the other members of the group. Vince allowed for the words of the group to sink in. It was a good idea, but he wasn't going to allow the female to run things. He wasn't a follower, not since he was a human himself. "Africa would be the easiest one to divide up as the country is vastly different in culture, climates, and terrain," Vince said as he sat up in his seat. Opening the closed laptop that he had in front of him on the table. His gaze shifting around the table to look at each of the other members as he spoke.

"So, naturally it should have different rocks and minerals." Vince looked back towards his laptop and started to pull up a man of Africa. His eyes examining the map for a moment and then looked back up towards the group. "Who wants to do what area?" He asked, looking around at the quiet members at the table.

"Africa is not a country," Charlotte told Vincent as she shook her head a bit at him. "Though we can certainly pick a country from there. You are right in saying that across the continent is vastly different and we could probably pick a country within it that shows that." Pulling up a map of Africa, Charlotte glanced over it before letting out a small hum. "How about South Africa?"

Looking over to the rest of the group, Charlotte smiled softly. "Someone can do the coastline, another can do the dessert, another the mountain region and finally someone can do the river areas?" She glanced at Joe and Chad, thinking that it might be best to have them pick what they were most interested in. Charlotte didn't want to be rude but... Well they didn't seem to have all of the lightbulbs turned on in their head. "What do you two want to do?"

Chad rubbed the back of his head, thinking over what he wanted to do. Though as he was about to open his mouth, Joe was already responding. "I want to do the coastline." He said with a dumb grin on his face. "The beach is where it is at." Joe gave Charlotte a wink as he said that. Chad was quick to shove him on his shoulder but Joe was quick to grab onto the table before he fell. "Well, I want to do the dessert. Plenty of cool animals there. Like scorpions!"

Charlotte nodded to the two of them. "What would you like to do then?" She asked, looking up at Vincent.

Pursing his lips together, Vincent couldn't help but smirk to himself. So beauty does have brains. Too many conversations with Isabella over the summer had ruined Vince's perspective on the female population. With this girl, Charlotte. Maybe humanity had a chance. Maybe. As Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum spoke, Vincent took little notes, making little mental notes that he should probably cover their parts of the project to make sure that they don't fail. Which shouldn't be too much of a problem, as he'd done things similar to this task beforehand multiple times.

Pausing in his typing, Vincent glanced at Charlotte through the side of his eyes. His lips pursed together as he listened to the human girl speak. His eyes shifting back to his laptop slowly. "Don't really care, I'm not picky. Whatever you're not interested in doing, I'll take." Vincent told Charlotte as he made little notes about what he'd like to add for his part of the project. "Are we going to be making this just an essay from all of us, or would you guys like to make a PowerPoint instead?" Vincent asked, remembering that those were two of the options for the project ideas they could do to convey their research.

Once Chad and Joe started to speak about how crappy essays were and that powerpoints were so much more fun, Vince couldn't help but to raise his right hand and rub his temples with his pointer finger and thumb. His eyes closing. This group was going to be the death of him. The fact that he couldn't reach across the table and punch the two for bickering like kids was enough to cause a headache to form. This semester was going to be a long one, Vince just knew it and it had barely even started.

When Vincent expressed that he did not care what part of the project he would do, Charlotte gave a nod. "I will take the mountains and then you can have the river area." She was hoping that the mountain area would be less likely to have any similarities with the men in the group. Vincent didn't seem all that friendly and the other two seemed much too friendly. If she could get away with doing her part of the project alone, then life would be grand. Though, it also was probably a good idea not to completely leave these men alone. Who knew what they would get up to.

Charlotte leaned in against the table, smiling almost flirtishly at the two that were arguing about PowerPoints. She tucked in the hair behind her ear, noticing that once she had done so, she had Joe and Chad's attention. "I know... PowerPoints are definitely better but unfortunately we are stuck with a paper..." Charlotte let out a sad sigh, glancing away and fluttering her eyelashes as she did so. "But since we have to do the paper, would you both mind finding out what minerals your areas have before lab next week?" She looked back at the two of them. "That way we would know if I am lucky enough to work with one of you two on the paper. Wouldn't that be nice?" She smiled sweetly at the two men.

"I am sure we will get to work together. Coastlines and mountains must be similar!" Joe said with a grin. "Better to find out early so we can figure out when we are going to meet up to work on the project. Maybe to coffee or-" At that point, Joe was interrupted by Chad who was saying that desserts and mountains were more similar and it soon turned into an argument between the two on exactly who was going to be working and grabbing coffee with Charlotte.

As they argued, Charlotte turned back to Vincent, deciding to turn off her flirting when she did so. She could tell he wasn't as dumb as the other two. Though who knew he would do his part with the attitude the man had... "Does that sound good to you? It'll just be easier if we know if we have to work with someone."

Why did this have to be the year that Vincent had to pick Geography to take? He didn't even like rocks, and he sure as hasn't needed it in all of the years he's been alive. Fuck, he must be a masochist or some shit because this year was going to be pure fucking hell. Pausing in rubbing his temples, Vince slowly opened his eyes and looked towards Charlotte. His lips pursing before he sat back in his seat and crossed his arms. "I'm fine with it." He murmured, his gaze shifting towards the idiots in the group.

A small snort escaped from Vince as he listened to the girl take over what format they'd be doing the project. It would have been a hundred times easier if they'd just done a PowerPoint, made it look cool with all of the graphics that the kids do these days, and call it a day. Except no, she wanted these idiots to actually work. Rather they actually did work though, was something that remained to be seen to Vince.

Shifting his full attention onto Charlotte as she decided to open that pretty little mouth once more, Vince couldn't help but sigh. He had a feeling he was making her feel on guard because of his foul mood, but. That smells been plaguing his nose for the whole time they've been sitting at the table. Something was going on and it was pissing Vince off. "You know we're probably gonna have to pull their weight, right?" That was all Vince said before grabbing his things and putting them into his bag. "I gotta go, we're pretty much done here," Vince murmured as he stood up.

"Fine," Charlotte responded as she turned back to the other two boys. She didn't know what Vincent's problem was but it wasn't something that she needed to be bothered with. As long as the man did his part of the project, they didn't have to get along. In fact, they barely needed to talk at all. Once Vincent left, Charlotte talked to the other two men for a little bit longer before getting up and saying that it was time for her to head out as well. They had been asking why they needed to do the paper instead of a powerpoint but it was clear the two bozos hadn't read the syllabus. Those who wrote a paper instead of doing the powerpoint would have their lowest project or test grade dropped which would raise their overall grade in the class.

As she walked out of the lab, Charlotte rubbed her temples. Why did men have to be so goddamn annoying? Though as she was walking down campus, she got a call from her friends she had just seen for lunch, asking if she wanted to go see them. Of course, Charlotte said yes and not much alter she was getting picked up from campus by two men and a woman. One of them driving the dark blue Aston Martin.

It didn't take long for the four of them to decide to head back to the three's place. They all lived together in a rather large house by the woods. And it seemed that they were going to head a bit into the forest to have a bonfire and do some drinking.

Fresh air filled Vincent's lungs as soon as he had stepped out of that library and by fenrir, it felt like a weight had been lifted off of his chest. That filthy scent of a rival pack was suffocating him, making him feel like he was choking. Normally, another scent from his kind wasn't that annoying, but, when wrapped around Charlotte? It was like poison that was slowly killing him. Why he didn't know. She was a human and he wasn't. They weren't, so, why? Why the fuck was he so agitated with her?

Passing his bag off to one of his packmates to take home for him, Vincent couldn't help it. He went into the woods and shifted into his wolf form and waited outside of the building. Then, he waited. Waited for the girl that's been aggravating him for no damn reason, the girl that he can't seem to stop thinking about. He didn't even know her, yet he dreamed of her. Soft human skin, her soft pure scent. Her touch was like that of a feather when nervous. Charlotte was going to be a thorn in his side.

Finally, once Vince saw that Charlotte had left the building, he started to move. Keeping to the woods to stay out of sight. His scent getting covered by the foliage that was around. He watched and followed. The fur on the back of his beck raising as he saw who she was with, his fangs baring at the sight of them. This was bad, he could smell their scent from miles away. Thankfully, they were driving in the opposite direction of his pack, or else they'd be in greater danger than they were. He didn't smell them when they were scoping the area over, meaning that Vince's pack was safe. That they hadn't trespassed and started a war on accident. Thankfully, it seemed that the college campus seemed to be neutral ground.

Following the pack to a house a couple of miles from the school, Vincent sank back a bit. His amber colored eyes of his wolf watching every little movement they made. His enhanced hearing allowing him to listen to any sort of sound that could be made in the woods. Then, as he slank towards the back of the house, Vince noticed that a few were carrying logs and beer boxes. Raising his lips in a silent snarl, Vince took a couple more steps back. Don't they know that it's dangerous for a human to be out this late? They may be a pack, but they could still risk other creatures lurking about.

Not able to help himself, Vincent raised his head and let out a loud howl. His eyes closing as he sang his song, wanting to warn the pack and Charlotte. That he was out there, watching. That he was nearby. It was probably one of the most foolish things he could have done since he was alone. Yet, he couldn't allow for her to be out in the woods alone with them. He just couldn't.

As a wolf howled, Charlotte glanced in the direction that she thought the howl was coming from. She looked for a moment, a bottle of liquor still in hand as she glanced around. Though she was able to determine quickly that the wolf wasn't nearby, or in the least, that she couldn't see it. The young woman didn't seem all that concerned about this. Instead, turning and continuing to make her way towards their normal bonfire spot.

Though before she was even able to make it a few steps forward, Liam and Oliver were running from their bonfire spot. They had been bringing the logs out but decided to abandon them when they heard the howl from an unfamiliar wolf. "Did you hear that?" Liam asked Charlotte. Though he wasn't looking at her, instead, seeming to scan the area, looking for the location of it.

"Yeah, so?" Charlotte said, giving them a little shrug. She started to move forward, planning on moving past the two men and continue on towards their location. Though Oliver was quick to stop her. He wrapped an arm around Charlotte and quickly turned her so that they were facing the house. "Hey, what are you doing?" Charlotte asked him. Oliver held onto her tighter and started to move Charlotte forward.

"We should stay in tonight. Don't want to get attacked by wolves do we?" Oliver asked her as he continued leading her.

"We always hear howls during the night! Come on now, don't tell me your scared," Charlotte said as she suddenly ducked under Oliver's arm, turning to make her way towards the bonfire.

At that point, Luna came running out of the house. "Did you hear that?" She called out to them. The three stopped what they were doing and looked to the woman until she was near them. "Let's go inside. We need to call Peter."

"I don't understand what the big deal is?" Charlotte said, looking at the three of them in confusion. "Seriously, this happens all the time. It's always been-"

Luna interrupted her quickly, having been able to think of her feet. "There have been some wolf attacks in the area recently. So we probably shouldn't go out with them nearby until the local rangers figure out why it's been happening. I don't know about you, but I don't think I can fight a wolf off." The girl tried to laugh nonchalantly as she headed over to Charlotte, taking her free hand and leading her inside. "Come on, let's just watch a movie. We'll let you pick it out while Liam and Oliver get the stuff from the bonfire." The woman gave them a quick look before continuing on. "I need to call the others to let them know to meet us inside...and Peter to let him know to bring the kids in. So just go down to the..."

Luna's and Charlotte's voices were no longer able to be heard as they walked into the house and the door closed behind them. Oliver and Liam looked at each other for a moment before heading into the woods. The two of them quickly shifted to survey their land and figure out where the new wolf was.

It was probably incredibly stupid that Vincent had given himself away by howling, but. For some reason knowing that Charlotte was going into the forest with these wolves was a little nerve-wracking. They might just be friends, but they could also be marinating her. Trying to get her trust before killing her, meaning they were man-eaters. It was rare for their kind, but Vince remembered hearing about how some of his kind went that way. The beast's pull coming on too strong with that bloodline or something.

As soon as Charlotte was inside of the house, Vince's eyes shifted towards the two who were coming towards the forest. His eyes narrowing before turning and booking it. Fighting two wolves at once was risky, especially on their home turf. They knew this area and Vince didn't. They could pop out of nowhere and lead Vince to a place to corner him, trap him with a beartrap that a hunter left, or worst. To hidden members of their pack that Vince didn't know were around.

A light growl escaped from Vince as he ran through the woods. His fur bristling at the back of his neck as the scent of the wolves coming upon him met his nose. One tackled Vince to the ground, then another charged him as he rolled on the ground with the one on top of him. Vince snapped at the wolf's upper shoulder as they came to a stop. The wolves who charged him, circled, looking for another opening. Then he charged Vince as his partner backed up and bared his fangs, the wolf snapped his jaw onto Vince's right leg. He could feel the bone-cracking as the wolf shook his head. A loud howl of pain escaped from Vince as he bit the wolf's neck and shook his head as he tried to pull him off.

The three circled each other, tore at each other's fur, and fought for a good couple of minutes before Vincent spotted his escape and bolted out of there. The other two were hot on his heels and Vince could sense then snapping at his tail and his back legs as they tried to get him. Thankfully, he managed to escape them once he got back to the neutral area. To the human claimed area. The area where neither pack dared to lay claim as they didn't want to give off the knowledge that there were wolves all around the area. To much attraction would get the interest of scientists and hunters alike and that was something that werewolf shifters did not need at the moment.

Once he had made sure that the two wolves stopped following him, Vince finally turned and headed back towards his home. He could feel his right front leg screaming in pain, probably broken or sprained from when one of the wolves attacked him. Shit, Vince just wasn't having any luck with this area. First, he got caught in a bear trap, and then he finds out his mate is being surrounded by another pack for some reason, and then, he does something stupid and gets into a fight with two wolves over her. What the hell's going on?
Then, suddenly Vince stops his running as a realization hits him like running into a brick wall. My mate? The thought stuns Vince and he could feel his heart rate speeding up faster the more the two words repeat inside of his head. My mate, my mate, my mate. Vince kept repeating, his head turning towards the direction that he had just come from. Shit.

The next time that Vince was in class with Charlotte it had been raining that day. Being able to sense to coming storm, Vince and his packmates had enough sense to wear jackets to keep dry. While most of the humans seemed to ignore that fact, especially once female who Vincent had been thinking about for the past couple of days. As soon as Vince had seen Charlotte walk in with that light-colored top that was almost see-through, he couldn't help but to growl inside of his mind. This girl was just asking for trouble. An since they were required to sit around their group members for some in-class discussions, Joe and Chad had also seen Charlotte's unfortunate appearance.

Not liking the idea of Charlotte's body being in view for nonshifters to see, Vince stood up to shrug off his jacket then he draped it over her shoulders as soon as she sat down in the open seat next to him. Then, sat back down without a word and opened his laptop to act like he was going to be looking over his notes once more. His right arm that was in a splint rested on the table in view of his classmates.

It was just her luck. The day that Charlotte decided to wear her cute white blouse was the day that it just had to rain out of nowhere. And it really did feel like it was out of nowhere. When the downpour suddenly started, every who had been walking around campus suddenly ran this way and that to try and find a dry place to wait it out. Though Charlotte found herself running the rest of the way to class, hoping that she wouldn't be soaked to the bone by the time she got there. And she wasn't totally soaked... but her clothes were wet and admittedly, the top had become more see through than Charlotte would have really wanted for class. And, of course, she didn't have anything to cover herself up with.

The woman thought about just heading back to her dorm. Did she really want her three asshole partners staring at her the whole time? No. But Charlotte also knew that two of them were dumbasses who wouldn't do the project without her there and the other one would complain if she missed... Plus the lab required attendance. So, Charlotte made her way into the classroom, thinking that she was going to have to snap at some boys to stop staring at her.

But this worry was quickly resolved after she sat down next to Vincent. He laid his jacket over her, allowing Charlotte to cover herself up. She looked at him in surprise for a moment before letting out a little "Thank you,". Vincent was so strange but she was definitely grateful in that moment. Charlotte pulled his jacket closer to her, ensuring that she was properly covered as well as enjoying the warmth before she took out her own laptop.

As Chad and Joe started to talk to her, Charlotte said hello to them back and politely nodded as they started to go into deep detail about their weekend. Though her eyes shifted over to Vincent when the two of them finally paused for a breath. "What happened to your arm?"

A small nod was the only acknowledgment that Vincent gave to Charlotte as she thanked him for his jacket. It wasn't a big deal. He just didn't want to have others looking at her body, it was a selfish reason. Nothing to be thanking him for, because he was a selfish person. Not to mention it also pushed his scent onto her, making that rank scent that still lightly covered her disappear. The rain had washed most of it off, but Vince wanted to make sure that it was gone if he had to sit next to her for the rest of class.

When Charlotte spoke again, it snapped Vincent out of his thoughts and he actually turned head towards her. His hazel eyes blinking slowly for a moment before looking down at his arm. "Oh, this?" He murmured quietly and slightly lifted his sprained arm. A shift can fix almost everything, but if you get a break or a deep laceration, it'll only heal halfway. Still quicker them a human's healing ability, but Vince would have to deal with a sprained arm for a couple of days. "I was just playing football with some of my cousins." He told her, then shrugged his shoulders. "Fell wrong on my arm."

Resting his arm back down on the cool table, Vince felt weird as he asked. "How was your weekend?" He could feel himself mentally punching himself for asking something so stupid like that. He wasn't a teenager like Chad and Joe, he was a couple hundred in reality but his slowed genes kept him in his prime. Out of the corner of his eye, Vince could see Joe and Chad leaning in to listen to the only girl in the group talk. Ready to hand on to her every word like the horny teens that they were.

"Ah," Charlotte glanced over his arm for another moment before looking back to her computer. It had turned on now and all she needed to was get to the notes she had taken for the project. "Well hopefully it will heal quickly. I can't imagine it is very easy or comfortable to use your computer." She smiled at him gently. If he was going to be nice today, she would well. Though Charlotte was ready to turn on a dime if the man decided to go back to being an asshat.

"It was good!" Charlotte said warmly. "Saw some friends. Spent some time at home, just relaxing."

"What are you doing to relax?" Chad asked, which caused Charlotte to lift her eyes up. Both Chad and Joe were now leaning in to listen to her. It was kind of creepy how fixated their eyes were on her. Definitely a good thing that Vincent had given her his jacket to borrow otherwise they surely would just be staring at her breasts the whole time.

Charlotte ran a hand through her hair. "Uh, you know... Watching TV." Her eyes dropped back down to the computer.

"Well too bad we didn't see you at the party on 4th," Joe said with a bit of a smirk. "It was a smash. Think you would have really enjoyed it. Do you go partying often?"

"Sometimes." Charlotte told them with a little shrug. "Though lets talk about the project. Did everyone figure out the minerals and rocks they need to do? We should figure out if any of us need to partner up."

"Yes," The two men said immediately, somehow in unison. Though Chad was able to spin his computer around the quickest to show his list. quartz, garnet, magnetite, and ilmenite were on the list. "Anyone have any of those?" He asked as he stared at Charlotte.

"I don't. Joe? Vincent?" Charlotte said. Joe shook his head.
