Devil's Night

Angelo sighed as he made his way towards Adrienne’s house. The two of them had met a few weeks ago & hit it off. He knew she was a half breed, and Adrienne knew Angelo was a devil. He trusted her enough to keep his secret and the secret of his friends.

As he arrived though, he saw one of the sheriffs, who were known to be the type of sheriffs to hunt & kill Angelo’s kind, harassing her. Angelo walked over, just as the guy was trying to grab hold of Adrienne’s wrist, and put an arm around her, instantly putting on the protective boyfriend mode. “Hey, is there a problem here, man? Why are you harassing my girlfriend?” He asked the man.

Maren sighed as she walked into her favorite coffee shop after her classes. She usually came here to have coffee and work on any homework she had instead of at home. She ordered herself a latte before going to the back to sit down to work. She wasn’t sitting there long before she felt like someone was staring at her.

She looked up from her laptop to see a tall, heavily tattooed guy, with long black hair looking at her from a couple tables over. He was definitely her type, and it made her blush. She began blushing even more when he stood up and strolled over towards her table.

Adrienne sighed in relief and held the brown grocery bag close to her chest.
She was glad that Angelo had stepped in at the moment he did, because it got Ronnie to back off from her. This isn't the first time that Ronnie had harrassed her. He has been trying to make Adrienne become his girlfriend ever since she accidentally bumped into him at the ceremony the town held for him when he was promoted as the Sheriff. Ronnie is arrogant, and thinks he is the best because everyone in town loves him and believe he's the hero the town needs, and while that's something Adrienne didnt like in a man, she especially didnt like him because he blatantly hates Devils and half breeds and has made it a goal of his to kill them off, and unknown to Ronnie, Adrienne is a half breed since her dad is a Devil and her mom is human. It's why Adrienne tries to avoid being noticed by well known people like Ronnie and in general lays low so that people like him won't find out she's a half breed.

Adrienne leaned closer to Angelo, to make their pretend relationship look real. However, Ronnie let go of her wrist begrudgingly before glaring at Angelo. "Who the fuck are you? And Girlfriend? The bitch isn't yours, she's mine. I already claimed her. She is just being a dumb bitch."

Chris sat at his usual table sipping at his coffee, waiting for the blonde beauty he had been watching for a few months to enter. Today he was going let himself be known to her and integrate himself into her life. He knew it could be dangerous for him to be with her because he is a devil and she is human, but he couldn't help but feel the pull that she has on him and the only thing he could think why that is, is because she is his mate.

Chris smiled when his beauty had entered the coffee shop and ordered her usual coffee drink and sat down at her usual spot. It didn't take long for her to notice him and it made his heart swell with joy when she blushed after getting caught looking at him. He took this as his cue to go meet her officially. He grabbed his coffee as he stood up from his table and headed over towards her.

"Good afternoon, beautiful. I couldn't help but notice you and your beauty. I've been wanting to speak to you for a while now, but I finally gather the courage to do so." He said with a smile, before extending his hand out. "I'm Chris Cerulli. Do you mind me sitting here with you with the possibility of us getting to know each other?" He asked, his smile coming off a little shy.

Angelo laughed, “she isn’t yours. We’ve been together for six months now. So, I don’t know where you got the idea that she belongs to you but she doesn’t and I would like it if you would leave her alone and stop harassing her.” He said as he tightened his grip on Adrienne, just in case Ronnie tried anything.

Maren looked up and smiled as Chris extended his hand. “Maren Green.” She said and shook his hand. She nodded whenever he asked if he could sit down with her. “I’ve seen you in here before but every time I did, I was afraid to look because you’re so handsome and I just thought,” she leaned forward some to whisper, “there’s no way you could be human.” She said. “And if you aren’t, it’s not a problem at all, I’m accepting of everyone.” She gave him a smile.

Adrienne hid her face against Angelo's shoulder, to look away from Ronnie. She flinched when he had called her a dumb bitch, while he moved closer to her. Ronnie on the other hand ignored Angelo and gripped Adrienne's chin with his hand to make him look at her. "It wont be long until you come crawling to me, begging me to make you mine." He said and placed a rough kiss on her lips, then pulled away and left.

Adrienne immediately wiped her mouth with her sleeve, trying to get his taser out of her mouth. "I dont like him. He has never noticed me before until that one day I accidentally bumped into him and yet he continues to harass me." She said softly after Ronnie had left and Angelo removed his arm from her waist. "Thank you for stepping in. I know it was risky for you to do that."

Chris smiled when Maren said she has noticed him. However he almost panicked when she admitted that she knew he wasn't human, thinking that she wasnt interested in devils. But he smiled and felt relieved that she was accepting of all breeds. "I am a full devil and it's nice to know that there are people like you who are accepting of us. It rare to find that."

Angelo glared at Ronnie as he kissed Adrienne, he was really getting into this fake role of playing a protective boyfriend, or maybe he did have feelings for her, who knew.

He looked at her with a smile, “don’t worry about it. I will always play a fake boyfriend for you whenever you need me too.” He smiled.

Maren smiled. “I know. I could tell.” She said. “How is it? I mean, I know you guys must live in constant fear, but how do you manage to go about day to day activities without being caught?” She asked softly, just in case there was anyone here who had a vengeance against devils.

Adrienne smiled softly at the devil and placed a kissed on his cheek. "I appreciate that, love." She told him gratefully. However, Adrienne wished that he wasnt pretending to be her boyfriend because she started to develop feelings for him. It was almost like he had a pull on her and he didnt know it.

"Come on, let's head to my place. I was hoping I would have had dinner ready before you arrived, but unfortunately not." She said and led him in the direction to her apartment.

Chris smiled softly. "It's not easy, but I've trained myself to ignore most scents of blood to keep me from going full ravage mode. But most of us devils just keep a low profile. That seemed to work out since most humans either dont pat attention to me or they think I'm just another human."

“It’s okay babe, I’m sure it will be delicious either way.” Angelo smiled as he followed her. Once in her apartment, he sat down on her couch while Adrienne made her way to the kitchen.

Maren nodded. “I see.” She said. “Well, your secret is safe with me.” She smiled and then thought of something. She got out a notebook and pen, before writing, Can you smell my blood or did you train your senses not to detect it? ;) before siding it over to Chris with a smirk.

Adrienne smiled at Angelo as they walked into her apartment and he made himself comfortable. "Help yourself to anything. I'll be in the kitchen for a bit." She said and handed him the remote to her TV. Her place wasnt fancy. It was just a one bedroom apartment with a nice size kitchen and livingroom, but she loved it. "How was your day today?" She asked him from the kitchen as she began prepping for dinner.

Chris looked at the note before smirking. He quickly wrote a response before sliding the notebook back to her. I can. Your blood is sweet, so sweet that I couldn't walk away, but I trained myself to not allow your scent to show my devil features. It almost happened once, where my eyes turned to my natural eye color and my fangs started to grow. Thankfully I was able to hide before I got caught..

“It was okay. Chris seems to have taken an interest in a human girl, that he ran into at a coffee shop a few weeks ago.” Angelo said as he walked into the kitchen to get himself a drink. “So everyone is freaking out that he will give away that he’s a devil, but I think he’s learned how to control it.”

Maren smiled at the message. She quickly wrote something down, I’ll be home alone tonight, here’s my address, if you want to stop by ;) she slid it back over to him. Maren was a virgin but a little flirting never hurt anyone.

Adrienne smiled softly. She had met Chris before when Angelo brought her over to their place. "I only met him once, but I can tell he is very smart and careful. Besides, you cant help who you love." She said and then blushed before turning away from him.

Chris smirked before giving her a wink. oh you will? Are you sure you'll be able to handle being with a devil like me? Our urges are very strong.

“Yeah? Josh thinks he is rushing this but I think the girl might be Chris’ mate.” Angelo said as he got himself a bottle of water and sat down.

Maren wasn’t fully aware what she was getting herself in to, but she enjoyed the chase. Of course ;) I am a virgin though, so I will let you know that now.

Adrienne nodded, "Well I'm sure Chris can handle himself just fine." She said softly and placed the top on the pots on the stove. "Have you found your mate yet?" She asked, a hint of blush on her cheeks and nose.

Chris smirked, he already knew she was a virgin because of the scent of her blood. "I know." He stated with a smirk.

“Not yet, but I think I’m close to finding her.” Angelo smiled. He already knew who his mate was and she was standing right here in this room, but Angelo wasn’t going to admit that yet.

Maren blushed and looked at the time. “I have to go run some errands but I’ll see you tonight.” She winked as she gathered her things.

Adrienne nodded silently, feeling slightly sad that she wasnt her mate, but then she quickly smiled at him to not make him suspicious. "I'm sure when you do find her that she will be great." She told him and poured herself a glass of water.

"Okay princess. I'll see you later." Chris said and watched her leave. He felt great about everything that happened.

“I hope so. Maybe you’re my mate, how crazy would that be?” Angelo chuckled. He knew she was but he only said this to see her reaction.

Later that evening, Maren was sitting on the couch reading when she heard the doorbell go off. She looked out the window before opening the door. “You came.” She smiled at Chris.

Adrienne blushed, "I dont think it would be crazy if we were. It be nice, but I'm just a half breed. No one really care about us." She said but focused her cup of water, but all she wanted to do is admire Angelo's appearance. Most would think he is scary looking because of his two different eye colors and tattoos that covered his body, but Adrienne loved his features.

Chris smiled softly and held out a bouquet of black and purple roses. He was bew to this romantic stuff, especially since his mate was a human and not a devil.

Angelo smiled. “I care about you and hey, you know what they say, if a half breed is a devil’s mate, the devil can make them full fledged devils.” He winked at her.

Maren smiled. “Chris, they’re beautiful.” She said as she took the bouquet of flowers when he handed them to her. She stepped aside so he could come in before she closed and locked the door. “Let me get a vase and we can go to my room.” She smiled.

(Lol no ne doesn't. He would wear different colored contacts to gi e off that scary vibe when he was in MIW. But for the RP, I making it a trait of his and it will be brown and a very light blue that almost looks white.)

"Yeah that's true." She smiled at him and then blushed. Adrienne then heard the whistling of the pots, knowing that food was almost one. She got up and began stirring the content in the pots before turning the heat on low.

Chris nodded and waited for her to come back. He looked around the room and saw some photos. He smiled as she saw the ones of her when she was younger, she was so cute.

“Do you need help with anything, beautiful?” Angelo asked as he followed her into the kitchen.

Maren came back a moment later with the roses in a vase. “Follow me.” She smiled as she led him upstairs to her room. She opened the door. “Welcome to my goth cave, as my family calls it.” She smiled.
