“How does this look?” Avery asked her best friend as she finished pinning up the banner they made for Balz’ launch party for his new drink that he was going to show everyone tonight.

“Balz will be here soon, are you guys almost done?” Ricky asked from the doorway of the kitchen. “Yep, almost done. How does it look?” She asked Ricky. “Looks good, Ava.” He smiled, using the nickname they made up for her. “Thanks Rick.” Avery smiled before looking at Vanessa. “What’s left?”

Vanessa look at the banner Avery made for the launch party for Balz. She smiled and nodded in approval. "It looks great Ava." She said and then looked at her checklist to make sure that they had everything ready. "Nothing we're just waiting for the man of the hour to come." She said and placed clipboard down. "I'll be right back, I'm going to the bathroom to real quick."

Once she left Ricky looked at Ava while Ryan and Devin joined in the main room. "I cant wait until Balz to finally ask Nessa to be his girl. It would be about time." Ricky said with a soft chuckle.

Avery nodded. “Definitely. They really deserve each other.” She said as she sat down. “Did you invite your boyfriend, by the way?” Devin asked her as he sat down beside her.

“Oh, no, he was busy.” Avery said. In fact, Danny didn’t even know she was here. She had lied to him and said she had a family emergency but she was here instead.

"They really do. I mean you should see how much Balz adores Nessa. It's gross" Ryan said with a chuckle. but then he focused his attention on Avery, hoping that she didn't invite her boyfriend because he was annoying. He would complain how boring their get togethers were. But none of them knew that her boyfriend was abusing her.

Devin nodded, "his loss." He responded with a smile and slight shrug of his shoulders.

Ricky looked up from his phone. "Yo I just got a text from Angelo. Him, Balz, and Chris are heading their way here." He informed everyone.

Avery smiled and nodded, “yeah, his loss.” She said and then looked over at Ricky when he said Balz, Angelo and Chris were on the way.

“I’ll go tell Nessa.” Avery said and got up, going upstairs. “Nessa? Ricky said they’re on the way.” She knocked on the bathroom door.

Vanessa was looking at herself in the mirror trying to convince herself that her outfit choice was fine and that she looked good enough for Josh. Her attention was focused on the knock on the bathroom door and then sighed in relief when she heard Avery's voice.

"Okay I'm coming." She called out and then went to open the door. "I'm ready."

Chris and Angelo stopped by the entrance of the shop and looked at Balz. "You ready man?" Chris asked as he draped his arm around his shoulder.

“You okay? If you’re worried about how you look, you look hot, okay?” Avery cheered her up. “Come on.” She smiled and walked with her back downstairs.

“Yeah, I think so. I hope Vanessa will say yes though.” Balz sighed as he looked at Chris and Angelo.

Vanessa smiled softly. "Thanks." She responded back with a blush appearing on the apple of her cheeks. She looped her arm with Avery's and walked with her until they made it towards the front of the shop. Vanessa smile grew when she saw Josh standing with Chris and Angelo by the front door, about to enter.

"She will, man." Angelo smiled at his friend before turning to look at the door in front of them seeing Avery and Vanessa walking towards them. "Look here she comes and she is looking rather gorgeous." He told his friend and then looked at Avery, who looked absolutely beautiful as well. "Remember, Ange and I will be getting the place ready for you to ask Vanessa out right before you introduce the new drink flavor you're launching. Then right after you do the toast, that's when we will change the scene for you to ask her." Chris reminded Balz of his plans.

Balz nodded before going to meet Vanessa halfway to greet her. “Hey Nessa, you look gorgeous as usual.” He smiled and gave her a hug.

Avery smiled as she watched the two interact. She walked off to the side whenever she felt her phone vibrate and pulled it out. She had a text from Danny, asking how much longer her important family emergency was going to be. I’m not sure but I’ll let you know when I find out. she sent before sighing and putting her phone away. As she turned around, she almost bumped into Angelo. “Oh, sorry Ange.” She said, managing to catch herself.

Vanessa smiled and blushed, "You think so? I wanted to make sure I dressed well enough for your event." She said and looked at her outfit. She then looked at Josh, "You look great too. Like a million bucks." Vanessa smiled and kissed his cheek.

Ange smiled softly. "Its okay, I should have watched where I was going." He said. "Everything okay?" He asked but then offered his arm for her to take. "Let's go enjoy the party."

Josh smiled. “Thanks, Nessa.” He said as he wrapped an arm around her waist. “I guess we better get this over with.” He chuckled softly.

Avery nodded. “Of course.” She said and looped her arm with Angelo’s when he held it out. “Let’s go watch this unfold.”

I'm definitely excited to know what you named this rootbeer flavor." She said but then stopped when everyone in the main room started to cheer and clap when they saw Josh walk in.

Angelo smiled, glad that Avery looped her arm around his. "Yeah, can't wait to finally see those two love birds be together. I'm just hoping that Balz wont back out. But I dont think he will. I mean he made this launch party to dedicate it to her since he named the new drink after Vanessa." He said, giving her a little hint. He then looked at Avery and couldn't help but admire her. It felt nice to have the beauty this close to him, although he knew he couldn't do much more than that because she was taken by a guy who Angelo didnt think deserved Avery or her love and kindness. "You look great by the way. The boyfriend should be ashamed of himself for not being here with you tonight."
