Grace spent her morning answering emails and phone calls. She then started on her projects. In the back of her mind, trying to figure out an excuse to see Peter’s lawyer. She was sure his lawyer would not speak to her about his whereabouts.

Peter enjoyed his time at the beach, relaxing and watching the waves. On his way home, he decided to swing by his Lawyers office to see if any progress had been made, it was a lot for his lawyer to deal with, the sudden appearance of Peter, at these times, but the retainer was worth it.

Grace finished a project and It was time for her to go home. Again she drove by the lawyers office. This time seemed different. She had a feeling Peter was there so she parked her car and decided to go inside. She looked around for his lawyer in the tiny law firm but she noticed a tall man who she figured was Peter. “Hello, I really hope I’m not bothering you” she said

Peter was sitting waiting to see his Lawyer, who was busy, when an attractive young woman walked into the lobby. He looked up when she spoke, "oh no you're not bothering me," he said calmly. He shifted in the seat, "Who are you here to see?" he asked curious. A lawyers office was not really a place to ask what brings you here, or many other small talk questions.

Grace felt butterflies in her stomach and her heart face a little bit when he spoke to her. “Oh I’m here to see the Mr. Dawson. I’m with a publisher” she said. She couldn’t help but noticed how handsome Peter was.

Peter nodded at her comment, "ah yes, he is quite good, very understanding," he said softly, as she mentioned his lawyers' name. He wondered whether she was with his publisher, or just some other one. It was all rather intriguing to him.

Grace smiled. “Yeah he really is” she said sweetly. She wondered if he figured out that’s she is apart of his publishers. “I’m Grace. What’s your name?” She asked sweetly, extending her hand for him to shake.

Peter nodded and smiled at her softly, he thought for a moment, "John, nice to meet you," he said softly. He knew he shouldn't give his real first name here, just in case

“It’s nice to meet you John” Grace replied with a soft smile. She noticed the lawyer was still a bit busy. “What do you do for work?” She asked, wondering if he was going to lie. She knew he was Peter McBride but she wouldn’t call him out on it.

Peter smiled politely, and looked up hoping to be saved from further enquiries by his lawyer. He turned back to her, "don't you know if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life?, I try to focus on just that, doing what I love," he said cheerfully.

Grace laughed softly. “Yeah unfortunately though sometimes what you love doesn’t pay the bills. I would like to be an artist. Painting is what I love but I’m good enough to get paid” she said.

Peter chuckled at her answer, "well, that certainly does make life difficult, the dreaded dollar," he said. He hated how money somehow always managed to ruin even the best things in life.

Grace nodded. “Yeah so I work a publisher which I don’t mind because I do love books” she said. “I even got a job at my favorite authors publisher” she added as she relaxed in the chair.

Peter smiled, "well at least it's not the worst job I'm the world," he said softly. He watched her, intrigued. The moment broken as Mr Dawson came out of his office. "Ah Mr Dawson, feel free to help this fine lady first, I'm in no rush," he said quickly so he didn't call out Peter's name.

“Yeah it isn’t” Grace said as she watched him. Dawson nodded and waved over Grace. “Maybe I’ll see you around sometime” she said as she got up, walking in to the office.

Peter smiled softly at her as she mentioned seeing him around, "yeah, it was nice meeting you Grace," he said softly. He went back to reading a magazine, as Mr Dawson led her into his office.

Grace talked with Dawson. She just played it off that she was from the publisher for Peter. Her boss had mentioned that she might want to go to the lawyer in person. She explained to help to finish the book. The covers and such. Dawson understood and appreciated it.

Peter just waited patiently for her to finish her discussion with Mr Dawson. He had the suspicion that she had other motives for being here, probably hoping to learn more about who the author really was.

Grace finish her discussion with Mr. Dawson. She shook his hand and grabbed one of his cards before exiting. She smiled and waved at John. “You have a nice day John. Hope to see you around” she said before walking out to her car.
