Alone

Leo was excited, the holidays were coming up, and he would get to spend it with his family. He had always been a little weird, a little off, but Reagan understood him, and it been awhile since he'd seen his family. He was surprised, when his dad called him and told him all about the trip they had planned for the holidays, a change of scenery and all that.

Leo had been living on his own since he headed away for collage, and his dad had told him to head up to the cabin on his own, to save time. Leo has so excited he had packed everything already despite the trip still being a week away. He smiled at his phone, and typed a message to his step sister, "You packed yet? or do you need to buy more suitcases?" he loved teasing her, but the truth was, he missed her. Missed having someone to talk to that got him, understood.

Reagan was excited to go on the family trip to see Leo. They were close. She was in her senior year of high-school about to graduate. She missed Leo, trying to keep in touch as much as possible even though they were both busy. She was a cheerleader and was busy with AP classes. She was smart with straight A’s

A smile appeared on her face when Leo’s message appeared on her screen. She replied back. “For the most part yeah and possibly :p. What about you?” She sent back before putting her phone back down, going back to her homework.

Leo smirked as he read her message and shook his head. He missed her dreadfully, and was looking forward to seeing her. "All packed, kind honestly considering heading to the cabin early," he sent through to her. He had finished most of his exams for his first year of collage, and was just killing time at this point.

He was pretty confident he would pass this year with A's, after all he was studying engineering which was his passion, something about making things out of nothing, clicked with him.

Reagan worked on her homework until there was another text from Leo. A smile appearing on her face. “You should then I might come up there early” she texted back. All she she seemed to do was study and hardly ever had any time for herself. “What do you think?” She then texted

Leo had finished packing his things, and was laying down on his bed, just relaxing. He rolled over seeing the message from Reagan, "hmm you think so?" he began. He rolled over onto his front as his thumbs tapped away, "you think you can get away early?" he sent to her.

He was excited, a couple of extra days to just himself and Reagan sounded perfect, they hadn't been able to spend time together alone, for awhile.

Reagan shut her book and was packing when she got the last text. “Yeah I can managed. So meet up there in a few hours?” She sent. She then started to pack her suitcase, figuring that Leo would say yes.

Leo grinned at her reply, she always loved putting him on his toes. He tapped a reply back, "Yeah I can manage that." He turned and looked at his packing, which was all but done, and hurried to put it all in the car, it would be a bit of a drive for him, but he would make it in a few hours.

Reagan slipped on her hoodie when she read the text. She smiled and texted him back immediately. “Great see you soon x” she sent before grabbing her bag, waking out to her car. She then got in her car and it wasn’t long before she was heading to the cabin.

Leo climbed into his car and headed towards the cabin. He called into a Chinese food place as he left the city. He figured they would need to eat tonight. It ordered her favorite as best he could remember, before climbing back into his car and getting back on the road.

It was beginning to get dark as he made it to the cabin, pulling his car into the parking lot, seeing Reagan's car already here. He was so excited to see her.

Reagan had got to the cabin and got inside with the keys her mom gave her. She turned on the lights. On the way out, she got some beverages and some snacks to last them for a couple of days. Her mom told her there was cable and internet already set up. She put up the food and drinks as she heard Leo’s car pull up. She was excited to see Leo.

Leo smiled as he approached the cabin, glad to see the lights on so he didn't trip on the stairs in the dark. He approached the door, "Reagan, open up," he said as he carried the food up to the cabin door. He smiled as he saw her, putting the food down, and pulling her into a hug.

Reagan smiled and let him inside the cabin. She hugged him back. “Hey it’s so good to see you” she said as she gave him a tight hug. She hoped that they could spend alone time for a few days before their parents came. She shivered a little from the cold since she had gotten warmed up and comfortable. “Let’s take that cold jacket off” she said with a giggle.

Leo smiled as she hugged him back, "yeah, lets get comfortable, then we can catch up," he said lightly. He headed further into the cabin, and put the food on the table. He turned back towards her as he slipped his cold jacket off. He smiled, "so Reagan, how was school this year?" he asked her softly.

Reagan smile as she got the food out of the bag. “It’s alright busy as usual with AP classes and cheerleading” she said as she watched him. “What about you?” She asked.

Leo nodded, not surprised she was so busy. "College has been crazy, there is so much work to do, plus everything to keep the flat clean, I've had no rime to meet anyone new," he told her. He moved to the couch and sat down, wanting a relaxing dinner, nothing fancy.

Reagan nodded. “Yeah I bet” she said. She really didn’t have time for dating and her ex was a bit of an asshole. She went to the kitchen and got some waters. She then sat on the couch with him, handing him one. “It will be nice to be able to relax for a few days” she said. School stressed her out. She was expected to be perfect all the times. She stated to eat her dinner as she relaxed,

Leo smiled softly at her, nodding as she handed him a water. "Yes a few days if relaxing will be perfect," he stated. He sat back and began to eat slowly, "so what is the plan for tomorrow?" He asked knowing she probably had already cooked something up.

Reagan nodded. She took a bite before answering him. “Well I figured maybe we could do a hike or something. Do something outside. What do you think?” She asked after she finished her bite. “Or we could watch movies and play games if the weather is bad” she added.

Leo sat thinking for a moment, "a hike sounds perfect," he admitted. He took another bite of food, "Its good to be able to relax, and catch up, Rae," he said using his pet name for her. He had missed their simple times together, they had always gotten along.
