I've realized 90% of all My Chem slashes suck.

I don't read them anymore. Mainly original now or Panic slash or Harry Potter slash(my secret love:shifty)

^ I used to read My Chem slash on INO.
Now, I only read FOB slash or the occasional Rydon/Frerard (if the author is OMG!WOW)

I think Frerard is a hard pairing...because they're not that blunt as human beings. I mean...like, they're more secretive. Their personalities. To me...whereas, FOB are much easier to write to me.

OMG I have a little story.

I was on Discoattheslash and clicked on a story without really reading that stuff and I started reading and I was like "wait I've read this before...wtf? isn't this like Dru's or something?"
And I finally looked at the author and I was like "oooooooooooooooooooh *headdesk*"
    I'm so stupid.

Whats with the obsession with slash where all they do is have sex every minute of every day? :shifty

It doesn't bother me if the sex is written well.
Although a subliminal plotline makes me happy.

    I don't like Frerard because I don't see it's potential as canon.
And I like stories with at least a hint of potentional as canon.
Don't take this offensively, but how does it not look like a potential cannon couple. You have to pry Frankie and Gerard off each other in real life- between making out, groping each other, wearing eachother's clothes and what do. So like, what is your reasoning for thinking it isn't a canon or doesn't have the potential?

To me, it seems like they ham it up for the camera.
I don't see any real sexual, romanticism between them.
    It's just... me, probably.

My opinion is more... which is more disrespectful?
To make them fuck people of a sex they aren't attracted to or to make them fuck people to the sex they are attracted to?
You're more fucking with reality when you stick with their supposed orientation.

I don't think it matters much either way. I mean, let's be honest, its probably creepy as fuck to the artists. But its not like we're disrespecting them. We're writers--this is what we do. We take given characters with vaguely outlined personalities and histories and warp them and change them and put it on paper. Its not like we're doing this to make people feel bad or to say for a solid fact that whoever is fucking whoever and they're both gay.

I like slash , though I do get bored from reading Ferard all the time, or Waycest, it's a wee bitty beige for me. I like to try and find some fics with Bob in it, I did find one on INO and they appear to be lacking slightly here.

If the guy's from MCR did stumble onto this little hidey hole and learn that we are making them have sex with each other, yea they probably will be slightly weirded out, but I think they also have respect for the people who do this in that we are writers and this is what we do, we take bits and pieces from what we learn about other peoples personalities/history and make it into something be it a story or a poem or what not.
We all know that the guy's are 100% straight, but that doesn't mean that in our minds we can't make them be gay or even bi.

I dont know about anyone else but for me the characters walk, talk and look like MCR guys but in my minf they become almost original characters within my story. I dont know, it's odd... MCR fics become more... um... fics to me

For me, the occasional slash is okay, but I don't really read it that much. I'd also feel a little embarrassed if I had to write it, because I can't really write any type of sex scene.

But if you're a slash writer, I have no problem with you whatsoever. I mean, freedom of speech, right?

You don't have to write sex to write slash.

I honestly think that any and every pairing actually had canon-potential if you look at it a certain way. You can pair up anyone, really.

Although I once read a Billie/Harry and it didn't really work for me...

    I agree.
But most of the time the Frerards I read don't endear canon potential to me.
There are a few rare instances but typically, no. I don't find any canon in Frerard fiction and I find none in life.
When written correctly, Waycest has some of the most beautiful canon-potential.
And then there are pairings that are beyond potential like Ryden, Gabe/Will, and Vam.

I feel the same. And I'm really glad to know I'm not the only one.

Haha, I'm really surprised Bobard was mentioned, considering there are about ten on this site - and most of them are mine.
Anyway, I love slash in general. But, I'm a snob; I'll only read Waycests and Bobards, and any Fray I can find. In fact, I've gotten so addicted that I can't read het. At all. XD
