Not planning enough. I tend to just go at things with a vague idea of how I want it to end, but then I end up doing something weird in the middle that messes up my original ending. That's probably the reason why I've never finished a (good) story in my life, because I just seem to drop off when I realise that my original ending isn't going to work.
I'm also ridiculous when it comes to over-describing. My sentences can end up being stupidly long flowery things that, by the time I finish reading them through, defeat the purpose of the original action because I can't actually remember what the original action is.
And my male characters are always the same - most of them are these totally awesome bad-asses with a penchant for music and being rude to everyone they meet.
