What do you think of author's notes that ask, beg, threaten, hold chapters hostage for comments?
If you do ask for comments or feedback in your author's note, what do you think is an appropriate way to do so?
I'm not really sure if this kind of 'authors notes' are allowed, but I'm saying this because it's coming into almost every chapter of every story I've come across.
No one wants to read all these kind of comments in every chapter. The reader will comment if they think your story deserves it. Your story isn't about number of comments. If you want to add author notes put them in the summary or inform the readers in the thread of your story.
Personally, those comments put me off from even reading someone's story. It just looks messy.
Also, try not to post chapters with just 'sorry, I'll update tomorrow. COMMENT!' The purpose of chapters are for the story.
