No kidding! They're a force to be reckoned with this season it seems. I'm interested to see how Murray/Morrow/Iginla are going to fit into the team chemistry.

I am too; they are the two Pens I really like, but I feel that as a player Letang would be able to do equally as well on another team (for more $ than he's getting now) should that need to happen, where as Malkin would feel more comfortable staying in the 'burgh.

I can only imagine, haha. But I feel like Bylsma is just gonna have a bingo wheel on the bench for the next few nights to decide the lines until he sees what works.

    Seriously though, I'm pumped.

Letang has always wanted to play for Montreal so I worry that-if given the chance-he'll bolt for the border. However, Ray Shero is a god damn master mind. In Shero We Trust.

Your GM is everything ours tries — and usually fails — to be. What we got in return for the Richards/Carter trades was great but last off-season was such a bust. We put all our cards on signing Weber and it seemed like that just sucked the life out of us. Now we have no defense and no competent back-up goalie so we're overplaying Bryz and leaving him for dead. So frustrating.

There was definitely a time when Pittsburgh was like that. Pre-Crosby and towards the end of the Lemieux era was a hard time to be a hockey fan in Pittsburgh. And for the last few seasons-this one being an exception- our goaltending situation has been a bit tricky.

I feel like the whole Iggy ordeal was virtually another Weber and Parise fiasco. But this time, we got the good end of the hockey stick.

    Pardon that horrible pun.

Every time I see Bryz I feel terrible for him. He just seems like such a genuinely wonderful person.

I find watching Tuukka Rask's temper tantrums more exciting than watching hockey sometimes.

Kind of off-topic, but could anyone suggest some good L. Schenn stories? I'm kind of in a mode.

Shell Games is pretty good. I'd go with that. It focuses on his time in Toronto, though.

Too bad then, haha. I absolutely loved that story though.

Can we talk about Jagr's trade to Boston? I had a feeling he'd end up there after they lost out on Iginla.

I absolutely love it. My two teams are now stacked (with a potential D-man deal for the Pens since we're short there with injuries). Cool

My friend tried pranking me yesterday saying that we were trading Orpik because of the puck to Crosby he caused. But I called her out on it because we're so short handed on the blue line.

I don't know, though. I'm just not crazy about Jagr playing in the same conference as the my team. But whatever.

I still think he's trying to play for all 30 teams before he FINALLY retires. Lol.

Just for the blue line fact alone I would have called her out, as well. xD

I actually would like to see him play for all thirty teams before he retires, and by then people would just be going, "Holy cheese, retire already!" (*cough*Favre*cough*)

I like him better in the Eastern conference as long as it's not Philly or Montreal. Seeing Jagr in a Stars jersey just didn't fit.

Haha, the Farve comment made me smile because that's practically identical to what my dad says whenever there's talk of 'retirement'. Except there's some choice words peppered in.

I don't know. I just feel that it gets to a point where you play long enough and for enough teams and it's just time to take your leave. But that's just me.

I can't think of any off the top of my head but I could pull a one shot or something together if you like. I can't promise you it'll be any good since I've never written about Rangers before.
