    I know your pain!!
Do you ever just stare at the cars that go by in the city and think
    If only you were horses

Only me? :D Lol I do all the time :)

Oh my gosh yes!!!! I do that almost all the time.
Then I'm hit with the painful reminder that I live in Canada and in the winter (especially when it is negative 30 or below) a horse isn't going to keep me every warm.

Oh I know! I live in Michigan, so I don't get very many trail rides if I don't want to go riding on I-75 lol

I sort of ride. I leased an appaloosa x mustang for awhile last summer/fall, but haven't rode since. :(

Mostly rode Western, but tried the English saddle a few times and absolutely loved it! Looking into possibly taking lessons this fall if I can afford it.

Ooh! Hello, fellow horse riding people! Gosh, it's been almost a year since I last rode a horse. I do miss it, but I am glad that I don't miss it enough (yet, anyhow...). I only ever learned to walk, trot and canter with English tack (it's rare to find Western tack around here, although I did get the pleasure to see the Western tack of a magnificent 14hh fleabitten grey Arabian mare imported from Texas at a livery yard I volunteered at once). I had to stop riding because the stables I rode at shut down. I think I am a bit of a hopeless case though; every instructor I ever had told me that I lack the confidence and that my balance needs a lot of work. I think that either they were trying to drag lessons out to get more money from us, or my friend and I were not an ideal pairing to teach because we are at slightly different levels due to my friend having ridden in her childhood years. I saw somebody here share with us that they stared learning at 14. I think I did so too! So don't fret my friend, I guess we are/were in the same boat. Every other horse riding facility around here is so expensive! I would like to learn to jump a horse one day, but it needn't be anything formal. If I ever become friends with a horse owner and they happen to let me jump their horse over a fallen log or something that's good enough for me!

I had some experience working with horses starring in Film, T.V and modelling, which was fun but showed just how hectic a busy yard can be! One of the horses I worked with was an ex-racehorse owned by Dragons' Den Entrepreneur Peter Jones - a lovely chestnut called Jupitor.

Random question, but what is the tallest and smallest height of horse you have all worked with?
For me, I think the smallest is just your average Shettie size whereas the biggest was an 18hh Shire.

I know how to ride a horse, and I really enjoy it, but sometimes I don't like riding them because of the dangers that could befall on me. My mother fell off a horse because the saddle wasn't properly on the horse, which made me a little hesitant to ride a horse again. But I do like riding them even though I don't have access to them at the moment.

Other equestrian people yes! I grew up riding and I still ride. I've ridden many different horses, but finally have one of my own--a lovely Cremello Paint mare named Luna, she's 16hh. I'm an eventer and competed with the USEF until college hit and rode with the US Pony Club too. Now that I'm in college it's a bit harder to find time to ride but I'm hoping to bring my mare up here soon!!

I ride too :) I have a 17hh bay ex-racehorse, whom I do affiliated eventing and dressage, and some unaffiliated show jumping with. He's a babe :)

I also work on an event yard, which means loads of riding :)

I used to have a horse, until she passed away last year. I have been riding for about 2 years, I ride Western though I am learning dressage. Horses are pretty much everything to me. I pay more attention to horses than I do my schoolwork so cx
