Hmmm...I just read an article in the paper that said English clubs have no respect for Scottish clubs. It's horrible to think, but it is kinda true.

It used the example of the Celtic player Beram Kayal, whom was branded world class by some people, and Bolton had the bloody nerve to offer 2 million for him, but they want 17 million for Gary Cahill?!Like, what the hell? Kayal is worth at least 8 million. Most English clubs buy players from Scotland at horrible prices, prices which should insult the players talent.

It went on to say that the two best teams in Scotland are not even on par with the Championship. Celtic went into the last 16 a few years back! I'd love to see Reading do that.

Damn, stupid paper, making me rant.

On the bright side, Englands under 21's line up looks pretty good.

i suppose if you can buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest, you're going to be rather pleased with yourself.
but no of course clubs from england + swansea must spend £45m+ on a player from scotland because he plays in scotland, you're right

surely comparing the scottish league with the championship has nothing to do with lack of respect for scottish clubs hm

hope powell's named her 21-woman squad for the world cup, i'd like to say that i like it, but sue smith and rachel williams deserve a spot at the very least. it's lovely to see siobhan chamberlain and karen carney there though, along with faye white, ellen white and fara williams :)
i can't see the first half of the match vs mexico because of work experience :(

Most of the world call it football.... apart from the American's, who just had to be different.

To the under 21's championship. I won't lie, everyone is loving England's lack of winning up here in Scotland. But, Ukraine? I find it quite sad that they got so much hype and yet they have underperformed. i would say Scotland could do better but....that would be lying. Spain have been good though, not the same story for Iceland...

Gah, fixtures as well today. I was well hoping for a chelsea/Liverpool starting fixture, the crap that went down last time because of Torres..... classic. Villa/Bi-ham would have been good too, as ol' Eck decided to jump ships.

where i come from it's called association football. (i won)

i haven't been watching the u21s but i'm over excited for the world cup ennit :-)

that old bollocks about 'no derbies on boxing day/new years but we're trying to get the places as close as possible to reduce travel', then they pull out arsenal v wolves for boxing day. bloody hell.

chelsea - liverpool's right near my maths exams and all, i'm really good so it shouldn't be that bad but :( at least the everton fixtures aren't too bad for exam times...

5th july, the conference fixtures come out. can't wait :3 have to go through ~JULY 4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ first but eh...should be worth it

hopefully mcleish can re-earn the respect i had for him, but he'll be kicked out by the fans way before that happens...

I hope to God that there isn't a GB football team. I mean, why the hell would anyone want that?

Northern Ireland will agree to anything, I think their manager said something about he was happy about the idea...

Then Scott Brown (Scotland/Celtic) said in the paper that 'A team GB is a stupid idea, why would be want a GB team when we all know that it will be mostly English players that play? The Scottish side is just starting to get together again, FIFA will ruin that, we've hit to may nerves on the FIFA side. Plus, I'm not to keen on playing with the English, it's a Scottish thing.'

I should point out that Brown is a captain and has the biggest mouth in the SPL.

Personally I think it's crazy. northern Ireland can't beat Wales. Wales can't beat Scotland. And God knows what it would be like to have all four of the nations on the one pitch.

i feel a GB team could work, but only in the womens. there are proper quality scots around, such as beattie, and then you put them with players from the other three, it's a powerhouse.

but the controversy on the mens is doing me head in and if no-one can see a bright side, then stuff it.

i still don't think a gb team would say that it's not worth having scottish and welsh teams etc...

...i also think that chelsea matches are now worth watching. ahem.

Did anyone else hear that comment about Ander Herrera on the radio?

England were lucky not to win that game against Spain, they had far better chances than Spain in the second half. And lets not forget how Spain actually scored. I'll have to watch replays of the final, just to make sure he didn't raise his arms again. - person on talksport.

I'll admit, it was a hand ball. But to say that, to mock his talent on a small slip up he made? It's sad, it's sad that people can't get over things. I think also to target Herrera was rather stupid. And England weren't even playing them, I don't see why that person would even bother wasting their time to phone in and call Ander Herrera a cheater.

And, Oh, God, Manchester Utd are in for Celtics player of the year Izaguirre. For fuck sake why can't English clubs leave Scotlands best players alone! No one gave two fucks about Emilio Izaguirre before he joined Celtic, and now those red idiots want to buy him? It's like Scotland is some sort of reserve for England clubs. Why don't Manchester have all our best players. Kayal, Hooper, Commons, Stokes. And the media wonders why celtic are shit in Europe....cos all the decent ones got to England, Turkey or Russia.

I see lots of promising things for Spain. Their U-21 team won so maybe when the guys on the senior side start to retire, we'll see new faces who could win too.

I swear to god, if Cesc Fabregas doesn't go to Barcelona soon, I will personally drag his Spanish ass there myself. There is no point having a player that doesn't want to be there, Arsenal should know that.

I'm glad that Hearts suspended that pervert guy. There was no need to disgrace Scottish football anymore by letting that man back into the Jambos dressing room.

And I like that Boas guy, though, if he brings in Ramos from Madrid (which I'm sure is just a rumor) he will help that man sleep easier at night. Horrible nightmares about not being able to stop Messi....

I hate this time of year when you have to buy new strips. I actually thought of getting Ki on the back to save some money cos it was less letters... but I didn't and ended up spending £59 for this ugly thing. Thankfully it's an international strip and cos we always do shit in Europe we won' be wearing it.

King Ally doesn't seem to be signing any payers for the so-called champions of Scotland...one Celtic player said he should take a look on Eurosport and try for some of the woman footballers. Hell, they're more likely to sign ME than Carlos Cuellar. Haha.

Gah, another reason for no team GB football. In a few months Scot's will be banned from singing God Save The Queen at matches and such. Scotland government and SFA is such a fail. They'll be getting us to play like Spain and Holland next, oh wait, that's the plan.

Oh, Charlie Adam is a red now. Hopefully he'll go down as another great Scottish player for Liverpool. Now there's like two decent Scottish players, yeah! But be warned, he thinks he's Pele and has his head up his arse half the time.

Sorry, but he did play for Rangers.

And thank the lord Bellamy isn't coming to Celtic...we don't need another headcase...Anthony Stokes has been fined more times than Sir Alex has won trophies.

Not very liked...just like Gary Neville.
It was an all Scottish Celtic team that won the European cup/Champions league.

Arg, Celtic are playing the Man Utd (or as they are known up here, a bunch of taggers) for a testimonial. Should be good. We've got Man City as well, and Wolves. Jesus Christ, and they said they didn't want the old firm to join the English league. Sorta hoping it'll be a fulham/Celtic Europa league final already. Saying that, never underestimate the power of Celtic's ability to play shite.

Brighter note, football manager 2011 is going well, well, as good as it can be when you manage Zaragoza. I think one of my players has weaker knees that Daniel Agger, and Kaka!

liverpool haven't won a title without a scot in the squad...seeing as we're sharing scottish facts yep

if liverpool buy downing then we'll have spent £75m on buying carroll, henderson and downing. their price doubles just because they're english, agh :l
and i don't like this young (and hopefully english) idea that we seem to have...i don't give a shit about their nationality as long as they're good, and having older players isn't bad. gary mac for example, he was brought in, everyone thought the gaffer was mental, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision :l

and i just wish they'd wrap up this fabregas thing for god's sake...or just send him to korea or something and we can forget about him :D

i understand that arsenal are playing in china on saturday...i'll be in china on sunday morning so i do hope they're gone by then, christ :l

£75m! for three players. makes celtic look poor, we got 7 players for under £10m.

I want more English players at celtic, i mean, Gary hooper is a legend already. 20 goals in his first season and he still didn't get to play for the U21 squad? All the celtic fans were like ' Excuse me Mr Pearce, did you watch this guy play?'

I think if we've learned one thing is that sometimes older players aren't the best. (looks at Sheva)

i wrote an article for mibba about the fabregas thing that's still getting activated. Half of it was defending Xavi about being replaced. I'm forever proud to have Xavi on the back of my Barcelona top than Messi.

On the subject of Korea...on this youtube video: Ki Sung Yeung Amazing goal it has comments about liverpool scouting. When I read the comments I was like 'You're all shiting me. You are all actual taking the piss. Ki is ours, he must take the piss out of Rangers, not Everton!'

in the conference, almost every transfer is a free...i know it's the conference so no-one has any money (apart from crawley) (although they're in league two now), but still :l

i understand that standard chartered have told liverpool to buy asian players because their market is generally asian etc. that's probably where it's come from...
i've said it already but buying players because they're a certain nationality is a god awful idea :|

i have names on the back of only two of my shirts :B

I don't think there's one nationality that's part of celtic, well, we've always had a few irish boys, but that's it. Hell, we even have a Honduran! I didn't even know Honduras was a country before the last world cup.

Urg, Argentina are out of the Copa America, all the Ronaldo lovers will love that. Stupid Tevez, can't score a penalty and somehow the media will find a way to blame Messi for Argentina going out.

Keeping with Argentina, why the hell do Man City want Sergio Kun Aguero? Haven't english clubs learned that when they buy a striker from Athletico that it doesn't always end well. Though, he is really good, he could replace Tevez easily, and be better.
