Soccer

I'm thinking that next year I'm going to join the boy's football team at school, since they don't have a girl's team. I mean, I've played before out of school in a girl's team but at my age now I'll have to play in women's league.. and since it's my last year of high school I want to give it a shot. xD

I love soccer. But before summer, I had to quit because of my mother and I didn't want to try out for school soccer because that would've made me too self conscious to play good.

My favorite position was/is wing. I played wing most of the time because I was one of the three daring enough to try a new position and daring enough to run that much. Being a wing for the rest of my team was like a death sentance but I loved to run enough so that I was so completely sweaty that sweat was practically falling in waterfalls off my face.... haha, I'm wierd. Most girls I know think stuff like that is gross, I'm just the opposite of them, so yeah.

But, yeah, soccer is like the best sport out there known to mankind. :D

I'm thinking of trying out this spring for TCYSA because I like it better than the school soccer teams. :P

I've been playing soccer since I was about 3, and it's pretty much been my life, I couldn't imagine NOT playing soccer. Center defense is the shiz. I even have the possibility to expand my soccer playing to Austria in the summer of '09. I'm thrilled.

I love love love soccer.
I actually have 2 games tomorrow.
Ones at 7 and then one at 9. It's gonna kill me :/

But I play left defense, and I love it!:)

Oh god I love football so much. I adore Liverpool and Real Madrid. I generally hang out on football communities on LJ. I watched two games yesterday, one in real time and one on t'internet. I can play myself though haha, I suck.

LIVERPOOL! LIVERPOOL! Awesome goals, and I'm going round to my mate's house to watch the Liverpool- Man U game on Saturday. Torres and Gerrard to score, Carragher to get man of the mstch, and Man U to have a player sent off (well, we can but hope! :-p).

I was so chuffed on Tuesday. It was only the next day I felt kinda bad for Real, but the best team won on the night.

Oh god, I'm kinda dreading the the game on Saturday. I hate Man U so much if I'll be so gutted if we don't win. We need to pull another Tuesday night.

I know right! It was such a thriller! I was jumping up and down and yelling at the tv. My dad kept laughing at me because I was so into it. Both teams played fantastically I must say and I'm as gutted as I thought I would be. I guess I'm just looking forward to Chelsea being thrashed by Barcelona hahahaha.

Justice for the 96. It was the 20th anniversary of Hillsborough today, and cried a fair bit.

I wish soccer was bigger in the States. But I'm a big ManU fan (; heheh.

I'm glad they got a women's professional league started up again, here!

I'm with callingallskeletons - I wish soccer was bigger in North America. My city actually had a proposal to build a MLS stadium and get a soccer franchise, but it's been pushed aside in favour of the Canadian Football League promise from the plan for the other stadium location. It sucks utterly, since I hate football, and it's sort of a dying sport here. Soccer, on the other hand, is growing. It would rock my world if we got a soccer team. I'm hoping they can turn the one location into a field for both CFL and MLS, otherwise I'll be stuck with dratted American Football. Grr.

Other than that I've been playing 14 year, got moved around alot (have played sweeper, striker, and outside mid in the last three years), and finally made my first competitive team this year! Boo Yeah! My dad never let me try out as a kid, but when I started trials last year, his eyes definitely got opened to some of the benefits...

I'm also a Man U fan. I don't really follow the league, but I've got cousins named Trafford, so I've got to go with family loyalty

I don't play soccer as a sport, but I love watching it. I'm a runner. hehe.

I'm a Real Madird, and Deportivo fan. I support the Spanish national team. I love how everyone works together and they position themselves. I can't wait to see the World Cup next year. Spain will win. They're the number one soccer team in the world right now according to FIFA.
