Is this thread still warm?? Why don't we rewarm it for this month's
Forum Frenzy ? I will start!!
Hey guys!! I've been on the ice since I was six years old, AGES ago...(sheesh, time flies!!) I've done synchro, ice dance, pairs and singles... but my love is definitely freestyle; I think it's the challenge that I absolutely am addicted to. I also love doing "trick moves", like the hydroblade, inverted sit spin, inverted spirals, etc.
As of right now, I have "retired" from the competitive circuit for a multiple reasons, and to be fully honest, I haven't been all too competitive for a few years. Now all I mostly do is coach little kids in Basic Skills, which is some of the funnest times on the ice! (seriously, some of the kids are just tooo cute!!!)
But I'm kinda missing the life of pushing myself and so I am in the process of getting back into shape!!

It's really addicting, isn't it??? You seem very driven; keep up the hard work!!
Even though I didn't get to take the ice on an Olympic stage, I have an old friend that just came back from Sochi. She and I used to practice together at one of the local rinks. She brought home the bronze she got with the team event, and anyone can see it's a life-changing experience. She's got a new partner now, so I'm hoping to see her back in the competitive circuit soon enough!

I miss seeing all the allstars of the skating world; it's almost strange to see the competition without them in it. Though I totally enjoyed watching Hanyu Yuzuru...seriously, that boy makes that quad look like it is nothing. I'm somewhat jealous with his ability. And Jeffrey Buttle did an amazing job on his short program.
