I do tap, I love it. I've done it for about six years, I think. I never took ballet but I think my tap class is changing it slightly so it's like a tap jazz combination...sounds like fun, I can't wait. I haven't dance competitively yet - at the end of every year, I just perform in recitals.

And in fifth grade, I took this jazz dance class that the school offered. And that year I remember in fifth grade when the music teacher would just teach us random line dances. =)

I love dancing, it's a very fun stress reducer type thing for me.

I do Tap, Ballet, Freestyle and Theatre craft.
I have done since I was 3 and I'm now 15, so that's 12 years. I'm on a break though now. I've danced competitively for about 10 years and I've danced during theatre shows in front of hundreds of people for many nights during show times.
I've also got quite a few awards: Preliminary Tap medal x2, Juvenile Ballet award, IDTA Prepatory grade x3, grade 1,2 and 3 Theatre craft, Freestyle award x4, grade 1,2 and 3 Tap, grade 1,2 and 3 ballet, Bronze, silver and gold award Freestyle and gold bar 1 and 2.

So I've got quite a few achievements XD
I love dance, It's just amazing how much you can express yourself using movement. I like ballet and tap best, I love how graceful ballet is and the range of different sounds and styles available in Tap dance. Freestyle is probably the most enjoyable type of dance that i've done, it's kind of like Disco but not the 70's and 80's cliche that that brings with it. It's just dancing to popular music and learning street dance moves, it's really fun and a great calorie burner. Theatre craft is my least favourite but I still enjoy it.

I've taken every kind of class, but I have no grace for ballet or imperative.
So I did pom/jazz and tap when I was little.
    And gymnastics a lot also.
    Hip hop was thrilling too.
I danced for twelve years then I stopped.
    I miss it though.
I think I'm starting again in the fall.

i dont dance, but i think its stupid how some people don't think its a sport. i used to and if you want to persue dance when you're older it takes dediaction and hard work. gymnastics is a sport and you have to have almost the same skills. you have to work out and be agile while being muscular and its hard. people should definitley appreciate dancers more. to all you dancers, i salute you! you are all amazing!

    I do modern dance.
It's a little bit like hip hop.
    We dance on pop music.
It's a little bit video clip dance.

We're now dancing on Kat Deluna - Run the show.
And some movements looks like the movements they do in the clip.
    It's really fun!

When I was 5 or 6 years old I started dancing. I did Jazz.
It was a really good teacher, but she had to quit 3 years ago, and now I do the sort of video clip dance.

I love dancing. It's my life.

    And DANCING IS A SPORT.
We sweat a lot, and maybe you don't sweat with ballet [Although some people do sweat with ballet]. It isn't just, "Oh let's dance an hour or 2" it takes a lo of energy.
    It's heavier then shooting!
And they say shooting is a sport, it's atleast an olympic sport.I don't understand them. DANCING IS A SPORT.

    Dancing is so totally Awesome!

I am on drill team. I have been since seventh grade and i wish i had been on since sixth. Fourth year and second on varsity!! Though its more strict than other types of dance I still love it. I work my butt of for those two minutes of glory and it is so worth it. I love dance.

All types of dance are amazing. They are all so expressive in one way and they are all great.

I love the feeling you get when you do a dance with a group and everyone is doing is so well and in time and you can it just looks great.
And I love the hard work I put it in.
And the tired feeling afterwards but the urge to keep on dancing. :D

I started ballet when I was about 2 years old.
It was something my mother wanted me to do.
I never really started to appreciate it until the past couple of years though.
I also do jazz, tap, non-pointe, mod, acro, hip-hop, Irish step, and a few others.
Dancing helps me escape from the world, and I feel like I'm flying whenever I'm on stage.

and dance is too a sport. to anyone who disagrees, i would love to see you get in a pair of tights, a leotard and stand on your toes for hours at a time. you need to be flexible, agile, have balance, and you need to be strong. it can be really exhausting!

I've been dancing since I was about three, but I didn't really start to get into it until a few years ago. I love dance; I love how completely exhausted I feel after leaving the studio. I'm not too fond of some of the teachers, but I deal with it. I dance jazz, lyrical, tap, hip-hop, and ballet. My favorites would have to be tap and hip-hop.

And I've kind of always wanted to do pointe, but I'm afraid that the second I put on the shoes I'm going to fall and break my ankle.

Anyone who suggests that dance is not a sport will probably get a tap shoe thrown at their face. :XD

I was a competive highland dancer for 15 and a half years! But I am now in my first year of university and therefore moved away from home and have now stopped. Though I always dance around and just dance on my own - I'll always love it dearly.
I also took Canadian Step for a year but disliked the teacher/studio and never went back to it.

I took dance from when I was 3 up until 2 years ago, so I could take acting classes. I vowed to never do it again, but I went to my friend's dance recital a few months ago, and realized how much I miss it. I took: ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop. If I were to do it again, I'd probably do jazz.

Off to go convince my mom to let me do it again.
