I love to dance even if it's not professional. Free style is the best way. :tehe:

I was in dance for three years. This next school year, I'm out. My knees can't take it anymore. The classes our school has go by three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced/Intermediate. We alternated weeks with ballet, jazz, and modern/lyrical. On Fridays we did hip-hop, tap, or Horton. I hated tap so much; fun for me to watch, but not for me to do. I will miss performing though.

I do improv dance, a mix of ballet and stuff. It's a lot easier, tap and clogging sounds fun though.

    Aww. That sucks. Sad

Sometimes, I think dance is better to watch than to perform anyways. I mean, some of the kids at my school are really, really, really good. :shifty

^ Haha. That's so true. I have people commenting on how good my dancing is but compared to this guy at my school who can break, pop, etc very well for his age, I'm all, "Err, do you guys really think so about me? o.o; " Lately, I've been wondering whether DDR had partially something to do with it since I literally grew up playing that and I even recently began freestyling the songs (but not up to the point where I'm super crazy good like what you'd see on YouTube). :tehe:

Dance is one of my main choices for high school electives next year. It'll be either that or marching band that's gunna pop up in my schedule (I much prefer dance the more I think about it lately). I tend to stick to hip hop and freestyle 'cause that's what I'm most comfortable but I'll likely going to have a blast learning and dancing to the different ones at school. :cute:

^ There's this boy who goes to the same dance school as I do.

Let's just say he's amazing, because there really aren't enough adjectives to describe how well he dances. :shifty

I love watching guys dance, actually. :file: Possibly because the majority of dancers are female, but meh.

I think it's very manly when guys are "working it" in their dance, but that's just me. :file:

In my experience guys tend to be better dancers. Most of the guys in Dance class this past year were beginners and could do a lot more than any of the girls. Mind, girls are notorious for having a greater leg strength and guys upper arms strength.

Really? I thought the guys had larger thigh muscles, so they can jump higher and such. :file:

That's what my teacher tells us, anyways.

Yeah, guys are better dancers, as long as they actually want to be dancing. Some of the boys I've come across were forced to do it. If you're a male dancer, usually you have a lot more dedication because dancing "is not what boys should do" or other idiotic social perceptions such as that.

So, yeah. I really have a lot of respect for male dancers. :cute:

I used to be in Ballet.
    Then in Dance/ Gymnastics.

But haven't done any sports since, haha.

I was in the second grade at the time.

Dance is going to be starting up again for me soon.

I'm really excited. It's time to make the trip to the dance store once again, and buy some new stuff for the coming year. It's like a ritual for me. :tehe:

I took dancing for about 8/9 years then I dropped out for soccer, now I'm in a week long camp thing and today we did 'street jazz' and I really like it. I may quit soccer for it, but I really, really love soccer - it's a really hard decision :shifty
