This year I'm doing ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, and jazz. All on the same day. :twitch:

I'm not sure how I'm going to survive this. Wednesdays are going to be exhausting.

I used to take ballet when I was younger. I don't know what happened though. I wonder why I quit?

I kind of miss it, but now I just dance when I have to, for example, my friend's quinceanera.

I am doing my first year of ballet this year~~, and my second year of jazz. I'm so excited!!

I also hate people that think that dance isn't a sport, let's see them try to do like an hour of cardio/stretching and the dance there buts off, then let's see if they still do not think it's a sport.

I always go to my friend's dance recitals. It looks like a lot of fun. I think I want to do either ballet or hip hop this year. :con:

^ You should. It's so much fun. :tehe:

I just went to the dance store. I got some legwarmers, among other things. I feel pretty spiffy, if I do say so myself. :coffee:

I've been dancing since I could walk, I began dancing at a company at the age of six, and stopped three years later because of extended costs that my family couldn't pay for.
I've danced Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-hop and a mix between hip-hop and modern at my school.
I've recently begun looking at going to Juliana's, one of the best dance school's in the US. I LOVE to dance.

I wanted to be a dancer when I was little. I went to lessons and everything, but I got bored of it after a while and switched to karate lessons
I want to learn to dance tango now, though.

I took dance when I was little, up until about the sixth grade, then I got lazy and stopped. I choose video games after that >_> I kind of wish I was still dancing because I would have to worry about staying in shape.

I used to do ballet. Classical and contemporary, which incorporates a lot of modern moves mixed with gymnastics, I have no idea why it's considered contemporary ballet. :P

I have done ballroom dancing pretty much all my life. I'm actually a competative dancer still. Got a few trophies on me. XD I have an amazing partner who is NOT gay. Seriously just because the boy dances doesn't mean he's gay. Jesus, people are so stereotypical sometimes!

I also did hip-hop and jazz for a few years. Never got into it. Ballroom's my favorite. I have no idea why people think it's not a sport. Stupid. It's even more exhausting than some olympic sports so they can suck it. It's just graceful and entirely artistic so they can't really judge it at the olympics, at least that's what people say. Bullshit. There's still a structure to it, so I think it should be an olympic sport.

I love dancing and it's the only sport out of the millions I've tried, that I've stuck with. It's amazing and beautiful.

Ok so you all are pretty good dancers from what I read so I need your help if you can. I want to learn/improve my foulettes. (sorry I may not have spelled that right.) and work on my turns. Im a beginner with no past training and my parents dont support me dancing at all and I just really need your help. So if you can, you can send me a pm or post on here or send me a comment. Thanks so much.

I used to do a lot. When I was little, I did hip-hop and Philippino cultural dances. When I got a little older, I started taking contemporary and jazz. I wasn't a fan. Not that I don't like those styles! No. They just weren't for me.

Then I picked up Latin ballroom and just last year I quit because life got too hectic.

Now I'm taking the advanced dance class at school.

I have done ballet since I was about 5. I love it but I prefer jazz ballet to classical.

I love dancing. I took ballet for a few years when I was younger. I did cheerleading, which in my case was kind of like dance. Later on I did hip-hop and modern which I absolutely loved.

haha, woww. i just read what i wrote over a year ago and im laughing about how much its changed.

i went from dancing full time in studio, do my schools dance team and part time studio.

the dance team is actually more work thank all that studio, even though youd think for a school dance team we'd probably suck. but our warm-ups are totally INTENSE. and they really emphasize on being perfectly in tune with each other a lot more than studio too.

but the weirdest thing? we do jazz, pom, lyrical, and incorporate hip-hop, but all of that is like a combination of tumbling, cheerleading (but far less annoying than our schools cheerleaders), ballet, studio things, you name it, we do it.

honestly by far one of the most challenging things ive ever tried in my life. and in almost fifteen years of experience that it saying a lot.

but i would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
