I adore sex scenes in stories, I am a bit of pervert, but pff.

They can contribute so much to a story if written and worked well into the story, not just a randomly badly written one, that is just as someone said before *shudders* and I really, strongly disagree with the person who said there are rarely sex scenes in normal books not from a porn store.

I'm sorry, but that is rubbish. Anything not in the kids/teens section (I'm not sure how things are sectioned in other countries) but in the adult sections are most likely to have smutty sex scenes, and gosh how I love them. I just read on tonight in Cheyenne McCray's Forbidden Magic, it was so well done and tied in perfectly.

I'm currently writing a sex scene, but I think I'm a bit rusty with it, haven't written one in so long.

But with saying all that I am not so keen over reading a sex scene by a person who hasn't had sex before.

But I have a question ... is using the word "cunt" going too far?

I've never actually written a scene with sex in it. But it does bother me when there's just simply to much detail. But as long as it's relevant to the actual story and stuff.. but that's just me.

And of course books don't even exist outside Barnes and Noble.
Actually here there's a growing interest in ''unconventional'' books. A pretty big newspaper is having this special promotion and they give away erotic fiction classics with the weekend edition. It might come as a shock, but some of the books are actual good.

i don't mind it but I don't know whether I'm good at writing it at all. Never really wrote any hardcore stuff here.

But I don't think it has to be there and some stories are better for having sex as a theme throughout the story but never any actual overly detailed sex scene. So...yeah.

I think a writer should write what they feel they need to.
A true writer is lead by the pen, not the other way around.
And if sex comes out, who are you [not to anyone in particular] to say it's "wrong"?

    ^ I totally agree.
I like to think people write for themselves, rather than writing for an audience or whatever.

I guess sex in stories are okey :coffee:
    I just don't like the 'Graphic-Sex-In-The-First-Three-To-Five-Chapter'
Unless of course, if it's a one shot.
I don't like the ones that have a sex scene in every flippin' chapter!

I really like sex scenes in stories. Not because I'm a dirty perv but because it spices up things in the story.. like.. it adds something interesting in the story.

I agree with you in there. Except that.. example, there's a sex scene in chapter one then next chapter's a flashback.

I don't like sex scenes in every chapters too. It's gonna get boring 'cause they do nothing but have sex. :coffee:

Personally, I find sex in stories to be great. I agree with the person above me (except I know I'm a perve :tehe:) it usually makes a story more interesting.
But a story with nothing but sex after sex after sex can get very tiring. :XD

Currently I'm writing a short threesome story, and so far, it's had sex, or at least mentions of it, in the first few chapters...
I don't think it's bad unless the story is a romance with the intent of a side of sex, rather than just a porn fic.

That's why I love this site-- There's so much freedom. In my opinion, if you're writing a romance and two characters are getting close to getting it on, it would only be annoying to cut it out, because it almost says the author is embarrassed to write it, you know? If an author isn't comfortable with writing it, or can't write it well, don't write it at all.

On another note, don't read if you don't want to read. Ahaha. Easy as that. I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said. Haha.

But banning? Nonono. I think writers can broaden their horizons by having so much freedom, which helps them grow into more seasoned, sylistic authors.

I think I love you. In Love Thank you. [/spam]

I wrote one sex scene, posted it and I hate it now. It's terrible. But I love reading them, I'm horny. I'm not afraid to say it. :tehe:

Yeah I know what your talking about. One has beauty and the other is a bunch of whores. But in my eyes their really isn't a difference. It's my opinion you can't really change it, and thats kind of what you were doing to Mockingbird(?) They don't agree you try and try to restate it until they love it.
