One night I woke up and there was a demon in my room.

You have no idea how much that comment just freaked me out. How do you know it was a demon?

It felt demonic. I told my mom about it and she said other people have reported the same thing.

First it was this black shape near the window and then it moved so it was over me. I said the Lord's Prayer over and over in my head until it left. I couldn't see the details of it, but I could see it and I could see it move.

That makes me want to believe in demons.

It could have been something else, though, couldn't it?
I mean, it could have felt and looked pretty demonic, but it could have been an angry spirit, or bad energy. I've heard that when people are overcoming a hard time, they see things like demons and such that really are bad energy being drawn toward them. If that's the case, just stay as positive as possible when encountering another... Why do you think it was there?

I find it kind of scary how things and people can get in our heads and just... do so many different things to mess with us.

There's this rule in Wica [And Paganism as well, I think] wear each action has a thrice sized reaction. [Did that make sense?]

I got sick the next day. The next Harry Potter movie I was going to go see, I couldn't go to. And the spell... kind of backfired. I got the opposite effect. I don't believe in coincidences, so it really creeped me out.

I don't believe that tarot cards, palm readings, tea leaf readings, or anything like that is the work of the devil. I won't get a tarot reading done or anything because I personally don't feel comfortable with it, but I don't think it's a sin to do so. I think it's partly to do with having an Atheist mother that is very into paganism. I read books about the zodiac and whatnot though. I left my church when they told me I'd go to hell for reading Harry Potter.

I never really give much thought to the paranormal. I find it fascinating, yes, but I don't know, I just don't. I suppose I do believe in ghosts and lingering spirits, but I don't know really. I'm kind of just on the boarderline. I guess I don't really care because I've never actually seen a ghost. I have felt like I was beeing watched before though, and whether it be paranoia or something supernatural, it was just plain weird.

And about the thrice sized reaction, it does make sense. It is karma. What you give out comes back to you threefold, whether good or bad.

I attempted a spell one day, to possibly help cure the tension between my boyfriend and I. You had to repeat a line three times, and after every single time, you had to eat a berry. It had to be a red berry, and we had none in the house, so I picked some wild strawberries from our backyard. The spell totally backfired, and the tension between my boyfriend and I got even worse. It lasted for a solid month, and we almost broke up because of it.
But, now that I think of it...we are doing amazing. I am kind of wondering if maybe the spell backfired to see if it was worth saving the relationship from the tension, but I do not know. Maybe it is just all in my head.

My mom reads up on tarot cards. I have never gotten my cards read, and I would really like to. My mother and I, both do not think tea-leaf readings are very credible. I am more into animal guide readings. I will ask my mom for one every now and again (speaking of which, I should ask her for one. I have no had one in quite awhile). My mom practices Shamanism, so it is easy for me to talk to her about this sort of stuff.
I love magick. I believe fully in it. I visit this store called the House of Ravenwood in Yellow Springs, Ohio every once in awhile. It is a Pagan store, and I love it.

Now, this may freak some people out, but does anyone believe in Faeries?

My mom's boyfriend has this theory [it's buddhist, actually] that people that hurt you in this life are actually friends of yours that you made before you both you came to this side and they are helping you, making you stronger by hurting you. It's like, you made a deal before you were born that you would "hurt" eachother.

Of course, that brings me to reincarnation. I'm definitely a firm believer in reincarnation.

My mom is a manager of a convenience store in Kettering. She was with one of her coworkers one day and they were just screwing around. My mom was mopping the floor, and her coworker stepped down on the head of the mop. My mom pulled it out from under her, and the girl fell right on her butt. Almost two weeks later, my mom was walking out into our front yard, and she managed to trip over the porch and onto the concrete. She managed to sprain her ankle, get a horrid bruise on her knee, and chip a corner off of the concrete sidewalk. =S

And as strange as it might sound, I see things and have wholes is my mind sometimes. Pieces of experience you just cannot recall, places in your mind that are just blank.
I don't think aliens would abduct me, I don't know why would God or a spirit want to send me a message, so I'll say that those weren't actually paranormal experiences, I'm just crazay.

My grandmother on the other hand has a lot of spooky stories about ghosts and spirits. I believe hers because I can imagine why a spirit would want to visit her, I just don't think I'm important enough to be visited by a demon. Why would one visit me if he/she/it could go scare someone cool like Dru ? See, it makes perfect sense.

Oh, that reminds me! The exact same thing happened to me! My mom used to have this collection of these wind up things like you said, except hers were all hummingbird ones. One time I came home and they all started playing. It happened numerous times. Mind you, there were, like, seven of them.

She might have been trying to let you know she misses you, too.

And Lovesick., just because you think you do not deserve to be visited by a spirit does not mean you should not be. It is not something that is deserved. You do not have to be cool to be visited by any kind of paranormal creature. Obviously if that spirit chose you to be the receiver of the said message, then you must have showed some significant importance.

And once again, might I add, I do not believe that demons exist.

That's a good point. But, I still don't think everything is a karmatic reaction. But I still don't see how the "1/10" thing can be proven, really, but I understand what you're saying.
