And Lovesick., just because you think you do not deserve to be visited by a spirit does not mean you should not be. It is not something that is deserved. You do not have to be cool to be visited by any kind of paranormal creature. Obviously if that spirit chose you to be the receiver of the said message, then you must have showed some significant importance.
Well if I were a spirit I wouldn't chose myself to send a message. It's not a matter of worthiness but rather a matter of effectiveness. I am not a communicative person. I am not going to send the message to others. I'm not the kind of person to star in a horror movie. Again all the good/rich/cool/smart/stupid/silly/funny people out there and you pick me ? Silly spirit.

That's why I don't even think that everything good or bad that happens in my life has anything to do with God/demons/The Devil/Spirits etc. why out of so many people from some many times would you chose me ?

Once again, you must show some form of an important significance to that spirit. And the message may just be to you, and to nobody else. That message could be something only meant for your eyes or ears. When a spirit sends you something, it might not mean that it is for someone else.

Well, maybe someone/ something wanted you to know that you are more than you believe you are. Maybe it/he/she wanted you to know something about yourself, rather than passing on a message. There are many different reasons you can be contacted by a spirit.

I figured as much, considering I hadn't put any batteries in it.

My old TV used to randomly turn on and my stereo. I've lived in this house for like 10 years and I'm terrified of my basement. I hate being down there alone and I leave the lights on all the time, even when I'm not down there. and if one happens to burn out, I run really fast like something's chasing me.

When I was a kid, we lived in this one house. I don't remember the house that much. But there was pink room and a blue room. The pink room was supposed to be mine. My mom opened the door when we moved in and she got this really cold feeling and I flipped out. Majorly. (I was about 2 years old?). We never went in that basement either. My mom boarded it up because she just got this really eerie feeling...we didn't live there very long.

Something really bad happened to my grandma with a ouija board, nobody knows what because she never spoke about it. She used to do tarot cards until she read someone's death and they died. She never did them again. Before she was diagnosed with cancer she wrote something in a journal that I found after she died. I was visiting my grandpa and I was sitting in her room when I found it. It said "I'm going soon." something was scribbled after it but I couldn't read it. I never told my mom or anyone about it. I have it hidden away.

    Oh... wow.
That's just plain proof that there really is paranormality.
Before my great granduncle died, I had a dream where he was dead. It wasn't like he died in the dream, it was just like the dream was me thinking he was dead. A month or two later, he died.

    I love interpreting dreams.

^^I've had that before. The day before my grandma was diagnosed, I had a dream she was already dead and I was the only one who knew.

A psychic said that if you see a relative that's passed away in your dreams, you're supposed to try and ask it questions. Like, do you miss me or whatever you want. But it's hard to control dreams.

    ^ That would make sense.

I don't recall ever seeing a dead relative in a dream, just thoughts of them being dead more than anything.

It is hard to control dreams, but it is possible. The mind is a very powerful thing. If people were not so closed minded about it, they would realize that the mind can move mountains. If someone tried hard enough, they could read another person's mind. You could lift heavier objects, you could get over an illness faster if you are set on doing so.

I've controlled dreams before but I wake extremely tired from it. It's usually when I'm in a deep sleep that I can't control them because I'm not focused.

I'm not sure if I've ever controlled a dream. If I have, I don't recall it now.
Before I fall asleep at night, I clear my mind and try to communicate with the other side.
    Usually it works.

I have never really tried to do that before...possibly because I am so worn out from the day that I just want to get to sleep. I know I have had nights where I have not been able to sleep and find myself listening in to conversations late at night between spirits in completely different plains. No one is awake in my house while I do this, so it obviously is not the television or any of my family.

As a kid I used to talk to people who I thought were there. They weren't invisible friends because I felt that they had a sort of... presence.

SO, as I got older I started having dreams that basically channeled all of my childhood experiences with these "spirits". Some nights I'll have dreams and they'll actually tell me what will happen in a few days. Like I'll have a dream that I tripped over the stairs and cut my knee really badly and it'll happen a few days later.

I always think that these experiences are because of the "spirits" I confronted when I was a kid. But I'm a very big skeptic- and although I watch Ghost Hunters and believe what's going on there, it's hard for me to believe in my own experiences.

To me, it sounds like I'm tapping into another telephone conversation... it's almost fuzzy like on a phoneline. Sometimes, it's really clear, though... is that how it sounds to you?

That's exactly how it sounds to me.
Also, when I start hearing all of those voices, I tend to get very dizzy, and I hear things happening around the house.
One night, I had woken up around 2am-ish, and I started hearing all of these voices. It was as if I was listening in to a crowd of people's conversation. I started getting dizzy, and my room looked different. I kept hearing a loud banging on my bedroom door, and it wouldn't stop. The next thing I knew, I was trying to scream for my grandmother in the next room, but it was like my body wouldn't let me speak. I was just saying her name in a loud whisper.
That night scared me to death.

My experience is like that, not completely, though. Sometimes it's like a room of people, like I'm eavesdropping. I try to ask questions, and I concentrate on my questions... I usually get an answer.

One time, all I could hear was growling. No voices. I had freaked out feeling, as you can imagine, and I refused to go sleep. I wouldn't let myself concentrate, because I was afraid something else was on the plane, or I reached a new plane. I didn't like it, and I wish I could find out what happened that night.

Another time, long before the above incident, I wasn't even concentrating, and a young girl screamed my name... like a blood curdling scream... of my name.

That scared the crap out of me.

    Any theories?

My mom's boyfriend has this theory [it's buddhist, actually] that people that hurt you in this life are actually friends of yours that you made before you both you came to this side and they are helping you, making you stronger by hurting you.
We [meaning Kristen and I] believe that the girl who destroyed my life will come back in her next one and have to suffer through everything she made me suffer through.

I really have no theories on what had happened to you, Leonore Paisley. Possibly the girl was trying to get your attention (obviously, since she screamed your name).
I really have nothing to say about the growling. Maybe it was a different type of animal that lives on another plane (Chupacabra *sp*?). Or just one of your animal spirit guides. They could have been growling at you, or growling at something else, trying to protect you. I am not so sure.

That's a good theory, and it would make sense, had I not been scared to death of it. It wasn't... normal. It sounded... evil.

Did it sound like a dog's growl? Can you describe what kind of an animal it sounded like?

It was like... I dunno. It was, for loss of a better word, demonic.
It had no specific animal characteristic... but it wasn't like a dog, or anything I've ever heard.
