Chubby Checker played a concert in Chalmette a few weeks ago for a benefit for the fisherman.
It's the only concert I've ever heard being played in St. Bernard.

I didn't go though. The tix were kinda expensive. >.>

Neon Trees

Their album came out all the way in frickin' March and I just discovered them like, a month ago and holy fuck do I like them a lot. Especially live. I've been watching YouTube videos of them performing live and they're so good. Their frontman is a complete spazz and is adorable/hilarious. And they have a very awesome cover/mashup of Baby by the Biebs and Stand By Me. The singer's voice is just...guh.

I'm very irritated that I didn't discover them a lot sooner because they came here in July.

Avenged Sevenfold. I've always known about them, but I never actually listened to them properly until a couple of weeks ago.

Anti-Flag & Hatebreed. I knew OF them but never bothered trying them out until recently.
