Put age limits, stop children buying them, don't stock them in children's bookshops but please don't burn them!!
I always think there's an ulterior motive to burning books, because there is a messages they don't want to be spread.... I'm a conspiracy theorist at heart!!!

Whenever anyone says about burning books I think about the Nazi regime in Germany, how they only wanted Nazi ideologies being spread so they burned books containing anything other than that....

I can actually think of a book that was yanked from Amazon due to content. It was about "consensual" pedophilia and raised a lot of hackles. Amazon saw a major backlash and pulled it. So I can understand doing that. But still. Banning books doesn't solve anything. Head on over to AFF where the accounts are free and some of the stories have the most insane plots ever. Literature doesn't just come in book form. That being said, banning a book for homosexual content is the fastest way to get on my shit list. This country needs to quit acting like that because how do you make LBGTQIA kids and teens feel by banning a book specifically because it deals with characters like them? For shame, America.
