I'm glad you got to have such an experience, no matter how short lived it was. I wouldn't have been able to let her go - much as Heretic said - but maybe she was only in your life for this very reason, to open you up to loving cats :D

I actually did that Picked up my mates cat, pilfered food out of her fridge, got comfy and asked her what the WiFi password was
