I want to loose weight and be less chubby. I tried cutting sugary foods out of my diet and replacing them with fruits and stuff, but I couldn't resist chocolate and those other foods that are bad for you.

    :grr:

    I'm about 53kg's, which is 116 pounds, I think & I'm about 5'3.

I need the will-power, I'd love to be thinner.
Pretty sure I'd do a lot to be 116.
    But, yeah, same here.
It seems to be really hard to lose weight, especially when you're younger.
    I wonder why that is.

I have almost the same height/weight as you have.
    >_>
I hate it when people tell me that I shouldn't lose weight. I am really chubby.

Try finding a fruit that you adore and obsess over it instead of eating chocolate. I love oranges so I eat them whenever I crave for something sweet.

Same here. People say I'm just the average weight and size but I'm not.
    :grr:

    I'll try that..

My BMI isn't that great. I'm more than I should be.

It's just, i've felt like the fat one all my life anyway so.. yeah. I don't know, I just guess i can't see myself being slim. I should still try, but.. Yeah.

My BMI was in average weight. I'm always torn between being fine how I am and wanting to be thinner. =/

    dude.

losing weight is so stressful, but i guess it gives you something do. i like made this diary of all the things i used to eat and i looked back over it a few days ago and its intense. i think its hilarious.

if you want to loose weight sure its for the right reasons, dont do it because you feel you need to because your friends are slim or somthing do it to feel better with yourself. oh and i think if someone tells you your fat then they can go suck ass crack! love yourself, no matter how hard it is. :D xx

Me to. My BMI is like 21 which is right where it should be for average weight. But I feel like I could be getting skinnier and that my stomach is disgusting. But everyone says that if I got any skinner I'd look dead >_O

BMI is often a load of poo.

It doesn't take into account so many factors that you can't rely on it, really... although, if your BMI is 40 or something, chances are you need to lose weight. But slightly 'overweight'? It's more about how you feel and (to an extent, but society's 'ideal' isn't something to go by) how you look than the number.

    I wanna.
Just cause it's good for you.
And I'm not in the best shape.

I like working out in my gym. (In my house, not a public one, -ugh-)
But I mean...that sweet tooth. UGH.
Impossible! I skip gym, and hate sports.
    So...what do I do?
The gym seems to be doing nothing...

My Mom is one of New Zealands best athletes...
And then she has this little chubster for a daughter. xD

I honestly can't be bothered with loosing weight. Although I keep telling myself to go for a run through the olive grove down the road, I just never get round to it.

I limit myself to what I eat. and if I eat anything like a chocolate bar I have to excersise it off. I'm really weird like that.

Actually, the older you get, the harder it is. I've heard that from so many people. If you stick to a diet & Exersize routine, the weight will come off, even if it's just a pound or two a week.

joggin is my savior. Just wake up 1/2 hour earlier and go outside for a mile or two (a mile is on average 8 blocks, may variey depending on where you live).

It can be very relaxing and easy to run off the pounds.

And also, write down what you eat. Diets can be unhealthy. But if you write down everything, you can think "Huh, I had some candy earlier today, so I shouldn't have a cookie now." It also helps you think if you're getting enought fruits/veggies/protien and all.

When I was young I was always so freaking slim. Then I moved countries and now, I'm almost overweight. It sucks. But I'm 5,7 so nobody really sees it apparently... If I was shorter, I'd be so fat >_<

I also tend to find jogging relaxing. There's a bike path by my house, and since it's spring, it's starting to turn green and pretty, so I like to go in there, blast my Ipod and just jog at an even pace. And if I get cramps, I try to ignore them. A lot of it is a mind game. Take your mind off the pain, try to pretend it's not there. Hell I found out I can almost jog for about 10-15 mins straight without walking. I haven't done that since....forever :cheese: I'm probably in the best physical shape I've ever been in, and I'm still shooting to get in even better shape before I ship off to Navy Bootcamp, and even when I'm there, I'll tighten all my flab, and I may even drop another 20 plus pounds.

Yeah...wanna lose weight? join the military :shifty (Well when you turn 17 that is) :shifty

    I used to run loads.
I was like the schools best runner and I'd have really fast time and I'd actually look forward to going running every other morning.
But I stopped running one summer and now I'm hopeless.
There's that plan down the drain.
I should probably try and start that up again.

People say that to me too! "You don't need to lose weight - you'd be too thin"
I'm just like... I'll never be too thin unless I stopped eating o__o
I'd just like a flatter stomach and I'd be happy.
It's not so much the weight thing with me, cause my BMI's fine too, I suppose its more toning up?

^ I'd probably say yes, it's a matter of toning/tightening muscle. If you've got extra flab on your stomach, I'd suggest getting into a routine of doing so many sit-ups in the morning and/or evening.

I've got extra stomach flab, but I know it'll all tighten up when I go to boot camp. My mom jokes that I'll come out with six pack abs :lmfao Which I highly doubt.

Okay. So my diet now is one scoop per meal, and I only wake up in time for lunch, so screw breakfast. In my country, we eat rice and viands for meals, so yeah. And I eat nothing in between lunch and dinner. And nothing in between dinner until the time I sleep.

    And it's working. Smiley

But my friends don't approve of my diet. Disgust
