Volunteer Work 'Cause It's So Awesome

I'm going to volunteer at the local animal shelter. My orientation is today.

Do you volunteer? Where do you volunteer? We want to know.

I'm volunteering at my camp's mini session at the end of the summer as a stage-hand. It's gonna be fun. =)

Senior Center. Once a month.

I'm in CSF, one of those public service clubs.

The only place I really volunteer through there is RAFT, Resource Area For Teachers.
It's really cool, and they gave me an offer for some volunteer internship thing. (:

I sometimes volunteer at the animal shelter during the summer.

I volunteer at a hospital on Tuesdays and Fridays, then I work there and get paid on Wednesdays and Saturdays, or whenever else they need me.

My volunteer work is mostly just filing and stuff...it's pretty boring.

I volunteer at my local recreational center's summer camp, just because I need to many hours to graduate.
Watch the kids, go with them on field trips, it's pretty fun for volunteer work.

I volunteer at an animal shelter!
It’s fun. I get to walk dogs and brush cats and feed them and such.
It’s really good.

I volunteer at a barn for special needs kids once a week.
I usually lead around the horse while they ride.
It's not that bad, unless the horse bites.

I volunteer at Brunelcare..it's just a charity shop thing, though.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter - unfortunately, it led to me finding out that I was allergic to cats so I had to leave.

I was volunteering at this program my Aunt helps run.
It involved me (and a few other kids) watching a bunch of little children while their mothers were at different workshops.

It was all cool...until the kids started making fun of me. Calling me 'crazy'.
They didn't even know my name! It was just, "Hey crazy..."

And then there was the time I locked myself in the bathroom because they were trying to attack me. :shock:

I've worked with animals, helped clean up the environment=) and I volunteer at my barn: cleaning horse stalls, sweeping, feeding and turning out=)

As part of my Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze award, I help out a drama group on Saturdays. :D

I was a volunteer at an animal shelter for awhile, however I actually work there now. This summer I plan on volunteering somewhere, I just haven't made up my mind as to what I want to do yet. I'll either volunteer at the retirement home (I know that probably sounds lame, but honestly it isn't. Elderly people get lonely and it's a rewarding experience :D) or I'll volunteer at the zoo. The zoo is rather inconvenient because of the drive though. It's only about 40 minutes but with gas being so crazy I haven't decided if I can commit to that yet.

I once offered to volunteer for my sister's daycare. Then I was like 'screw this, I have a life'

Yeah, I volunteer at a disabled people's home.
It doesn't sound all that good, but it's rewarding and you do meet loads of people who you'd never come across otherwise.

I volunteer at a lcoal community radio station...I payed £1 xD
I also volunteer at the local Nature Reserve Shop.

The radio station pwns apart from "Come in as much as possible" Every Saturday I'm there...Every day off school I'm there...I have no social life! I do just about everything :XD

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter until I was diagnosed, but I loved it. It wouldn't be a good place to work if you have and allergies, though.

I want to volunteer at the human society but you have to be 16.
So i have about six months to go.
But I'm excited.

I volunteered at the local animal shelter for Service Learning. I worked with the cats (I can't have any, cuz my mom is allergic, so that rocked) and sometimes the dogs. I also washed dishes, cages, whatever else they needed me to do. I'd work there again if it wasn't so far of a drive :)

I'm definitely doing something next year, if I get the chance.
