I drink a fair bit. I drink when I go out to parties, when I have piss ups with friends, when I go out, special occasions and more.

I often binge drink and drink just to get drunk. I find it fun!

People have recently been telling me how unacceptable this is, especially because I am underage. What are your opinions? Are you for or against drinking?

I'm for drinking in moderate amounts. I don't like what a lot alcohol can do to people. It's upsetting to watch someone you love do stupid things when they're 'under the influence of alcohol'. Take my mother for example, she gets bitchy and screams at everyone when she drinks, also she smokes a ton more cigarettes than she normally would.

That's not good. :( I totally agree though. Alcohol does tend to make you do stupid things.

I’ve had too many bad experiences with drunk people to think that it’s okay. I’ve experienced and witnessed how it completely destroys lives and persons. How parents have completely messed up their children’s life just because the parents were/are alcoholic. And then how the kids grew up and went onto destroying what was left of their teen years and childhood. I’m not gonna lie, I hate people getting drunk. And there were a lot of reasons behind my decision to never get drunk. And so far I’m sticking to it and I plan to do so for the rest of my life.

I do think, however, that it’s okay to drink. I drink moderately and occasionally. But I just can’t stand people getting wasted. Even more so because since I’m always the sober one I (feel like I) have to take care of everyone and fix their mess. I don’t really know anyone that’s like a “happy” drunk. Everyone I know of (like people around me) always get depressed. It’s really painful to deal with. And does who doesn’t always get sad end up doing the most idiotic things instead. Some may think that it’s not my problem. But the thing is, these persons are very close to me. So it is very much my problem.

Yeah. So I guess I’m not against drinking per se. I’m just strongly against getting wasted. But then again, I’m very biased when it comes to this topic. So my opinion is mainly based on emotions. But yeah, I’m sticking with it anyway. x ]

Sure, there are a lot of expectations, but in general; I don't mind people drinking.
I don't really see a diffence between binge drinking and drinking to get wasted as fast as possible.
Aren't you actually doing both, even if you're intending to only do the latter? I'm not sure how that works.. ?

I don't drink often, but I do drink to get wasted, I don't actually like the taste of wine or whatever. I think it's bad for kids to drink until they're at least 16.
I never drink alcohol when I'm feeling really low, I never drink when I'm by myself, I don't mix drinks with other chemical substances, I don't drive when I drink and I don't get agressive off of it.

Binge drinking is bad. Alcohol damages your liver etc [I bet you already know that] and it's just not nice to continuouslly fdrink just to get drunk. Personally, even though I'm only 13, I cannot stand the taste or smell of alcohol. I doubt i'll ever drink because it makes me feel sick.

I generally drink to get drunk, but I was never drunk before the age of 18. [Yes, I know the legal drinking age is 21.] Honestly, I think it depends on the person.

I think drinking is fine if it's social, underage or not. Getting drunk for the hell of it is probably not the best idea, but if it's what you want to do, and you can control it, then it's fine. The problem starts if you become alcohol dependant. It's not a good place to be.

    I'm for it.
But if your inexperienced do it under the observation of sober friends and at home.
So you can find out what your future actions will be like.

I am for drinking, with a few conditions.

-If you're going to get drunk; do it in the house. Don't act the fool in public.

-Don't drink your troubles away. That just shows how pathetic and weak you are and yes I am aware that Gerard Way had a drinking/depression problem.

-Know your limit and don't drink and drive. :D

Drinking is fine when it's in moderation. I don't like to see people ruin their organs and health because they drink too much.

I can understand why some people hate it, but personally, I have no problem. There are certain people that can't handle alcohol or shouldn't even be near it, and there are some who know their limits and can deal with it.

It's better to find out what it is exactly you're going to do before you go out and get smashed in public. ;)

I actually like how you put it.
People should be careful about how much they drink but the reason why I hate it is because, once in high school, my older brother use to get so wasted that on one occasion, his friends dragged him into the house.
It’s a free country and you can do pretty much whatever the fuck you want but one thing I can’t stand for shit is Drunk Driving.
Now that is something really bad.

I say go ahead and drink all you want. If you want to screw up your liver, fine, go on ahead. But I don't tolerate drunk driving.

I agree. I don't care if people drink, hell, I do, but drunk drivers outrage me. If the person wants to drink, fine, but I don't believe it is ever alright to put other's lives in danger.

    Totally agree.
I do drink but I never drink and drive.
Hell, I don't even go driving with other people when I am under the influence, except for taxi's.

I don't see a problem with it as long as you're not doing it constantly or letting it drinking habits or behavior get too out of control.

My rule is tipsy around town and where there could be cops. But house parties are for getting completely wasted.

I like to be intoxicated, I'm way too shy unless I have liquor in me.
