I really only drink on the weekends though usually, if the person is fine with me passing out somewhere in their house, when I do drink I tend to not stop until I pass out... :shifty
I don't really set out to get that drunk but after a while I just drink anything.

I can't drink pre-mixed drinks anymore though, last holidays I was at a party and I drank heaps of those pre-mixed girly drinks and ended up being sick for the next two days. Now when ever I drink them I just remember feeling sick :XD
I just stick with shots or jager bombs now.

I don't mean to offend anyone who drinks, but I have had very bad experiences with my grandmother who was for years a binge drinker.

She did many things to me such as Emotionally and Physically abuse me. She screamed and yelled at me, grabbed my wrist tight and chopped off a lot of my hair, and many other things.

She has made me suicidal many times due to her alcoholic rage. I remember one time she tried to murder my uncle by throwing a vase at him, luckily it shattered the grandfather clock behind him instead.

Sorry if I offended anyone, but I have had bad experiences with people who drink. It has made me depressed and now it is hard for me to forgive my grandma for what she did. It is very haunting in my memory and I often have nightmares and flash backs. It is really a problem.

I'm not against drinking, but I understand there can be dangers with drinking a lot. I drink occasionally, but ever since I went paraletic once I don't drink half as much as I did then. I like to just get a little bit tipsy and then have a laugh, but anything more than that and the whole being sick thing just isn't fun and I hate it. I have some friends who drink loads and it's up to them at the end of the day- but I like it in moderation. (: I also have a little thing at the moment for drinking a glass of wine when I'm with my boyfriend and watching a film; it's lovely. :XD

If you're being mature about drinking, I say it's nice to drink something here and there, on parties and special occasions.
But, if you can't handle your alcohol, than it's better that you stay away from the liquor cabinet, overall; especially if you're underage and do stupid shit while drunk.
It doesn't make you look cool, it only makes you look stupid.

It bothers me, when people need to have alcohol or other substances at any kind of get-together to feel relaxed and have a good time(sure, parties are okay, but I'm talking about an everyday type of thing).

However, if you know where your limit is, and don't cross it, even when drunk, then well, go ahead for all I care.

Also, I hate it when I see younger people write about "LET'S GO FORGET THE PAIN BY DRINKING TONIGHT!1! :'( :'(" on their MSN status.
That, my darlings, is pretty fucking lame to me.
Verdict: a hard bitch-slap of reality; you barely know how the world works, please, restrain yourself from stupid statements like these, it makes you look idiotic. :file:

    /rant

But, if not mixed with stupidity, alcohol can be loads of fun.

Binge drinking is bad. Alcohol damages your liver etc [I bet you already know that] and it's just not nice to continuouslly fdrink just to get drunk. Personally, even though I'm only 13, I cannot stand the taste or smell of alcohol. I doubt i'll ever drink because it makes me feel sick.
Same. I just don't see the appeal. I mean, it makes you do idiotic things, hangovers are horrible, you throw up after. To me, that means 'Don't pick it up!'
I personally couldn't ever drink. :file:

The way I see it, almost everything is bad for you. In some shape or form, everything can kill you. You have to pick your poisons. I like alcohol, and I like cigarettes. I don't "overdo" either, I do them as I please, in moderation. Most of the time, it's for fun. Other times, to distract myself.

I love the feeling of inebriation. Just...being lost like that. I don't like getting hammered and having alcohol poisoning (WHICH ISN'T FUN, AHH Yak), but sipping on it and getting buzzed...I don't see a problem with.

Some wines are great for your health, too.

    To each their own, though.

I've never had alcohol before, but I'm not against it.
I think drinking in moderation is ok, but I don't like being around drunks.
Also I don't like how a room smells after a party with alcohol. It makes me sick to my stomach.
I don't plan on drinking anytime soon, but I can't say I'll never try it.

My body reacts really unpredictably with alcohol, so I tend not to drink alot.
I've only been really properly drunk once and that was off wine and vodka drinks, which are usually the worst to make me ill, but I was fine.
On other occasions, I've had just a glas or two and I've stayed up all night feeling nauseous. Not nice. :|

I'm a bit strange with alcohol. Growing up, I was surrounded by alcoholics, so it's a bit... I have a lot of bad experiences while in the care of people who cared more about buying a cheap box of wine than cooking dinner.

I don't see much wrong with drinking, I mean, I drink... I find it helps alleviate emo-ness, to be honest (which it doesn't, being a depressant and all), but when I'm very down and not at work, it's not uncommon for me to get a bit tipsy in the early afternoon 'to deal', fall asleep and wake up all "wha-? where did my day go?"

    I probably shouldn't drink, though.

    Well... yes and no.
Some wines may have a few health benefits, but wine is not needed for a well-balanced diet. It's not like non-drinkers are missing out on some special health benefit.

I've never been drunk. Never seen the appeal.
It doesn't make you have a laugh. It's a depressant, and it makes you say/do things you wouldn't do sober. Don't you think there's a reason you wouldn't say/do them sober?
It's being out with your friends that makes you have a laugh. Not the alcohol.

But it reduces your inhibitions which can also mean you're more relaxed about things than you would be when you're sober. Some people need that. You don't do things when you're sober because you feel under pressure not to, and to behave 'normally', and I don't think it's bad to let your boundaries down once in a while. /hippy.

I mean, I wouldn't dance when I'm sober. But I would if I'd had a drink. Or, if everybody around me had had a drink. I'd just feel more chilled out and less like 'omg! social situation! freak out!' like I am normally. And I don't think dancing is a bad thing to do, so it's not really a problem.

    That's not all true.

I've only had a hangover once because I sleep it out.
I've never been sick after drinking.

I don't understand why people think they need to drink to have fun at parties. I have plenty of fun sober, so don't shove a drink in my face and tell me to have some. i don't fucking want to. Deal with it.

I don't drink. I've never thought it was cool, all throughout high school, and now most of my friends have finally seen the light. Well, some of my friends. I just hate the way everyone in my year looks forward to getting shitfaced at a party, or sneaking into the pub with a fake ID or turning 18 and being able to go to the pub without a fake ID. It just seems so... stupid.

So I guess I'm not against alcohol entirely (some of it tastes alright, and if in moderation I guess it can be relaxing), just the whole 'drinking to get drunk' thing, and how it's apparently so cool.
