I have nightmares really frequently. I'm like 14 years old and I have nightmares at least 3 times a week without fail.

I lose sleep over it and become irritable because of them. I know why I have them and the cause and all, but I don't know how to stop them.
    Any tips?

The thing about my nightmares is that they seem so real. So when I wake up I always think that they've actually happened and it usually stresses me out for half the day until I figure out it's not actually real.

My dreams are usually pretty random. The setting of them switches frequently. But usually they're about people I know. Or just off the wall shit. lol. Although for the couple of weeks I haven't been able to remember my dreams.

I've had a couple dreams in which me and my friends were going or were at an My Chemical Romance show, or meeting My Chemical Romance. Not many though.

Ever since school let out a month ago, I've been having a lot of dreams where it's the last day of school. Or just being in school, in general.

I've had some dreams make sense to me. Like, it may have been some off the wall shit happening, but when I woke up, the reason made sense. I had some dreams in which I was being forgotten, and one of my friends had become the bestest of friends with my best friend [while weird shit happened], and when I woke up, I knew it was because lately I had been feeling jealous of their relationship.

I've had a lot of dreams involving my ex, mostly with the feeling that we'd get back together, since we stopped seeing each other. Lots and lots of dreams. If I remember and counted correctly, my ex and the same basic situation were in my dreams for two weeks straight. At least one every night.

Most of my dreams have my best friend in it somehow. Sometimes it's just us. Sometimes its us and one of our families. Us and our friends. Us and random people we don't know. Us and famous people. All while weird shit ensues.

Last night, I had a dream that I was at school and I couldn't find her. I kept searching the whole school, asking people, looking everywhere, and I couldn't find her. It kind of scared me.

I've had a few weird dreams, but my most vivid ones were about the Apocalypse.

Those really put the fear of God into you if anything can. I still get a little shaken up thinking about them. They were terrifying, but beautiful at the same time.

One, I was in the back seat of our old car, and my mom and brother were in the fron seat, and we were like, racing down the road. The sky was this orange red color, and there were two suns and two moons and they were in the sky together. Then I closed my eyes and prayed with my mom and brother, and I woke up with my voice just sort of echoing "Please, God, Please........" in blackness. It was one of those things that makes your chest feel hollow when you wake up because you're so aware of how big everything is around you.

Another one was where the dream started out where I could hear people's voices, but it was too dark to see anything, and everyone was confused. Then everything got light, and we saw Jesus coming down on a cloud and then everyone saw these lost scrool type thing, which were apparently lost forever, but we found them. It was weird, but still really....astounding.

In another one, I was fighting off zombies, which were the dead risen again, and the sun had like, this giant cover on it, which made a cross. It was crazy.

I know all of these are really religous. But, they were the most.....emotional ones I've ever had.

The only one I can really think of right now is where I was in a dirty dress looking into a dirty cracked mirror that had blood splattered on it and I was crying.

And one with Gerard way giving me by bag back at my old school and MCR coming to play at my school.

I saved the world by sacrificing myself.

I've been having that one for years and years now. Names and places change but the same sorta thing happens.

When I was reading The Stand by Stephen King, I had this recurring dream.
It was based around the book, and myself and a few friends were the people looking for God and the Devil.
One nightmare, there were two houses side by side and we had to choose which one.
Of course I chose the one that no one else chose, and it happened to be the Devil's.
    Yeah, I was killed..

    [Double post, sorry..]

Another one I can think of, I had it about a week after my aunt died.
I was badly shaken after her death, and it showed.

I dreamt myself and my parents were on a bus.
As we stood to get off, the bus spun round a corner and we were travelling in a desert-like area.
We turned to tell the driver to stop, and everyone on the bus suddenly looked to the sky and shut their eyes fiercly.[sp?]
There were two people sitting in the back, though, that were normal. They were sitting, chatting away to one another.
I looked closer and saw it was my aunt and my nanny. [who died a year before]

I'd like to think it means something.

My dreams inspire some stories I make. They also inspire characters, personal lyrics, things like that. And even if I get nightmares, they always end with a billion roses and crying when I wake up. Pretty much...awesome? :file:

I always have nightmares where I'm just laid there and the girl from The Ring or The Grudge is stood at the bottom of my bed, staring at me.

I also have them where, say if I'm facing the wall and I can feel there's someone beside my bed but I can't turn around. I'm sleeping but it feels like I'm awake, I can't move at all and have to wake myself up. They're freaky.

And whenever I dream about bands they're always these fat old dudes, it's kind of creepy really.

My dreams usually involve getting hurt... I'll tell you some short ones...
I was at a museum and this guys was asking me some questions about the gun in front of me but I got it wrong so he picked up the gun and gave me another chance but I got it wrong again so he shot me in the arm and kept shooting and I could see all the bones! It was gross! But the stange thing is that I didn't move! I mean... What the Hell?
I have a lot about drowning too and never being able to swim back up and it keeps getting darker and darker as I go deeper... I HATE those.
My weirdest was probably... walking to school in my underwear and then it flicker to walking back from school with friends and one hid behind a car and I asked what she was doing and she told me that she was waiting for her Mum so I went to her house (like I usually do after school) and get on my scooter and went home like normal... apart from I was still in my undies! hmm... weird!

    Yeah, I get this too.
But, the thing is, I've seen a doctor about it (My mother's weird like that) and there is actually a condition where you get nightmares, but to such a severe level - they're so much worse.
They seem more real and take over your whole body - for example, if you had a dream that you were tied up, you'd wake up and for like half an hour, your body would be totally stiff.
I probably don't explain it very well, but yeah it could explain a lot of people's problems with nightmares that really affect day-to-day life.

When I was 9-11 I remember having a weird dream of me being backed into a corner.. I still dont know what that ones about :S.
And now, aged 13. I cant remeber any dreams as soon as I wake up their gone. :(

I had this dream last week where I had been kidnapped and I was in this cold dark room and this weird old guy kept coming in and torturing me in really gruesome ways. I've had that dream twice since. I don't know what it's about but it scares the crap out of me every time :(

I had this dream last night and it was quite weird.
I was in my room and I had just given birth. And I was holding this baby, but I wasn't tired or anything and the baby had clothes on, like it had be born with them, I was just walking around my room with the baby when a lady appeared and said I should put the baby down to sleep.
And so I walked to my bed and placed the baby down. And the lady said something about making sure it's head was supported and so I said to the baby 'Lift up your head' so I could place a little pillow under it and the baby just lifted up it's head and smiled.
That was odd because it had just been born and it was wide awake and just so..not new...
It ended with me being really proud of the baby because it lifted up it's head.
    It was pretty wack.
Any ideas on what it could mean?

Hm, I remember running from zombies and mutant spiders.
And getting thrown off a steep hill in a sleeping bag.

And about every dream I have... the cops come and bust a cap in my ass.

    Disgust
